i've been listening to your version of this song for a long while and i have to say i love your version is my favorite, but i have one question. What is in the video? what is it a picture of?
@JustForGiggles2012 hi, it's just the outside of where i was living at the time.. a cold, hard rained on floor, a bin, fence and a wooden crate for storing logs - nothing too interesting I'm afraid, but i think the rain added to the feeling of what i was singing :)
thanks for stopping by my channel, and I'm glad you like my music.. do send me details of your festivals, I'm always interested in music related travel opportunities!
Very, well done version of the song i think you did a wonderful job you seem like a very talented artist with a good agent and writer you could easily go pro
As I'm listening to this I;m imagining the song played on a movie screen a crisp fall-into-wintery afternoon in Kentucky or Tennessee, going from scenes of trees to a main female character... awesome rendition of this song man.
Give Nautical Disaster by the Tragically Hip (and of course The Band's Night They Drove Old Dixie Down) a shot
really great job man! nice and slow and real. great job on the guitar too. listen to the one by our artist Rowdy Gantz. it's in my videos. let me know what you think.
Awesome cover! Leadbelly is great, Kurt Cobain is great, and Joe Burton is certainly up there! First time I've heard you play and sing, & I'm impressed - your voice is perfect for a song like this, and I do intend to check out your other songs! Good luck!
great job, but i have to admit i was hoping for some of that kurt cobain blood curdling screaming (apparently he had an ulcer at the time and the screaming was driven from the pain). song gives me the goosebumps.
yeh, I could have perhaps gone for it a bit more.. but then again I don't think anything really is going to compare to kurt's version may he rest in peace! :)
Your voice sounds great on this. Way back (god do I feel OLD!) I used to listen to the Leadbelly version. You'd love it if you haven't heard it yet!Congrats

Never let anyone take the rough edge out of you.
This music was written to be performed like it was written on a rusted blade.

I like your version of the song: you achieved to turn the despair into an intimate expression. Check our version, I´d like to know your opinion.

Sorry, I've got to post another comment...you inspired me to search youtube and I found this awesome video of Leadbelly, it's titled
"Leadbelly - 1945". The Grey Goose song is probably one on the best freedom songs ever written! Cheers
