i went to school with danny in shreveport. we were friends and used to party and have fun. his dad was a mean sorry bastard. danny never made me think that he was crazy. i have no idea what made him flip out. he was always funny and cheerful when he was with me, but i knew he had big problems at home. i hadnt seen him for years, and my brother told me that he flipped and murdered a lot of people. i agree that he needed to be executed, because life is a precious thing and it is not right to kill.

To me what defines us as humas is the ability to feel love, remorse and those other emotions that thins "things" lack. Therefore, to me, sociopaths, namely serial killers are not human. In my opinion, true human beings do not do these things.

There is evidence that shows there are different levels of sociopathic personalities. It's not that they feel no remorse ever, but it is dimmed and there are select instances where they might. Some serial killers have exhibited moments in their killing history where they have experienced these feelings and altered their decisions. You can't say a person isn't human because they process emotions differently. Some autistic people have difficulty with empathy as well, but they have other qualities.

I have a friend who's a sociopath, too. I don't trust him at all, but I think he's comfortable with it and in some way I feel okay knowing I can see through him. I'm aware that he may be lying, or that his relationships will be destructive, which is really saddening. He's more interested in power and manipulation rather than murder, but, who knows. But, he's had problems with depression, he has aspirations, he has conflicts and social needs like all human beings.
