Its not sea level rise that we should be concerned about... its air QUALITY thats my issue. Lung cancer,asthma, cronic infections, rampant free radicals, and overal poor health is of more concern.

Look at the crap holes major cities and some costal valleys become, smog so thick your clothes turn brown (india) or where masks are used (china)... and where it is not ADVISABLE to go out for a jog or participate in strenuous activity.

that alone should stop the dependance on OIL and INDUSTRY.

The COMPETITIVE ENTERPRISE INSTITUTE is a right-wing think-tank largely funded by major oil industry and other corporate interests. Can it really be trusted as a reasonable/unbiased party on the issue of global warming? No way.

i hear 2 extremes in the argument- the left claims that global warming sceptic researchers are paid off by big oil and the right claims that global warming alarmists are frightening us into electing marxists.

since there is no measurable sea raise, but we can see other effects in weather extremes, why can't the majority choose a calm, reasoned path of careful change/investment instead of ignoring the stupidity of our resource wastage/overbreeding/tax crack addiction and voting in radicals?

Sort of. First, recorded history is ~180 years, though not too many places go back that far, so something more like 100 years is more reasonable. Most of the world is pretty spotty going back that far, so I'll mention that in the US, 1934 beat 1998 by a hair, and most of the top ten warmest years were in the 1930's and 1920's. 1998 was a freak because it had a massive El Nino spike (water vapor--unrelated to co2).

Its unbelievable that this guy does not see the consequences of releasing millions of years of captured carbon dioxide in just 150 years. It doesn't disappear into space its concentrating in our atmosphere and heating our planet. Views like his can only come from own interests in profit which is selfish and very short sighted!
