I think Muslims, almost all of them are very rigid and can not accept faults on their side. We need to be open minded and ready to accept the truth which way or side it goes to. I dont get y you keep saying "coward", i said they rejected the imam of their time, and all 120,000 (Yaqubi 2nd vol, p. 188) people were rejecting the imam of their time becaus they fought the imam of their time. Why does it matter if it was 120000 or 90000 at the end of the day those "sahaba" knew Ali was the caliph yet they rejected it.

The prophet(saw) made his prophethood public at age of 40. For many years after this he and all the early converts were persecuted. @asif365 Second, the event of Ghadir is an event that can not be disputed, sunni and shia alike have this event in their books and the historical books also prove the authenticness of this event. In public and in front of thousands of people, the prophet(saw) appoints Imam Ali(as) under the command of Allah. U cant deny this event.

Authentic tradition is one which has the same value, and has arrived to one or more pious humans, from multiple pious human nodes in a continuous chains of narrations.
There are traditions that are source of deviation, because they don't meet the aforementioned definition of the Authentic Traditions.
He will accept the original requirement passed on by the prophet as the true path.
At least the principle should be straight, even if there is variance in implementation in ones walk of life.
Allah is forgiving & merciful, however, Allah has given us brains, we can easily understand the PRINCIPLE OF ORIGINALITY, to be the underlying principle.
Details come after wards, first thing first, we have to accept the principle of originality to be an indispensable requirement.
I think it S important 2 establish, what it S in principle & what it is not, what R the original requirements, as the prophet experienced it, what R his boundaries in time, what were his boundaries of coordinates in the geographical space, before even going into any details. Once U know the exact scope of the prophet's actual experience that matters as the requirement, then U may not need 2 even creep the scopeof the original requirement with things like imam stations, or their divine powers.
Death is a delinking process for the soul. We are all souls. So every souls has will taste the experience of the de_linking process. AL Samad means the entity about which nothing is comparable. Allah has AL as the prefix for all His qualities.
What ever that ever existed and was run by the creative processes or systems like digestive system, reproductive system,growth system becomes comparable, depends on processes for growth.
Therefore Allah alone is the creator, rest are His creation.
It is true Allah is AL-SAMAD, independent of all needs, matter, space, time, physical location.
His creation is dependent on needs.
The best bet is to seek the truth. Quran is guidance for only those who are righteous & do what is right, accept the truth, do not indulge in perversion, extreme obsessions. AL-Islam is a moderate 'way of life' Deen.

I think Muslims, almost all of them are very rigid and can not accept faults on their side. We need to be open minded and ready to accept the truth which way or side it goes to. We need to discuss the issues concerning shia and sunni openly without needing to bark at each other. When Muslims are able to do this, we will be victorious. But I do not see it now. I only see scholars from both sides making allegations and accusations at each other. What we need is discussion and education.

Also fear Allah SWT in your comments. How can you say that Surah 37:50 cuts off, when Allah SWT CLEARLY states in the Qur'an "Lo! We, even We, Reveal the Reminder, and Lo! We verily are its Guardian" (15:9)
So either there are no missing verses in the Qur'an, as you are implying, or Allah broke His Promise of Guarding the Qur'an.
And just in case you want to reply with "well we have it"... make sure that you have actually seen it first and it's not "hidden" like the "book of Fatimah"

@lebmo Lets forget about all the ahadith that Sunnis claim or that Shias claim. Let's throw them out for a moment and look at the FACTS that both sides acknowledge: Ali (RA) named his children Abu Bakr, Omar and Othman. Ali (RA) married his daughter Om Kalthoum to Omar (RA).
So what does all of this tell you? Shia: Ali (RA) was not only a coward for not standing up for his right to the caliphate, but he also named his kids after those who usurped him. Sunni: Ali (RA) loved the 3 Caliphs.

Of course prophet SAW,did not appoint someone but by wider concensus and closeness of Abu Bakr Siddiq RA to prophet SAW, he was made Khalifa; there aren't any incidences of any opposition to him by any Sahaba;This was basically the true democracy of Islam in effect, denouncing monarchy;Also the person who leads prayers is called an IMAM not sure what status you give an imam but the Imam supposedly has the highest authourity;sadly Imams arent given that status nowadays.

