  • simplemente estupendos las 4-6-4 en la Water level route,

felicidades por presentar este video ilustrativo e historico del NYC. juanm

  • Wow! No dislikes!! This video must have some kind of anti-retard filter. Kudos to you for posting, Batman. The NYC was at the very core of the art decco era. I wonder, has there been a statue erected to Raymond Lowey.

  • By far, the 20th Century Limited is my favorite train ever! Thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks for posting! Did you notice the scene at 1:20 is running backward!

  • Incredible what American rail travel was at one time. Fast, clean, convenient. It's too bad that Eisenhower pushed for the Federal Highway Act, which resulted in our interstate system and the doom knell for passenger rail travel. It's good that we have Amtrak, but it's a tiny shadow of what we once had.

  • @ACLTony: You are right. And it was the A F of L, C I O that "somehow or other" managed to get the absolute exclusion of tractor trailer trucks from the Interstate Highway System lifted. The roads were not intended nor designed for truck traffic. That's why the entire infrastructure is falling apart. Corruption, that's it.
