Now the correctness of the policy is if it is good for the whole nation, but not individual. I had make contribution to this country's economy, I consumer here, I paid high tuition fee and now I got the skills the country need. So why should I be kicked out?
And I want to say sorry to the people who couldn't have a decent job because of immigration. But the reality I know is that, pretty much native people don't have the quality to deserve some highly-skilled work. The thing is not all Chinese are chefs and selling dvds in U.K. I got my degree here, and want to seek a decent job in a big company, enjoy my life and pay my tax to this country. In THE matters of cultural dilute, personally speaking, I have done all what I could do to adapt the culture here.

I've never had a problem with chinese migrants, and nobody I know does either ;-). Every chinese person I've schooled with or worked all spoke English, and I've never seen a bunch of chinese hanging around on a corner waiting for work, or bus drinking, or filling up a hospital waiting room!

I have been living in NE London for the last couple of weeks. In the contrary to what is being said here I have met here only few migrants like me. I would call this area purely Pakistani. It's this culture not ours who have shaped this neighborhood and made it what it is today. At last, someone who has obviously experienced it. Brent and Barnet (the brent side, colindale, west hendon etc) is awful. Somalians, amongst others, spitting even in the school playground, and of the ones I know, the men all work cash in hand as cabbies, whilst they recieve benefits! tbh I get on with the somali cabbies, and am finding its the women who spit. Likewise. i think that if WW2 didnt occour (effects changing rules of immigration) AND the alternative movements that happend in the 60s, immigration/multiculturalism would not be as extreme as is today. Something interesting happend here last year when Liberals were in and our prime minister stopped allowing Sudanese to immigrate here because there was allot of trouble involving them. Yes Sydney at night is at least 90% Asian. I don't know the demographics of the whole area, but from what I saw, Europeans are by far the minority. So I think we Europeans need to start claiming minority status. Every other race who is the supposed 'minority' does.

Yep, it would appear that we british are simply not allowed to voice our opinion on the problems that are caused by mass migration! I don't dispute at all that SOME people need to leave a war zone but current trend has nought to do with war but economics and greed to the detriment of our country. And besides we still have refugees and asylum seekers from countries whose wars ended long ago. I've been taxed out of this country too now. But oh no, the nhs is coping, so is the education system and benefits, according to the government! Yeah, thats why they are rtaking more tax than ever for me, for less services.
I quit! I don't even have a spare £1 anymore, this country has totally alienated people like me. I wish I could emigrate, but I have used all my savings just to survive now. And us english migrating is just causing a new problem, we simply need our country back damnit!!!!!!!

I repeat agian, I oppose illegal work in U.K as u do including the Chinese restaurant. But not all the Chinese are just able to cook and sell fake DVD. I studied new stuffs every day even I got my U.K master degree. I want to deserve the U.K password to provide more contribution to this nation. As a Chinese international student, my persistance is aiming at highly skilled work class such as financial analysis, management, consultant for the U.K multinational for profit in China.

Actually, u really pinpointed my problem in linguistic problem. First, I just felt the slang and lingo is so difficult to handle. Second, I can express myself verbally more effectively than writing. And I want to say sorry to the people who couldn't have a decent job because of immigration. But the reality I know is that, pretty much native people don't have the quality to deserve some highly-skilled work. I know quite native teenages, they quite undergoing education just after middle school and this is the way they choose. How could it all blame on immigration. And my tuition during the university in U.K is tripple the native students'.

I agree there is an underclass in England, with no work ethic or morals. They merely blame migration as an excuse. They give us "normal" working class a bad reputation.
BUT there is also the problem now that the government scrapped after school apprentiships and manual lessons in schools such as woodwork and masonry, leading to a shortage of manual workers. And employers prefer to hire an already qualified Pole, as opposed to paying out and training an English person.

I am open minded and give a big compromise to the circumstances around me. I changed my accent from Ame to British. I went to venue and pub as all English youth. I even want to have a native girlfriend. The thing is that it diluted my original culture, but I ve never diluted English culture. yEAH, i EXactly got your point. And first of all, I want to make clear of my position. I don't advocate the illegal work employment in restaurant with Chinese backgroud. The thing is not all Chinese are chefs and selling dvds in U.K. I got my degree here, and want to seek a decent job in a big company, enjoy my life and pay my tax to this country. In THE matters of cultural dilute, personally speaking, I have done all what I could do to adapt the culture here.

Immigration is not a wrong policy generally speaking. More and more people will be getting older in U.k, THE PROportion will increase. The birth rate decrease and a lot of native kids fool around. Uk NEED new bloody. But the problem is how to control the immigration. As a Chinese in U.K, I am gonna to make an effort for U.K citizenship, because I think I make contribution to this country. I've never had a problem with chinese migrants, and nobody I know does either ;-). Besides, the problem with the current influx of migrants is simply the sheer numbers and the strain it puts on services. Every chinese person I've schooled with or worked all spoke English, and I've never seen a bunch of chinese hanging around on a corner waiting for work, or bus drinking, or filling up a hospital waiting room!

57 years and its not the country I enjoyed my
childhood in. The older I get the more I realise the parasites we elect just do not
have the indigenious population at heart.
My parents are into their 80s, because they have always provided for themselves, saving
for their future, they get nothing.
They do get the minimum pension but that
is nothing compared to that handed out to newcomers.

The people of britain don't, its the government.
This isn't about race, its about sheer numbers of people in a given area, the schools and nhs cannot cope. I don't accuse poeple migrants f being freeloaders, many do work, but the fact is there is overcrowding in all aspects of living, housing, schooling and nhs. Having a school full of non english speaking kids is not good for the learning of people like my son, it was a problem.

Sorry to here about your plight, but people move. We all immigrant problem. I came from the West Indies to the U.S. to attend school, and hopefully live in the United States. I take this clip personal because not every foreigner is a burden on the economy. I came with money and work to put money into my bank account. We had several severe assaults and 3 murders commited the area by muslims youths on non muslims, simply because they strayed into their territory. My brother was 1 of those assaulted, as unfortunately, my parents live on a road in a predominantly muslim area. Those youths were taken in by this propaganda. But this debate isn't about muslims, its about the problem of having a large number of non english speaking people in a given area, and the strain it put on local services.
