  • This doesn't work for me, the item changes place after I loadstate!

  • Bitch please, i play in ps1 yet xD

  • what emulator do u use ?

  • I don't get it. Why people have to fight for a youtube video?

Moreover, this is a nice cheat that lets you spare a lot of time in one of the most frustrating tasks in FF series.

Thanks for sharing this, Xenol. ;)

  • Hot and cold game was the most frustrating part about this side quest , sadly there is no way to cheat it on the ps1 , I'm not using an emu

  • already know

  • Yeah it so nice why don't you just use cheats to get all that if you wish to do that kind of shit... AND PLAY IT ON PS1!!!

  • @koohoo0 only an impoverished faggot would play it on PS1 get a PS3 and download it off PSN you shit bag

  • @MayweatherTop1 FF9 downloaded from PSN costs about $5-10 but the original PS1-version costs about $60-80 since it's a collectible. Impoverished? Think again. And since the PS3-version doesn't contain any changes made aside the disk-changing, playing it on PS1 isn't any more gay than on PS3.

Now when we think of it, how does playing a game on a specific system make one homosexual? And what's so damn bad about homosexuality, for God's sake! Let's not be over-conservative racists/homofobics.

  • @MaRaTheMeyvn is my ps1 version of FF9 really worth that? thats insane, and it can only go up in price. i would never sell it though

  • @MayweatherTop1 umm yea no its actually better to play on ps1 just my thought. But i play it on psp.

  • @MayweatherTop1 Yeah but if you download it you take the chance of a storm happening. If your power is knocked out losing the data for you entire machine, making you have to re download and spend the money again if you just spend the $60 you won't have to worry about it. Plus there is nothing wrong with having a Ps1 it doesn't mean your poor you don't know if this person just like the Machine. So shut you mouth Brat we don't wanna hear it.

  • @zen849 none of what you said is true at all, infact i have no idea what your talkin about

  • @MayweatherTop1 Whoops wrong person my bad sorry ^^;

  • Kweh.

  • i got 5 chocographs in one run using this method. So nice.

  • Guys why are you bashing him for posting this?

It's great. Thanks for upload. I've tried this method and it makes it a lot easier.

Also thing is even if u go back to same spot, it might not be there, but like 70% time it will. And even if there is item on the spot after you loaded, the item u get is always different.

So it's ALL ABOUT LUCK. And manipulating luck is smart, not noob. Don't be mad.

  • lol wow. L2 play it on the PlayStation like i do :P

  • nice southpark reference in the annotation!

  • Too bad this doesn't work when playing the game on a Playstation. But I still manage to find 8 within the timelimit.

  • fc.k you mother. noob

  • Interesting....I can find 8 items without cheating....I guess I'm just really good at it....then again, playing this minigame to the point of getting a Robe of Lords is pretty extensive... :P

  • @EricB042389 This mini game deals more with your luck rather than skill anyway.

  • @SluF08 There's a little bit of both with any video game you play I think ;)

  • @EricB042389 Sorry, I think I didn't say it clearly. I got 8 items without cheating too, but what I was referring to is the fact that no matter how good you get, you won't always get 8 (especially in chocobo forest, lagoon is easy). Hence the luck factor in this minigame is pretty significant factor, whereas games like Dance Dance Revolution is more skill than luck, just drawing example from the top of my head, haha.

I agree though, usually video games are a mixture of both.

  • @EricB042389 I did that once! I feel accomplished

  • haha nice thinking, epsxe looking good now xD

  • what do you mean by save state? how to save and load like that?

  • @endrancethetemptor A save state is something you can only do when using an emulator. A save state is basically a feature that lets you save your game anywhere (without the use of save points or any other saving features the game may offer. You basically press a key and bang, the game is saved precisely where you were. You can also reload your save state in the same manner, which is what happens here to easily exploit the chocobo hot and cold minigame as you saw.

  • what do you mean "this isn't the way you're supposed to play it"???? THISSSSS is the way you're SUPPOSED to play it!!!! actually it's a great trick in the PC emulator for PS1, and other than this way I find playing this game rather tiresome and annoying....

  • How did u get a purple chocobo

  • Why I never thought of this! Haha, pretty obvious, actually I hate this mini game and now I knw how t cheat it

  • I did think of this, but for some reason, when I do a save state, it completely randomizes the item to a new location :(

  • @dcbernman Yeah, I have that problem too :S

  • @Wiichitoo actually, I might have made a development. I wasn't able to test this to be absolutely certain, but when I actually found an item, and the box indicating the depth of the item showed up, I went back to the previous save and the two times I did it that way it worked. If I just got the kwehhhh?! remark without finding the item, then it would be in a new random location upon loading the save... I wan't able to really test it much, since I ended up getting all the chocograph... things...

  • @dcbernman I think i get you , but because I do not speak much English i did'nt understand the whole thing .. but i might have a clue of what you just mean to say ;)

  • Ok, this one's pretty obvious ...

  • Although its useful, it totally takes the fun out of this mini-game...

  • wow i cannot believe i didn't think of this!! then again i dont use the emulator's save function....

  • Dude, you really need to get your sound plug-ins to work correctly :S

  • Aww... that's cheap...

  • neat trick.

  • This is what I was doing on September 11th

  • Thank you i didnt even know you could do that Good video keep more of those little cheats coming ;)

  • Ive had it with people on youtube that can't read the description.

  • @mavadoman I agree

  • @mavadoman You'll be surprised how often that happens.

  • i dun get how u did it o.o

  • @azurezinc you can do this with emulator like ePSXe.

you dig first then save state.

    then find the treasure.

once found reload the last savestate and dig back the found treasure.

    just do this repeatedly

  • @damienfah3y oh... ok thx

  • @azurezinc u need an emulator andmust use save states

you first save then find the general location of the treasure

then reload and go straight to it and just dig till u get it

when u get the treasure save the game and repeat ^_^

  • ... that suck's

  • how do you do this i am confused

  • i did that too lol. and there's more too. it seems the location of the next treasure is not determined by the game till you pecked the ground. so if you save state before pecking, you can actually choose where the treasure will be, by repeating this over and over till it's right near your position, saving you even more seconds. this specially helps on the floating garden, with it's 2 islands. in one game i had 57s left... lol

  • How are your bonus points so high? The only correlation I can make is that you have the ocean chocobo. I have the beginning color, yellow, and I only get about 250 bonus points and I usually have more time left than you. My item points are higher also. T_T Please help?

  • XD LOL nice...

  • cheater :D
