  • @invisibleisolation We agree our ultimate goal is to put ourselves out of "business" and I'm sure this will happen when the private ownership of these animals is banned, but until then we will continue to RESCUE these animals from bad situations and provide them with a permanent home for the rest of their lives. Surely this is more humane than euthanizing these animals? We as a sanctuary have everything a zoo can provide these animals.

  • poor tigers! this is too bad!!

  • Dumb ppl . this is very sad , wild animals should be in wild .

  • these people doing this need to be arrested, thrown into prison FOREVER .............these animals are so innocent !!! :'(

  • People just amaze me sometimes. **shaking head**

    What were they thinking???

  • so cruel =[

  • that is so sad to see, i really dont understand why this is still legal.... its dangerous for the people with no lock on the cage! and it is horrible for the cats, i think that you dont have a heart when you do such a thing....

  • Is there any update on these two tigers?

  • @No3Patriot No update...unfortunately they are probably still in the same cage :( You can help us put this abuse to an end by visiting CatLaws*com Thank you

  • Big Cat Rescue!

I read somewhere that you save cats from backyards like these. How does that work? How can you save them without going through legal issues?

That is so sad! I'd like to see the humans who keep them there spend one week in that cage. There's like no room for them to do ANYTHING!!! and they don't even give them fresh water or clean the cage.... this is just wrong.

  • @holasweety2 Hi, we require owners to sign the animals over to us and for them to sign an agreement to never own another exotic cat, because we could be taking these older and often sick cats off their hands for them to go out the next day and buy another cute cuddly cub.

  • Are there other places like BCR? And if not, Maybe we need more if there is people like this.

  • @claradarling There are many places that claim to be rescues, yet breed and sell their cats and take them out in public etc..to make money we do not do this. We are the largest accredited sanctuary, more BCR's would be great but getting the laws changed and stopping this problem at the root is the most effective way of stopping this abuse, please visit Cat laws.com for more info :)

  • aww, poor animals!

  • this video makes me so sad. im glad there are places like BCR that help theses innocent animals. i know BCR can't house all of them. but this video shows that they don't ONLY house and save animals they also educate us on how NOT and how TO take care and take our part IN HELPING these innocent creatures! thanks BCR for sharing this heart breaking video! i hope one day there will be more of BCR around the world!

  • I know BCR can't rescue every cat that needs help, but to see this video...with those tigers, you can just see it clearly in their faces "Please help us!"...they look so sad and miserable. Since, sadly, a few of the cats at BCR have passed of old age recently, can't these guys use the freed-up enclosures?

  • I thought Big Cat Rescue was a organization that "Rescued Big Cats?" This video makes you seem more like stalkers than anything..i hope the owners gave you permission to walk on there land and film there animals, otherwise you may be looking at a lawsuit for trespassing if they ever come across this.

  • We are an organization that both rescues big cats and educates about their plight in the wild/captivity.

  • @BigCatRescue

so I am assuming you had the owners permission to be on their land and video taping right ?I mean you dont want to encourage people to trespass illegally I am sure

  • @shelonewolf Are you serious? You're replying to possible trespassing??You would be the same person who hits someone with their car and asks if the car is okay.ANY animal lover would do what it takes to save an animal.I'm sure if you got the local media involved and the local humane society involved those tigers would be out of their prison and somewhere that they could live out their lives with dignity. The Best Friends Animal Society in Utah would be the prime location. It's about 2,000 acres.

  • @shelonewolf So are we correct to assume that you care more about walking through an untended field and taping an obviously untended pen more than the video tape's subject's welfare? I'm sure you did notice the condition of the pen. Feces everywhere, filthy water, concrete prison. Let's be concerned with those poor owner's field. Oh, the tragedy! You sir, are a tool. Get your priorities straight.

  • @sinical10 shes got a point. how do we know there kept in the cages 24/7? an outdoor pen doesnt mean much. it would be fuckin terrible if they were kept like that all the time but we cant assume cause that makes an ass outta you and me :)

  • it's rare to see tigers in the wild but yet some people have them in their own backyard.

  • The video is titled !!!! Two Tigers - Unlocked Cage - In Backyard !!!! It does not state that BCR rescued or went to rescue them. The video is to show evidence of the insanity of the laws in some States.

