i know who they are but what i want to know is, why are terra of the left and acqua of the back also in the trailer? They're not even in season 2, except for acqua of the back a little and terra's voice, but still

They initially intended to finish it with Volume 14, however decided not to. It's kind of a better place to end since GROUP formed at the end of Season 2/S.S volume 1. Volume 14 and 15 both have GROUP involvement, especially Volume 15.

Those are Terra of the left and Acqua of the back, members of God's Right Seat, the elite orginization of the Catholic church that Vento is part of. Acqua(the guy with the big mace) actually appeared in episode 23 of season 2 to pick up Vento after she failed in her invasion of Academy city. Acqua also talks to Terra (the whip guy) on the phone in that episode as well. These guys will be much more prominent in season 3 (if there ever will be one).

On another video's description of this same trailer posted by japanese user (the info was translated to english but with bad grammar and mixed with kana) it said that this season will go up to the 15th volume of the light novel, which seems possible if you consider terra and acqua's appearance in this pv and the fact that the 15th volume is vol. 14 due to SS1 between it and the 13th (acqua would be a cameo) but by the looks of it, 24 episodes won't be enough, at least they decide to do more...

@iBeFloe Well, we saw Misaka a bit more so far (and we met her mom).

We also saw a bit more of Kuroko, but not much. I don't know how much they plan on bringing them in the plot, considering Index is about magic, not Espers ( that doesn't necessarily mean anything though).

Basically, I don't know for sure so we'll just have to wait and see :3

@lHlydra Accelerator got shot in the head once and barely managed to stop the bullet before reaching his brain. The result was him losing a part of his powers, but he is using the misaka network to use his ability. I suspect him still being in revalidation.

@lHlydra Near the end of the first season, he got shot, but he was barely able to avoid fatal damage (watch the first season if you wanna know why >.>; )

Anyway, it still did some damage, he lost his "calculation ability" (to calculate vectors, which is at the base of his power), but he's using the MISAKA network to do the calculations for him, which is why chibi-Misaka is still with him. :3
