This actually gives me an idea for a spoof, for the purpose of introducing me as an artist (Penciller/inker/colourist) currently trying to get my comic book universe (All Canadian, since I'm from Canada/British Columbia) off the ground & getting my first series published. It's in the works, but once you see it, you'll be quite amazed.
The infamous Dale Keown who's artwork is so fantastic and I really was a voracious fan of 'Pitt' but this guy's unprofessional work ethic *no excuses unless a death of a loved one* you'd get a comic and then wait, literally, almost 8 months before the next one got underway. As fantastic as his artwork may be, I don't check out his artwork or whatever he's doing. I don't care anymore what he does. Now, that's infamy.

Look out. The Liefeld "haters" are out in full force again. And I use quotes around haters, because you're obviously infatuated with the man, otherwise you wouldnt TALK ABOUT HIM everywhere you go.
Maybe the fact he hasn't been formally trained is why he sucks? I laugh at people who are proud at being " self-trained" What can you possibly teach yourself? I think I will teach myself physics today lol
Jogonpants-How can you compare comics to physics?! Two different things. Dumb statement man. People who have balls pick themselves up by the bootstraps and do things their own way instead of sitting in front of a chalkboard.
Of course he has never had any former art training that would involve things like knowing what human anatomy looks like, hard work, and the ability to meet deadlines. Fuuuuuck that!
oh man what a surprise, he actually did not have any formal art training, no kidding, if he actually did i would find his art professor and slap the crap out of him for passing this no talent flavor of the month, try learning how to draw opened hands instead of having closed fists all the time, you suck

I think steranko and the buscema bros. didnt have training either, i think! Liefeld is not a bad artist, but sometimes i think he gets the john byrne disease if he isnt inked right: meaning everyone looks the same. Amazing to see Spike lee actually praising and be nice to a caucasion!

Y'know it's not like he's the only one in the industry who didn't have formal training. I read an old interview where Erik Larsen said he didn't finish High school
@macdeath69 Jack Kirby never did any formal art studying either, but at least Jack's art was good and he had a grasp on what human beings actually look like.