Its not too hard to believe because in battle of siffin 120000 "sahaba" fought thier caliph, Ali (as) so the same thing happened when the prophet died alot of people rejected Ali(as) eventhough they knew he should have the power. plus the ahlulbayt were supporting eachother unlike the "sahaba" e.g. Abbas and Ali (as) came as witnesses for Fatima (as) for Fadak against Abu bakr.

I dont get y you keep saying "coward", i said they rejected the imam of their time, and all 120,000 (Yaqubi 2nd vol, p. 188) people were rejecting the imam of their time becaus they fought the imam of their time. Why does it matter if it was 120000 or 90000 at the end of the day those "sahaba" knew Ali was the caliph yet they rejected it.

The prophet(saw) made his prophethood public at age of 40. For many years after this he and all the early converts were persecuted. Shias are 20 % of Muslim world. They live among a sea of Sunnis. We intermarry, have friendships, learn from eachother.
However, ritualistic cursing of Sunni heroes is bound to create tensions.
This may be good religion, but it is bad policy (no, you can not convert all Sunnis, nor can we convert all Shias)
It makes it xtremely hard for bridge builders (like myself) to create goodwill among us.

Death is a process that delinks the driver from the physical existence.

He will accept the original requirement passed on by the prophet as the true path.
At least the principle should be straight, even if there is variance in implementation in ones walk of life.
Allah is forgiving & merciful, however, Allah has given us brains, we can easily understand the PRINCIPLE OF ORIGINALITY, to be the underlying principle.
Details come after wards, first thing first, we have to accept the principle of originality to be an indispensable requirement.

I think it S important 2 establish, what it S in principle & what it is not, what R the original requirements, as the prophet experienced it, what R his boundaries in time, what were his boundaries of coordinates in the geographical space, before even going into any details. Once U know the exact scope of the prophet's actual experience that matters as the requirement, then U may not need 2 even creep the scopeof the original requirement with things like imam stations, or their divine powers.

Death is a delinking process for the soul. We are all souls. So every souls has will taste the experience of the de_linking process. AL Samad means the entity about which nothing is comparable. Allah has AL as the prefix for all His qualities.
What ever that ever existed and was run by the creative processes or systems like digestive system, reproductive system,growth system becomes comparable, depends on processes for growth.
Therefore Allah alone is the creator, rest are His creation.

DCI & AIS is the most important thing that needs to be eliminated to achieve unity based on prophet 's personal experience over the 23 years.
It is important because it violating the 23 years boundary & is basically transgression or shirk.

can someone tell me where prophet Muhammad pbuh oppointed the caliph - becasue there was alot of confusiion and later Ali inb Talib (ra) accepted Abu Baker (ra) as caliph and helped Omar ibn Kattab (ra) in office.

there are several (sunni+shia) hadiths that say that the prophet (pbuh) appointed imam ali to succeed him, but the sunni reject all of these hadiths, despite it coming from "sahih" bukhari and muslim
imam ali was there with the prophet(pbuh) during the battle of uhud when everyone else (except some lady and and a couple other people) ran away, including the 2 caliphs you mentioned

You are allowed to disagree with one side, but that gives you no right to preach against it with lies. First of all, the Shias worship Allah and Allah only. Anything else you hear about that is a complete lie made to make Shias look bad. And what is wrong with the Prophets being sinless? You would think that God would send Representatives that do not make any mistakes. Because if the prophet missed his prayers every once in a while, then I could miss my prayers every once in a while. Islam is all about unity. Calling their beliefs extreme stupidity is the exact opposite of what Islam stands for.

However, by taking a minority position, you're required to clearly prove your case that your odd position is taken based on solid ground. Let's see logic states that the core of something is its source of strength and foundation. According to shiaism, the core of islam is not only bad, but rotten...i.e. the companions of the prophet who sacrificed their lives and families for the sake of islam. Therefore, shiaism and islam can not coexist. Of course shiaism followers, being a minority, want to establish a sense of comfort in the broader SUNNI world, but as soon as u open the shitism satanic books, their sad reality speaks volume.
