What a mess. Here's a tip, use tape, blue tack, or something to stick a small jar or prescription bottle under the thing you are ModPodging or painting. That way you just hold the bottle and not ever need to put your fingers on wet glue or paint

I think you should put newspaper under your working surface or an old phone book, it helps to keep your table clean.