Justice would be to remove the tigers, DON'T clean the cage or change the water in the bucket and make the owners live in it for 30 days straight.

My animals get fresh water every day it doesn't cost a penny and I'm not Paris Hilton.

  • It looks like you weren't trying to rescue big cats..What you've done was nothing but harassing em. These tigers weren't even abused at all..and would you know it better otherwise you'd already took em away from the owner. Although, tha cage wasnt most desirable status..what you need to realise is that not all pets live large like Paris Hilton's Chihuahuas.

  • We can't rescue every big cat that needs a home unfortunately, we haven't got the money or space and need to think about the 130+ cats that are already under our care. We were simply documenting these tigers stuck in horrible conditions, in my eyes a tiger that roams hundreds of square miles in the wild stuck in a small dirty cage is abuse in itself!

  • 2 casualties per year aint even close to nuff for banning big cats. If the safty of children is an issue, which I do not agree at all, you should protest dogs, not big cats..I really love dogs though, statistically speaking, dogs killed more people than any other beasts on the planet..( beside human being itself. :-)

  • What happened to these cats? Are they still prisoners in Missouri? Please say someone rescued them, even if it wasn't BAR!

  • I'm not sure to be honest, I'll try and find out, but there's so many cats like this in the country and only a few good sanctuaries that can provide homes, the outlook is never good :(

  • How will those rich men treat big cats when they are broke? Throw them away? Let them hungr to die?

They looks extremely boring, if is men in jail like that, they will be crazy and depressed.

If people cant treat animals well, then government should ban it, dont let people have big cats.

  • All very good points and very true, we are doing our best to make owning these cats illegal, they deserve better than this, please visit CatLaws*com for more info :)

  • I cannot believe this. This video made me cry.. I cannot believe that humans can be so cruel and stupid as to lock up two large, wild animals in this tiny cage, they barely have room to walk.

  • It is very sad and scary to think that in over half of the USA you can legally own a "pet" tiger/lion, the laws don't require that they have much room either :( You can help us solve this problem by visiting CatLaws*com :) THANKS!

  • why they dont keep em inside the house? i dont even let my domestic cat outside without me! poor creature hope you bring em to your place

  • Keeping a tiger inside the house would be very dangerous, it does happen though! Unfortunately we can't rescue every big cat we are notified about, we have to think about the 140 cats we already have to provide for. The thing that makes the most difference is trying to get the laws changed regarding private ownership of these cats. CatLaws*com

  • dont you have to have some kind of license to own sutch animals and if so dose somebody do regular checks to make shure the owner is properly caring for the animal

  • It varies so much from state to state, the crazy thing is that this IS legal in over half of the USA and there's many loop holes and way too many privately owned big cats compared to animal welfare officers.

  • You know, you would think that as much as tigers are ingrained in popular culture people would realize it aint gonna be a kitty for long. But you'd be wrong. On a parting note i wold like to add the following: Common Sense: So rare it's a superpower.

  • wow that really pisses me off, i cant understand why people do things like this, and if you were to confront the idiot who owns them i can hear him/her allready, theyre fine i feed them and give them water, sad , sad, sad theres a special place reserved for people like this in a not so special place!! peace to all.

  • It frustrates me so much to see people act like this, Can't they just be happy with a house cat?

  • Please you must save these tigers! Seeing these two tigers got locked inside this tiny cage, my heart just can't stop crying.

  • what human being, that is sane, would possibly want

to take a tiger, and raise it as a pet?!

and how the hell do they get one?!

    they buy them from Zoo's?

and even after they get one, it is probably not cheap

to provide it food, and other necessities for the tiger...

and another thing that others is, is that in the English language,

you call an animal "it", like some kind of item !

i rather calling them a he or a she, depending on the

gender, to my it seems nicer.

  • We wish everybody had the same view point as you! You can find exotic pet breeders online or at exotic pet shows etc... These animals will never make good "pets" like you said the cost is a factor, it costs us $7500 to feed a lion/tiger for a year, they can live to be 20+ years, spray, scratch, bite, don't want to be petted all the time and are very unpredictable and dangerous.

  • you said you've got about 130 cats there....

