i dont argue that but more players challenge shots now there are players who are known only for their defense and you didnt see that back then if you see the jordan higlights youll see that he got around easier because the defenders where bad i mean thats just my opinion

@87lakersdodgers... your right. in jordans day, all defenders could play was man to man. now you are allowed to play a zone. which means kobe is doubled, tripled, and sometimes teamed up by four defenders keying him. he still does it though. so as they say. momma there goes that man.

yes but sometimes the refs let it go with physical defense unless it goes nuts now. i doubt they were consistently physical back then.
also there are much more complicated defensive schemes and tactics to stop guys too.

Lakers are only going to get better and when the Playoffs start the Lakers are going to be virtually unstopable with a solid win against Orlando the Lakers once again proved themselvs. Shannon Brown is getting better and better and if he gains more confidence and be more consistent just imagine what the Lakers can do the Lakers are better than last year hands down!

what Jordan has done to the game is phenomenal...and that it took his game to raise the rest of the league. But to say that Kobe is not worthy of mention among the greats is just ignorant. Kobe is the one that all kids want to be, just as it was for Jordan two decades ago. Kobe is the golden standard for this generation because he has a complete game. Shot, drive, dish, defend...there is nothing he can't do. some have just offense, just a shot or just defense. Kobe has it all.
