  • do you recommend oiling up to do pushups? if so, what scent do you use?

  • ωραιος ρε μεγαλε!

  • тени бошками стукаются)))

  • 65 conté yo...

  • fast push ups or slow pu? which are better??

  • @MisterJinzo7 Slow are probably better as far as muscle gains go but if you're being tested for some reason (perhaps military/law enforcement or just a general fitness challenge) you should do them as quickly as possible, probably get more in.

  • @MisterJinzo7 fast = explosivity

  • You can't stop during pus-ups

I can do 85 but You beat me

    You Win!

  • @joseph923513 Most fitness tests you can stop as long as you're in the pushup position, not sure what you're referring to though

  • Well done. Im stuck at 70 with good form. I break it down mentally as 15/15/15/15 and then 10 or 5/5).. the last 10 always take the longest, especially the last 5.and the last single rep to failure is always the toughest.

  • Would doing 100 pushups even give you size gains? I would think that's more of an endurance workout than a hypertrophy workout.

  • @Joeyyowe Yea it's more for endurance, most law enforcement agencies only test pushups/pullups for upper body strength so I'm trying to improve this area of my fitness. Just depends what you're looking for, for size high weight/low reps are best (and pushups are what, only lifting about 75% of your body weight I think?) but for endurance pushups are sufficient. Frankly it's probably a better test of functional strength, controlling your own body so I feel like I should get better at them.

  • @Anastasios912 Do you do all body weight exercises or do you hit the weights as well?

  • whats this song?

  • when you reached hundred, it's time to change excercise.

btw. try for example 50, 30, 15, 35 and at the end of each rep. lower you're knees to the ladies seat but continue till failure and fire. Do it after each rep.

    (67 in one minute)

  • 62

  • not bad

  • those are perfect bro

  • KALOS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not bad at all! Do be careful about how you hold your head, because you can strain your neck. Hold your head at a neutral position as best as possible.

  • Isn't that music in 300?

  • @wafflecushioned yes sir, good lifting/workout music my friend

  • @Anastasios912 agreed :P

  • @mccaffreyshawn you're so cool

  • @mccaffreyshawn wish people werent stupid >.> you actually recruit all muscle fibers large and small when you do it fast, and only small muscle fibers when you do it slow. Doing them slow only feels harder because it overworks your small muscle fibers which arent supposed to be supported by your small muscle fibers. so hes gaining more muscle by doing them fast, and less likely to hurt himself... stfu

  • nice, i can just manage 61, before i face plant the floor haha

Are you using any program? like im using the 100pushups one.

  • @ApplepieAussie Nice man! Not sure what my max is now, I'm about 1.5 years post pec tear...I probably could manage 40 on a good day...I'll have to try sometime (thing is, now I just stop because I'm scared shitless thinking about a retear). I'm not, I should get on a pushup routine...it's the most important law enforcement upper body exercise, I should get back to working on them.

  • @Anastasios912 Um. How did you tear your pec? That is scary.

  • @machogun Barbell flat benching...take my advice man, be careful with that exercise! Frankly, I'd say discontinue it all together, it's not that necessary really, mainly an ego thing (myself included when I did it often). I was using a normal weight, 225 and was going for a 6th rep. With no warning it tore almost immediately on the way down, this was with a warm up and stretching. It's been almost two years and unfortunately my right pec is still quite weak..but life goes on.

  • @Anastasios912 Yikes!!! That sounds tragic man, sorry that it happened! What exercise(s) would you recommend instead of it to get big pecs for teh woman folk?

  • @Anastasios912 If you dont mind me asking how did you get a pec tear , was if from doing a carzy amount of push ups or weights like the benchpress ?

  • @shampoo02 It was from heavy barbell benching, I warmed up a seemingly adequate amount (2-3 sets before I did my heavy set, stretched did some arm circles and what not). Did 225 five times, went for a sixth and my right pec tendon tore completely in half.

Do yourself a favor and discontinue heavy barbell bench. Don't wait to find out if you have a predisposition to pec tear..you will regret it. Learn from my experience, tendon tears suck.

  • @Anastasios912 Oh man sorry to hear that , hope its all good now for you .Did you have to get surgery to fix the tear? To tell you the truth I used to be big on benchpress bk in the day and was 160 pushing 225 4 times. But I feel lucky that i was never injured but it just didnt feel right and i was doing it right . Who cares about how much you can push laying down , no offense to anyone that loves to bench. Its just not for me and now love just doing body weight like pull up and push ups.Take care

  • @shampoo02 It's all good man, things could be far worse. I did, got my tendon sutured together a few weeks after. Good for you man, you were smarter than I was...wish I would have stopped when I got to that point, went to dumbbells or something. I agree man, it's such an ego lift it's ridiculous. I want to get into federal law enforcement so pushups are more important for PT any way, so I'm trying to refocus on body weight exercises. Thanks for the comments man, best of luck to you!

  • @Anastasios912 Im glad to hear that you are doing real good now , hey we all make mistakes in life as i have when I did do benchpress in the frist place. Look at you now thow your doing real good from what it sounds and anything in law is a good job in my opion , just keep safe man as im sure you will do real well at it. Your really strong at push ups in my opion and i bet you will pass the pt class with flying colors . Thanks and good luck to you with everything. Take care.

  • i'm 13 years old and can 30 push ups is that good? ;o

  • @Schuurdakmovies its alright, but nothing to brag about, since your only 13 it wouldn't be that hard because your probably only weighing in at a wet 90 pounds haha.

  • @Schuurdakmovies Yeah it is good mate keep at it and you will be able to double that :D

  • when you stop to take a breather.. thats when feell the sting :L

  • Impressive.

  • @Sjones675 Now my max is probably around thirty...freakin pec tear man! Sucks. I have lost so much it's ridiculous, watching my old videos gets me quite depressed.

  • i cant only do pushups like your for about 40 seconds

  • Perfect pT. test anticipation music + he did like 80 pt stud pushups. dag dude.

  • i did 123 straight

  • To improve your maximum, practice holding a pushup position for about 2 mins each day, this will allow you to rest in an up position while u are maxing and if u can hold the position well, it will realy rest your muscles so that u can do more in the same set

  • not to say u did a bad job....but try doing them every other day i got to 72 pushups non stop in 3 months like that.....but i stoped -_-.....nice job thoe