    130 * $7,500 = 975,000 almost a million dollars,

for such small amount of wildcats...

if the government would provide you extra million or two,

it would probably mean more cats, and more volunteers.

sadly, as you said, it's none of the government problem,

and would probably won't infest in this...program, if you will.

nevertheless, you guys are doing an amazing job !

and i hope it'll just get bigger and bigger !

im glad i found these videos.

  • Hi, it costs us $7500 for the big big cats 18 tigers 4 lions and liger, then the cost declines as the cast get smaller cougars/leopards cost us $2000 a year to feed for example. Our annual budget is 1 million dollars however! It would be nice to get government support but they are not native animals so we don't. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • im sorry, but what the hell does it matter if the cats

are native or not? seriously, not supporting an animal

because it was born on the wrong side of the border?

c'mon, i don't think it's an excuse for the government to

    escape infesting in this program.

by the way, if you don't mind me asking...

where does the million dollar budget comes from?

donors only? or... something else / additionally?

  • True, we hope the big cat problem in the USA is given more attention in the future as it is getting out of hand. Our budget is covered by public tour revenue, private donors and company sponsorship etc.. Thanks for your comments :)

  • you're welcome, im interested in those big cats,

    and i hope i didn't bother you.

i'd come there and volunteer, though there are 2 problems with that:

    1, im under-aged

2, im not even in the USA, i live in Asia, Israel to be exact.

so it's kinda out of reach from me.

  • They are two big problems! Hopefully you'll be able to visit the sanctuary sometime in the future, but the next best thing is to watch our videos i guess :)

  • ugh, disgusting, you guys s hould tranqulize them and just take them because no one else will

  • It looks like that trough the other tiger was in could be filled with water though.. But I agree, that is terrible.

  • that place looks filthy. were they taken out?

  • Oh look, they have a red rubber ball. THAT's stimulating entertainment for them in that barren enclosure. :\

I bet these hicks also feed them Iam's cat food or something.

  • It would be nice if we could force the owners to spend a week in the cage with their "pets". It's beyond me why anyone would want to take these beautiful creatures out of the wild. Everything in nature has checks & balances.Seems like humans are the only specie who screw it up.

  • How horrible. Wasn't that a concrete floor too? Was that just one small pan of water? Boredom doesn't begin to touch it. Too bad y'all couldn't sneak up at night, just off Hwy 73, and take them. Won't the people consider selling them to you. I live alone on disability but I would donate something to help that happen.

  • That's what we did when we first started in 1993, buy the cats form people, but soon realized this was fueling the trade instead of helping to stop it. There is so many cats out there who need a home,we can no longer afford to rescue each and every one we have over 130 cats to provide for...

  • which do u love n hate? Feline, kenine, rodent, bird or repteil?

  • I like most animals really, not a massive fan of rats though, way too may of them!

  • theres more than rats.theres hamsters,chipmuck,squirrels,heghogs emm...well...ps i 4got the rest of them =p hehe!

  • Someone needs to go let them out in the middle of the night! ;-)

  • Yeah, but then they'll get shot, but I'm not sure if I'd want to live 20+ years stuck in a tiny cage like that, miserable existence!

  • Is there any update on this case? Was law enforcement contacted?

  • The police can't do anything about it, it's legal to own big cats in this state!

  • Its not considered animal cruelty?

  • No, not if it's legal many states don't require a large enclosure for privately owned tigers/lions etc... the laws change from state to state, but animals are always on the bottom of the list.

  • Yeah really. The government works so hard to make sure that loads of money goes to frivolous projects. . meanwhile cats and other animals like this are suffering. . that's why we have to be their voice!

  • How did you get this video? you must have raid this place, and owner must be sleeping at this time. right?

  • Missouri isn't the only state in the country, you know.... there are more!

Anyways, this is a pretty interesting vid but I don't live in Missouri... so.... yeah.....

  • I wonder if they going to be rescued... It should be illegal to have big cats as pets

  • It should be illegal, you're right too many people have been attacked or lost loved ones/family members as a result of big cat attacks. We need to get the laws changed.

  • it should be allowed if the cats are cubs and need to be fosterd by a caring loving person not this shit... oh and in there own envroment not missouri

  • Those 2 are defiantly grumpy. I can almost sense it.

