Did everyone know that the actress (Sissy Spacek) that played the white mom also played in the 1970ish cult classic horror movie named CARRIE!!! It was a pretty good movie to me.

@saywhat248 FYI, most every race of people has been a slave or been harsh/cruel to others at some point. ALL humanity--no matter the nationality or race, religion or not, has had losers to mess it up for others. It's low to single out America. Think about all the fighting that has gone on in Sudan, think of how the Romans treated ANYONE of any colour that wasn't a Roman citizen by birth or by buying it. Think of how the bloodbath in France went during the revolution.

I love this movie. I remember when it first came out and the entire cast was saying how much fun they had working with Whoopi Goldberg. She really does seem like a fun person. And on the view, she's very intelligent and witty. I like that about a person.

@roQQin96 She was! I've always liked her. She's in the movie "The Help" that's out now. I saw it, it was great! I loved her character in this movie. Marion wasn't in denial about anything, and she knew right from wrong and stood up for herself and others and wasn't afraid to do it. The idea in that day, she had a WHITE police officer bring his ignorant ass out there and apologize to Odessa, talk about guts.
