  • Love your work! So refreshing to see an artist share their works in progress and the thought process behind it as well as sharing your tips and tricks! Thanks!

  • @TootieU Many thanks...and you're welcome...glad you enjoy !!

  • I love to watch you make your assemblages and appreciate that you take the time to make these videos. I have lots of ideas now on how to use my cigar boxes. Thanks, Greg, see you on LMM, Kathie Vezzani

  • @tspeppers Kathie, I'm eager to see some of you cigar box projects...hope you'll post the photos online !!

  • from one assemblage artist to another.....how do you organize your vintage papers? i'm going through my studio and trying to make things easier to find but i'm not sure how to organize my paper. right now i cut what i want out of books and keep it all in a clear plastic container. kind of a pain to go through it all when your looking for that picture of a butterfly you remember cutting out a while back. any tips would be appreciated:) btw, i love your work!

  • @calgalhg I hate to admit it, but I don't really have a very good plan for organizing "papers," etc. I keep favorites in plastic tubs and boxes....I pull them out for projects, grabbing at this and that, but eventually I find that I have to go back and do a total reorganization of everything and start from fresh. It's kinda' good to do that because I rediscover stuff that I had completely forgotten about. It's basically the same thing for the "objects" that I use in my boxes.

  • @LisaPatencio Lisa, sometimes I do...I have a small rotary sander (using sandpaper) that does an easy grinding/smoothing if I have some raw/ragged edges that are going to be exposed, but for the most part, it's not a concern...I just glue the glass in place.

  • just love your work. what kind of adhesive do you use for the papers. they always looks so smooth. i think i might have asked this once before.

one more question. what kind of glue do you use on the bottles

  • @oceanpoet1 Thanks! I use Yes Paste to glue down most of my papers (plastic surfaces don't work well for this glue, however). I use clear silicone, the stuff that comes in the caulking tubes at hardware stores, to glue down the bottles and most all all objects.

  • Greg.. Your thoughts, ideas and work blows me away. Great to see your art is in NYC now. Fantastic!!

  • @judysheart Thank you so much, Judy!!

  • So glad to see a new video.

  • Ok Greg, you would have to work really hard to create something that I did not love.

Quirky I would say ...to me that means beautiful. I am still working on ideas for my first assembledges....and have encountered the depth issue. Thanks for the tips.

  • @ppaisley Many thanks....yes, I tend to go toward the quirky with most (all) of my work!

  • I adore you!!! thanx for the ideas!!!

  • @cosmicku Many thanks!!

  • Love your vids. Awesome work.

  • These pieces are so wonderful! I look forward to each new video. Your creativity is inspiring.

  • I love to see what you are working on ! When you are designing a piece do you divide the box and then find something to fit in or do you generally have an idea what you'll be putting in and then put in the separators? It's always intriguing to see how the pieces evolve as you are working. You are a great inspiration. You find the neatest stuff to use.

  • @CAP953 I guess I do both, but I tend to do a bit more planning for those spaces ahead of time since I have to cut wooden dividers, etc. and make everything fit.

  • I love your work.

  • Always fabulous work, and very inspirational. Amazing. Keep it the good work.

  • @damncranky666 Many thanks!

  • I have pictures of where those ships went from in Rotterdam, it was called Hotel America, its still there, it was cool to see you have a sticker like that..

  • @juriaan13 I was able to fix the back with hanging hardware without covering up that old sticker.

  • The fact that you allow people like me to rummage through your thought process is incredibly generous. Your work is inspirational and chic at the same time. Thanks for sharing your art!!!

  • @prettypoetry Kinda' like letting you into my head!! Glad you enjoy...thanks!

  • i love that talc bottle too, i must go and have a hunt around in my own 2nd hand shops and recycling stores.

  • @krissytehpink Good luck...nice rusty containers like this are difficult to find sometimes.