  • I personally think people are really dumb if they sell or buy wild animals as pets. It shouldn't ever happen. It's animal cruelty!

  • OMG This is horrible and so dangerous. The living conditions are unacceptable for the tigers and the community is in danger. I pray these georgous animals will be rescued and sent to a place to have a better life and I pray the tigers do not get out and harm anyone.

  • How cute tigers, but thats not the way to treat tigers or other animals. Little space and UNLOCKED CAGE!!?? I'll say the same, WAKE UP MISSOURI!

  • This is insane who would do this? Poor things.. and Id hate to be walking around that area and those be running loose. They look neglected.

  • Mind your own business? Isnt that what they did in Germany? 10 million slaughtered.

When it comes to abuse of people or animals or life on this planet- make it your business. It is your business.

  • well sayed man!

  • i feel bad.....

    :(

  • Mind your own business people. How many laws are you going to pass??? Move to Cali, that will make it all better. You can pass all the socialist laws you want. Believe me...I live here.

  • Anarchist.

Laws that protect people aren't socialist.

  • anyone who subjects animals to this is abhorent! and i will personally join to rlease them.. what pleasure do YOU the owners actually get....?? tell u what YOUlive in this cage and put the cats in ur house... u r irrisponsible cruel selfish and ass holes!

  • Wow, as a Missourian I hadn't even a clue this was going on!!!

  • Hi Xanubi, I live in Missouri too and found out how exotic animals are treated here a few months ago. Missourians need to know about this. Most do not know. Contact the media. Write Reps. Forward this page and info and ask to foward on. We need to help these animals.

  • WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION. Missouri Needs A Law Banning Private Ownership of Exotic Animals. Missouri is one of the worst states when it comes to protecting these animals, and protecting the public. Exotic animals are big business to some, at the cost of these animals- who live lives of misery for profit. Write representatives and contact the media. Thanks to BigCatRescue and people like itfelldown- we can do it! You can make a difference.

  • Dude those poor cats.

  • Please let your representives and the press know that you want laws enacted to stop this abuse! Endangered species should NOT be allowed to brought.sold, bred by private individuals!

    T

  • i want one too

  • WE NEED TO TAKE ACTION. Missouri Needs A Law Banning Private Ownership of Exotic Animals.

This bill was introduced 2007 but did not make the floor. It is suppose to be reintroduced this year. Missouri is one of the worst states when it comes to protecting these animals, and also protecting the public. Exotic animals are big business to some, at the cost of these living, feeling animals-living lives of misery for profit. Write representatives and contact the media.

    We need to take Action!

  • Wake up people!

When you witness shit like this report it to "Animal Control."

Hope the person who recorded this did just that for the good of the tigers and people in the surroundings!!!

    Think!!!!

  • Latd3mon-

Animal Control will not do anything in Missouri to help exotic animals. Or the MO Conservationist. And yes, the person who took the video cares about the tigers. We have to make a law in Missouri that prohibits private ownership. We need help to do this.

  • how did people come to own tigers in Missouri? Dont you have to have a license or something there? It's not like you can go to a pet shop and pick up a couple of freagin tigers.

  • It is actually legal in over half of the USA to own a big cat such as a tiger and they can be found easily on the internet to buy as pets, this is something we are trying to change, you can help by visiting our cat laws page on our website.

  • They seriously need to change the law in Missouri that is seriously inhumane, I feel so sorry for those Tigers it's no wonder they attack people I would too if I was given stagnant water and a small cage to live in with no entertainment. People are such 'effing idiots.

  • rescue them

  • obnoxiouscolors- your comments gave me a laugh, but they won't rescue the tigers. Good wildlife sanctuaries are often full, and the there is no law in Missouri that protects these tigers. We need help passing a law that

frees exotic animals from this fate. We need people like you to get involved.

  • A holes

What moron would have tigers in a small cage

    Can YOU SAY M O R O N

They should feed themselves to their tigers

    You Suck

  • People are complete ASSHOLES

Why would you put a Large cat in a small cage

Wake up !!! Smell your own piss

    Whoever is doing this should..

Go live in the cage with the tigers so they could eat something raw

  • nooo.. poor cats

  • Is anyone doing anything about these tigers?

