  • I think it was recorded around the same time as the Vernon Dalhart version 1924? and before the Skillet Lickers version 1926?

    Recorded in 1932 with Clayton McMichen, fiddle; Oddie McWinders, banjo; Slim Bryant, vocal/guitar.

    Released on Crown 3384, Homestead 23090 and Varsity 5029.

  • I love this version. I go for authentic, not reproductions. This is vintage, and really enjoyed this version. Never heard of him, but sure will take note and look for more of his music. THANKS for posting this one!
