  • Very, very cool!

  • Wow!

  • Nice!

  • Legend- freaking -dary

That is a lot of work but seriously, it was worth it!

  • HOW!!!! O.o

  • Awesom animation!

  • purely awesome.

  • How do you move the camera with it and make it an AVI video or anything?

  • But will blender blend stuff? XD

  • @the747videoer Depends if you create a Blender in Blender to Blend items like a Blender, Blenders are Awsome, Not those type of Blenders, the other Blender...

  • Believe me or not I made that in real life

  • @San3840 hahaha awesome :)

  • Awesome!

  • wow thats cool

  • Holy crap I love this

  • Wooooow :D

  • Is blender free?

  • @emacdaddyfunk Of course. get it at blender.org

  • OOOOH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

My compliments, dude, this is AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOOOOOOOMEEE!

    Really hard to do! *__________________________*

  • @InivisiHacker Like I said in the description I was very new to Blender when I made this, also I'm not much of an artist, or rather my art stems from logic more than creativity. Thanks very much for your feedback :)

  • few questions

    1. where do i get blender,

    2. how much is it

    3. if it costs money, is there a free software that dose the same thing

    thanks

  • @volvoxc90geek

    1. blender . org

    2. $0

    3. n/a

    :)

  • @van01010100 thanks!

    love the vids!

  • Very, very nice!

  • Freaky... Just EPIIIIC :D

If you just think it are some dominoes :D NOES :p

  • ONE OF THE BEST IVE SEEN SO FAR

  • I am new to blender, and everything at the beginning looked like stuff I could do. But once it showed the logo I was amazed, HOW!

  • ooooooh, that's very funny!! please, look at my blenders animations in TheSergioGalle1 canal

  • génial

  • holy shizzle that was cool

  • That's just awesome. I'm a beginner with Blender, and I hope to reach your level. XP

  • awesome!!!!!......who wants to set it back up this time? :(

  • hello everyone me and my friend are creating a free website that will render your animations we have a facebook and twitter search OpenRender on facebook and openrender on twitter to stay posted please check us out we are putting a lot of work into our servers

  • Clever.

  • The camera angles make it look unrealistic.

  • lol

  • I take a class called honor education and they teach how to use blender. making a GAME.

  • that was a great animation .

  • @ Overlord9344 I just watched videos on youtube on how to use blender and am making my own dominoes vid now :) super3boy has a bunch of good videos but most of them aren't in 2.56 like i'd like but whatever :P

  • love it!

  • i know nothing about animating or anything like this. would this be a good free program to self-teach myself? i only intend this to be a hobby so it doesn't bother me if i'm no good at it. if this isn't the best free program to self-teach, can you please tell me one? i'm using a desktop with 4 gigs of ram and windows 7 64bit.

  • @Overlord9344

Look at youtube vids and this program would be a great self teacher, just make sure you tell me when you upload the videos to yourube so I can see them, I have practically the same computer type as u only I have 32-bit...

  • this is a great animation must have taken along time to render

  • flawless and amazing i just wish i had enough time to make all the key frames and time to render im doing this on my laptop i render overnight alot

  • Buddy i am totally nile to this software "Blender" but some one guided me to use it for 2d Animation.... !!! i mean is this the best software for 2d animation even if we look at it from 3d perspective there is mAya i mean this is not in any way better then maya plz give me a some details. Thnxk

  • @imranbug81 What in the nile are you trying to say? First you say this is the best software, then you say it is not in any way better than Maya?

  • @BnBGobo i am trying to say that i have no idea what is this software capable of ....

but some one told me that this is a good software for 2D animation but here i see its a 3D software.....

But there are already lots of 3D software in market which are ruling like Maya, so i am confuse about Blender.... !

  • @imranbug81 It is open source..."free"...that is one of the greatest advantages of Blender and it also can do 90% of what 3DS and other softwares can do...did I mention that it is free?

  • @Rihflex free is not a big issue for me as i have access to torrent :D where every thing is free

  • oh but i do have to pay for the internet ... :-(

  • how long did that take to render

  • Awesome. I wasn't expecting that ending. I'm quite new to the whole Blender Physics Engine.

  • WOW fantastic !

  • Nice

  • That requires alot of skills:D Awesome animation

  • uuu, fantástico impresionante... buen trabajo :D

  • simply beautiful

  • This is enough to get anyone to download blender.

  • I loved the camera movement.

  • @Tikvanaya tttttttttttt

  • Awesomeness....I have blender, but I really don't know it that well.

  • nice, but i didnt like the camera work

  • Good work man! I want to learn to deal with blender.

    Wich someday to get there.

  • I have been using blender for a little while now, and I love using the physics engine, but I can never get the physics animation I want because it won't let me go past 250 frames! Can you please tell me how to make an animation longer than 250 frames? Also please check out my Physics animations and give me some advice. Thanks, and happy blending!

  • how did you animated the camera all with keyframes?

  • Great job! I'm near the beginning of my learning curve in blender and I aspire to doing something like this. One day...