  • what the tiger do in the small box. you are inhuman and you will stay in this cage

  • What happened to these tigers in the end?

Did they manage to get them out of these conditions?

  • Let 'em eat some kids. We're over populated !!!!!

  • I second that!!

  • Poor tigers!! People should not be allowed to own one unless they can live up to some captivity rules.. Like animals must have fresh food & water or, Most have lock on cage & must have inclosed space for animals to play

  • Thank god someone is trying to get the laws changed...these large cats deserve so much better then to be penned up like that...our laws toward animals really need to change! Thanks for all your work, BIG CAT RESCUE!!!

  • poor kitty's

  • I think a tiger needs more room to run around in. Also, they should have a cave or den where they can hide from people if they want to.

That's not enough room to run around in, and they look underfed.

  • its not fair to treat an animal like that just cuz we can do it poor animals if anyone does this and i find out i will fucking throw them in a cage like there tigers and never give em food

  • i hope the so called 'owners' get tortured for this!!

  • dont feed the tigers for 10days lol bad cats

  • While I was in Philadelphia for the holiday, I read a report of a bobcat that was creeping around a farm and eating chickens.

When the owner called Wildlife Control, they told him he has the right to shoot the cat, which he did.

Why didn't Wildlife Control come get the cat? Why did they tell they guy to end the animal's life just for doing what's within its nature?

I think that advice was very cruel, and it makes me angry.

Is there anything I can do to prevent other bobcats from being killed?

  • This is truly a disgusting situation! Surely the persons harboring the cats are in the circus/show business. Why else would they keep such animals, except to exploit them for money.

Good people of Missouri, speak out against this injustice!

  • I hate people. I swear to god it is guys like you all at BCR that give me just a tiny bit of faith in this shithole world. I am a huge animal lover and to see this kind of stuff just ruins my day. Just leave it up to people to take a big ol shit on everything that is pure. Never stop the fight guys, keep doing the great work that you do - PLEASE!

  • I agree with dobbins2550 this is disgusting. Can not someone come to the rescue of these 2 tigers. Surely it is not legal in a country like America to keep them in this state.

  • People ARE fucking stupid and that will NEVER END sorry ...

  • r they rescued by now?

  • AGGHH my gosh this makes me mad... locked up all day i cant ingmaine how they feel... BigCatRescue u should convince the owner to let the tigers in the sancurary..

    well wright back

  • Hi, thanks for watching, Big Cat Rescue as been trying to get the laws changed regarding ownership of these cats for years and we will continue to do so until we succeed. Unfortunately despite the numerous attacks and deaths contributed to having these guys as pets each year, the progress is very slow.

  • If it's up to me, I'll lock the owners up in that cage for 6 months, then feed them to the tigers. Meanwhile, the tigers can live in the owners' house. I'm not sure the tigers would like it (house and "long-pork") though.

  • I agree also with vincecharus comments.

  • some people...

  • as much as i think it would be cool to have a pet tiger, i find this wrong... i know it would be sweet to have a trained, healthy tiger as a pet, but i know its also wrong and inhumane! words just cant really describe how bad that is, theres too many of them!

  • Alex142502 it would be great while they are small but it is illogical to expect these cats to live like humans. They would be unpredictable like BOY from Born Free he was shot bcause he attacked a human.

  • Lock the people up like that see how they like it.

  • this is so unbelievably cruel.

  • Let me just say that I fully support exotic ownership with responsible owners. This "enclosure" is hardly even suitable as a temporary holding area while their main enclosure is being cleaned. It looks almost like a baseball dugout. Wow. There is no vital fight left in those poor animals.

Perhaps instead of locking all people out from ownership, BigCatRescue should report these idiot owners and help nourish the tigers to be placed in the hands of a sanctuary or other responsible owner.

  • ghughghugh, thanks for your comment, Big Cat Rescue works constantly towards getting the laws changed to stop ANY member of the public from owning a large exotic cat as a pet. These cats unlike their domestic relatives would roam hundreds of square miles of territory, once they reach sexual maturity they become very unpredictable, don't want to be petted not to mention they spray mark their territory and pound for pound they are 12 times stronger than humans. Big cats never make good pets.

  • What is wrong with people?

    Are they stupid? Yes.

