From what I've been told, fancy dancers back in the day like Jack Hokeah, Woogie Watchataker, Steven Mopope and Mead Chibitty used to dance to slow, medium AND fast songs. Yeah Tuffys keen.

And by fast songs I don't mean contemporary style "bullet" songs. Some other ol' goot 1's were Ted Moore, Scotty Bradshaw, Warney Weller, Elmer Brown. All said to be among the greatest.

Mike's ,who sponsored the special, dad used to have him follow woogie around when mike was young and was told to watch and learn from woogie..So Mike's been follown some of those guys growing up and watchin all those guys you mentioned fancy dancin. I 've never seen tuffy dance this way it was really a show case of of the era he was dancing because it wasn't a bullet song. Mike 's not dancing woogie style but the original style. Different styles, different era's different famous dancers.