  • I Love the style of rendering here! And the camera work is also great!

  • im 12 and im learning blender..its kinda hard and confusing ..

  • Dude that is f***ing awesome!!!

  • Very well done , i'm just starting to learn blender myself and seeing that you can do this level of work is exciting. How did you learn and do you have any tips?

  • @Xano360 I learned by becoming obsessed with it for a few months. I think I was inspired by the fact that you can basically 'play God' with physics. I don't do anything big with Blender anymore but looking back at my Blender videos I have to admit I'm surprised I was able to get as far as I did. It's definitely not easy and it definitely takes a lot of patience/memory. It helps to be good with computers. My only real tip is that you can do anything you put your mind to if you have enough energy.

  • @Xano360: If you get blender it has its own Manual... also I'm learning right now using WikiBooks: "Blender 3d Noob to Pro"... like van01010100 said it takes a lot of patience... One tip from a noob is Take notes, I decided to have my own notebook for this. it is not an easy software as Anim8or but Blender has more potential and I think is worth the time you spend learning

  • AHAHAHA!!!!! LOVE THE ENDING

  • nice

  • So awesome! I'm just starting with blender but I'm liking it!

  • Fantastic. Good choice for the music as well. Very Awesome.

  • i was gonna make something like it. that was great

  • Very cool. Reminds me of Super Mario 64, too...

  • its a chain reaction

  • @cowman850

A chain reaction is molicles of a bomb exploding one by one in milliseconds, moron.

  • @patty397

    From Merriam-Webster

    "Main Entry: chain reaction

    Function: noun

    Date: circa 1902

1 a : a series of events so related to each other that each one initiates the next b : a number of events triggered by the same initial event

2 : a self-sustaining chemical or nuclear reaction yielding energy or products that cause further reactions of the same kind

    — chain–re·act \ˈchān-rē-ˈakt\ intransitive verb"

Therefore his use of the word is correct.

  • tHat iZ Awsome xD

  • great

  • Damn this is dope as hell bro, much props!!!

  • loved the ending, very clever :)

  • nice ending. was worth the watch

  • EPIC! now who wants to do this irl?

  • i had no idea :o

  • nice lol

  • wow...40 hours that would be 3 days

    and...

    AWESOMEST THING EVER!!

  • The physics engine has since got a little better at keeping low memory usage, but yeah, it probably would have been easier to just animate each object by hand.

  • Great!! Awesome ending!

  • To everyone: I really appreciate all the great comments!! :)

  • @van01010100 dude this is the shit man!

  • lol the ending got me, in the beginning I was like meh, nothin special, still meh... OH SHIT!!!!

  • AWSOME THE BLENDER LOGO THAT WAS FUCKING AWSOME

  • Very very nice man.

  • increible

  • Ha! I knew it would end with the logo! Great job!

  • Wd ^^ did you bake the colision or did you use latices to fake the collision?

  • nice! AWSOMENESS!

  • Good taste for music!

  • sry for the spam

  • Great animation it was very well made and its dominoes were very stable until u wanted them to fall, but i have a question, how do u make 2 dominoes knock over 3 dominoes?i tried it but the dominoes keep falling to the side............. Oh yeah the ending was great for a fine animation like this, its the best domino animation made with blender i have came over so far.

  • nice ending dude i never would of thought of that for an ending

  • Hey man nice ending...i could never figure blender out...

  • Amazing!

  • omg pure amazing epic at the end

  • Very nice, good idea for the ending.

  • all i can say is:

    PURLY AWSOME

  • That was INCREDIBLE. Man, you sure worked to get it running, too.

  • How did you film the dominoes falling or did you set every domino falling each time in a matter of frames

  • WHOA! That's AWESOME!!!!

    Great ending by the way!

I tried to simulate dominoes once with blender, but they kept wobbling and then falling over before they were supposed to! How did you get them to stay put until they were actually knocked over?

  • Thanks for the kind words!

About the wobbling, I haven't done any blender physics for a long time now so I don't recall the specifics, but you might try moving the dominoes upwards a tiny bit so they fall slightly onto the plane when the simulation starts. If that doesn't work I'd try playing around with the mass or material properties.

  • EPICNESS!!! i hope they make that a word. :D good job!!!

  • Astonishing results! The work you put in is amazing too. Don't you just love the way blender won't tell you when you've overstepped the mark with memory? All's well, everything set up and then bzzzt...shutdown! Gets to the point where you nearly give yourself an aneuyrism...

  • That was really quite cool. The camera angles really needed some help. This would be a better animation if the angles weren't so jerky. But I really like it! *Thumbs up*

  • dude that ending part was so cool

  • Ending was awesome

  • cool!

  • Epic win.. Can't say anything more.

  • Agreed.

  • Re-Agreed.

    *gives thumbs up*

  • fucking effective :)

  • Lol nice, i like the way it made the logo at the end.

    Blender rocks

  • wow thats great, i just downloaded blender and came across this.

  • Thanks :)
