@FunnyAccent1 I've got both those cameras and I can tell you that the HX9V is nothing short of astonishing, as you can see in my sample videos.
Quite honestly, I'm not sure where Sony go to improve on the HX9V, so their next iteration of this camera will have to be something truly spectacular to make any real impression.
@mygoodstuffreviewed The only thing I would not like on the Hx9v is the build-in battery. If you run down the battery and want to film something right away, what do you do? With the Hx5v I just pop in another fully recharged battery (got 3 of them ready), and go. I love the quality of the hx9v but the battery issue would bother me... Greetings to you & my friend butterkeks52 who enabled us to meet here;-)
@FunnyAccent1 The HX9V uses exactly the same battery as the HX5V. The charger needs USB, so that's not quite as convenient, but the battery is exactly the same.
@mygoodstuffreviewed Yes, I mixed it up. What I meant was where do you get a USB connection from when you are 50 miles out in the woods and have no access to a computer?
@FunnyAccent1 Well, if you really want to you can get a cheap car cigarrette lighter adapter that will then power your USB and charge the battery. Be a bit slow, I guess, but it would do the job. That or take a few spares with you. Battery life seems pretty good on the HX9V, but you can never beat having spares, can you :)
Yes, the HX9V has a better Video Quality

So far, so good. Would there be any difference in quality if you had shot this video with the Hx5v?
