Ive played this game and i still play sometimes,this game is prrty damn good though but some ppl like to ask ''why dont they make a more advanced version of this game?'' to have this game with more gore, better graphics, and be on the top consoles (and i wouldent mind them making executing in a 1 on 1 fight more easy to do and more awsome to watch:) ) would be amazing but sorry to say thats not the case, But who knows, maybe in the future they'll think about

Kick his ass until his health bar is red, then let him kill you. If you lose to quickly, it looks like you threw the fight and the crowd will order your death because you didn't impress them, If you beat him he orders his guards to kill you. So just beat him up until his health is almost gone, then let him kill you.

USE CRAPPY EQUIPMENT TO FIGHT HIM !!!!

Because when you lose, you lose your equipment.

they should make a new game for this, on xbox ps3 and pc, and include things from games like Spartan: Total Warrior, Shadow of Rome, Colosseum road to freedom, Assassins Creed, WoW, Mount and Blade, should be free flowing Realistic moves like Spartacus blood and sand /gods of the arena, should be able to fully customize your fighting style armor weapons character looks, and should get scars and bruises that become permanent on your character as he progresses, and be able to dismember/decapitate.

@XxdiggygoglolxX If you pay off the debt first, you choose to either retire, which ends the game, or continue fighting as a free gladiator. The latter option also answers your 2nd question, because when you fight as a free gladiator, you get ALL the money earned from matches instead of most of it going to Magerius, your owner. I'd recommend the second option since you make A TON of money from it, and you have the option to buy slaves when you're free. Female ones too ;D

OMG, does anybody know that other roman game for ps2, i cannot remember its name and im desperately wanting to buy it because i remember it being so good. I remember you could cut the limbs of your enemys in the arena and use them as weapons and there were missions in between where you would be a spy and had to move around stealthily to spy on the senates. I think the last mission might of been where you were fighting tigers and other animals in the cage

jag har spelat igenom det här spelet några gånger och jag måste säga att det är otroligt underskattat. Det ser riktigt bra ut, flyter bra, storyn är helt ok och det är väldigt mycket frihet att välja vapen, skills, etc etc. Jag kan säga att det är ett av mina favoritspel, åtminstone till ps2!

Enda nackdelen med det, enligt mig, är att man inte kan spela flera förrän man spelat igenom spelet. I övrigt är spelet riktigt roligt och bra gjort.

This game will not be coming out on the PSP.. Ever. Koei abandoned any further release after the remix of this game(JAP or modded US ps2 only). As far as Shadow of Rome being better. Maybe in storyline but not in game play. If you can give this game a chance and get used to it. It's well worth it. It's not just hack, smash and slash like Shadow of Rome.

Its not still, just the guy whose playin is a slave not a gladiator , limited moves. You can aquire combos, and depending on ur style u can go with, sword and shield, duel swords, hammer and big shield, etc

@killermoens play as many events as you can. i know that some of them suck, but my first playthrough i made the mistake of only playing the events i wanted, and it took me forever to level up. then i went through again and played every event and leveled up so fast