Are they gonna kill thoses tigers? Yes.

    What IS wrong with people!?

I mean yeah a dog is a house pet but tigers?

    What the freak!?

Keeping rare animals locked up in such such small cages.

I mean get a life instead of toruching animals!

  • if only i lived in Missouri

DANG! What kind of sick twisted poacher would do such a thing? Oh wait I JUST ANSWERED MY QUESTION!

All things have soles, and they deserve happiness, especially animals, especially RARE animals!

  • no wonder we dont get to see tigers in the wild because people like that are housing them up in dreadful conditions!

  • So, has anybody reported this? Or, just observed it...

  • Oh my. Such grand creatures living like that. It is heart breaking. I had no idea the US was open about having wild animals such as tigers as pets. A bit stupid, I would say. Unless one is fully educated on the care and needs and can perform the attention, medical and services they need, it is sad to think anyone can just take one and cage it like this...and with no locks??? The poor child attacked and the poor tigers for their lives. Negligence. Complete negligence.

  • Oh this is sad, I love these big cats and being held in that cage is just grotesque. I'm from Denmark and here, not even veterinarians can keep exotic or endangered species private or as pets, you'll need to be educated as a zoo keeper and after that you'll need to prove to the government that you have the proper facility to keep them and if you do get approved, you can expect very tight control not just for the animals safety but also for public safety. Noone has yet been approved.

  • KimJespersn, thanks for commenting I wish the same regulations were enforced in the U.S, It's far too easy to get a licence and have a tiger or any big cat living in your back garden/garage/basement.

• These tigers should not live like this they should be in open areas fresh clean water long grass and a properly made enclosure with hay and bedding for them its not fair the owner want marching ten paces and a shot to the back of the head i just hope the future for these big cats is a god one big cat rescue wave your magic wound. Mr Bennett Yorkshire England

  • Do you know what country has the biggest number of tigers? You'd probably say India or Cambodgia. But, as the matter of fact, its USA!!! Yeah, USA!

  • Yep, there is definitely something wrong when there is more captive tigers living in the U.S.A than there are in the wild, we are trying to put an end to this problem. If you would like to help or find out more visit our website and look under "catlaws", thanks for watching!

  • wow those tigers aare so beautiful, but no matter what, tigers arnt ment to be in a small space like that. and lets not ferget the innocent people involved. INNOCEENT LIVES COULD EB LOST!!! this is horrifying. theses tiger and people sertantly dont diserve this. help missiouri. help the tigers.

  • so sad , i don't get why people think they can contain these kind of exotic cats.

  • I thought that there were international laws making it illegal to own any endangered animal without a special handlers license...maybe I was wrong? Animal cruelty, at least. You said stagnant water, smells like poo and pee, no outside enclosure, building is unlocked and in disrepair...there are probably a dozen charges that could be pressed against that owner. Has local law enforcement seen this?

  • You can legally own a tiger or any other big cat in over half of the united states, rules vary from state to state but it is scarily easy to buy a tiger and put it in your backyard or garage. This is a huge problem and the government needs to wake up to this fact before more and more people are injured or killed because people have big cats as pets! Thanks for watching and comenting.

  • It shouldn't be easy to own a dangerous exotic pet, anywhere. Thank you for clearing that up for me, I had no idea.

  • Missouri? What about the people who saw this? Where is the justice? Animals should only be kept by those with specialised licences for breeding purposes in large zoos or as is the case here in Australia.. where the 'big cats' have acres and acres to run... How Sad/Disgraceful/Disgusting/Nauseating and Infuriating.. in this day and age?????

  • We totally agree with you, Big Cat Rescue is working towards getting the laws changed regarding owning a tiger or any big cat as a "pet" in the United States. If you would like to help visit our website and search under Cat laws, thanks for watching!

  • the only reason the tigers are probaly trying to escape is becuse they want out of thats small little place they are wild animals and they deserve to roam free and live their lives the way they were supposed to be lived in the wild and not held captive and espescailly not near anywhere were there is a lot of people

  • Did you breach the owner's property?

