@Elithebadboy We no longer have this one. Many people buy the plans and have someone locally build it for them, or build it themselves. Let me know if you have any other questions. gizmoplans
Hi, I read about you in MDA's Quest magazine. You were very inspirational to me, I have FSHD also. I think it's amazing how you can do all the things you do, as I have a really hard time figuring out how to keep doing things and keep my balance, also bending over and getting back up is impossible w/out help. I had a question. was wondering why you crush the wheels and cut the tires, is it just to save space in landfill? Don't think so. You must do something else w/ them, right?
can I ask what the point of doing this is

@foxxentertainmentvid Easily removes and cuts tires and compacts rims for recycling.

Is there anyway to make it so it will cruch 17" rims?
MrLeonard55 1 year ago
@MrLeonard55 You could modify/beef up the plans to crush 17", but split rims probably wouldn't work.

Whats the biggest whell it will crush?
MrLeonard55 1 year ago
@MrLeonard55 16" standard tires and rims, NO split rims.

do you have to worry about split rims or does take car of them too?

If you wanted to crush split rims you would have to make a larger unit, this unit would not be able to crush split rims

how much force in lbs. does this require?
mainerd72 2 years ago
Hello
The force of the hydraylic cylinder is 70,000 lbs ........(6" Diameter cylinder with 2,500 PSI)
The crushing arms and linkage is designed such that the crushing force is multiplied as the cylinder
is extending. At the final end of the stroke the arm ends have 10 times the force of the cylinder.
It is Very Powerful and much care must be used during operation. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you - Brian

@minstrelmanswife
if you realise it cost money to get rid of tires even when they are cut like that.
this way they can pay to get rid of them by the ton, instead of indidualy
