It's an s50b32 which is the european model e36 M motor. S50&S52 are US spec, s50=obd1, 1995 only S52=obd2 '96-'98? comes with 290hp.

I want to swap a e30 with an s50b32, I will have to get a motor from europe because we didnt get s50b32 in america. We got screwed, our e36 m3 wasnt even a real S motor, just a 3.0 and 3.2 m50. I bet a stock s50b32 with 321 horsepower in a 2700lb e30 would have to be crazy fun. From that you could easily get more power or take out more weight. I dont need door panels or back seats. 2500lbs and 400 horsepower would make me jizz in my pants.