  • Dominub, The barn those poor tigers are in is only a few feet from neighboring property. A small lense & a good zooming microphone was all that was needed. The larger zoom lense was not even needed. The smell traveled easily over to where we stood. A tree, not on the tiger's owner's property made for an easy filming perch to see all that was needed to be seen to document that awful cage. The point is the cats are inside only, dirty water, smelly cage, and NO LOCK on the door.

  • Yea i get it, i'm just saying be careful that you don't get sued, cause at 1:39 it looks like you're not zooming.

Can't agree with you enough though that the conditions are worse than shitty

  • cant the tigers escape? theres a good sized hole in the roof and i think a tiger paws claws and fangs are strong enough to tear a hole in the cage.

  • BeNGALi4LFE, yes there's a good possibility that these tigers could escape, then innocent people are thrown into the mix and the usual out come is a dead tiger and maybe injured people. We are trying to get the laws changed regarding ownership of these big cats in the United States, thanks for watching.

  • *sigh* when are people going to learn wild animals are not pets..

  • people like this make me sick...

  • PillMaster2, I am with you, it is so frustrating to see people not respect the needs of the cats or the safety of the public. A St. Louis news station went there and interviewed the owner and the tiger grabbed the reporter during the interview and the owner's remark about showed he thought it was funny and completely did not 'get it' as to how dangerous it was. I think their view story & video is still on their website.

  • I know! That is abuse I guess, but it's better than the circus, or if they were dogs in puppy mills....

  • question... isn't there a size limit for the cage and such that you can call the SPCA to take them away and find better places for them? if conditions are that bad it can be considered abuse right?

  • BCR, Did you actually do anything about it? Like take the owner to court or take away the cats??? I hope that laws really change there because imagine living in a small cage, bored to death and it stinks and there is no fresh food and water. In which world are we living in??? please do something about in BCR!!! :)

  • Shanimanu, unless the owners are willing to relinquish the cats there isn't a whole lot anyone can do. We are making phone calls daily to try to help these cats.

  • Shanimanu;I agree with you;I cannot understand why this is legal.(those poor animals have to exist like this?Where are

the laws to protect these animals;the owners should never be

    allowed to have animals..incredible cruelty.

  • oh god damn no lock. we need a security code those tigers are smart

  • Creazat, and since there are no laws regarding these animlas in Missouri then even the law enforcement's hands are tied. Contact Missouri TV stations and law makers to let them know how you feel about this situation.

  • This is realy ridiculese, Is Missouri the only state that allows having tigers as pets???

Thank you for this importend video,

i just don't understand why people even concider having a tiger in there backyard.

  • NaturesBeatingHearts, I dont't understand it either. If you go to CatLaws*com you can check what the laws are in each state. Some states are getting new laws regarding these animals. It is a hope that Missouri will, too.

  • I dont know Big Cat Rescue financial situation, but is there any chance you guys could offer to take care of shipping and housing of these animals free of charge? Perhaps start a quick fund raiser to fund some of it.

  • nls8520, we have to be careful not to take in more cats than we can properly care for. with the enconomy getting tighter we have to anticipate things getting even tighter caring for the cats we already have. Right now we have to just wait and see what the owners decide.

  • How sad is this!!! What is with some people. Have they no compassion or respect? Seeing the conditions in which those beautiful animals are kept is appalling. I have tears.

  • Dorotwhy, I agree.

  • If we report this will the tigers euthanized?

  • VaevictisIV, hopefully a good facility could be found to take them. It takes funds, though.

  • This is sooo sad. It breaks my heart. I'd like to find those people who have these animals and stuff them in a cage for the rest of their lives!

  • SpyGirl43, good sentiment, however, not something that can be done. We have to fight such things by raising the public's awareness of such things, changing laws not by breaking laws.

  • Well a jail cell is just as good as a cage and would be just fine with me if we stuck them in one.

  • SpyGirl43, I had to chuckle at your comment. Nice sentiment, but impossible to accomplish. We can close our eyes and pretend for a moment though. (SMILE).

  • Excuse for my ignorance but how could they get tigers? Are they licensed as a game farm? In Canada, I believe, no one is allowed such animals without going through the proper channels and having the right kind of setup. I think what those folks are doing is just so cruel to the tigers and stupid to their ignorance of what could happen or perhaps they just don't care. The laws should definitely be changed and they should have to pay a hefty fine and be banned from owning any animals!!
