the first hand gun you have ever owned? give me a break. throw that baretta in the garbage can. i've never had a jam with a 75. i shoot all kinds of ammo in a 75. buy 1k rounds at a time. 115 grain. trust me. .10 cents a round. a $1.6 per round?, lol. your a fool.
@TheTheratfarmer Were you drunk when you watched this? The $1.60 ammo was premium hollow point ammo for self defense (Corbon DPX); I don't shoot it at the range. This gun jammed like crazy when I first got it because it had a bad extractor spring; I replaced it, and now it works great. It's the first hand gun I purchased on my own, yes. What's wrong with Berettas? They're good guns.
@Riflemanm16a2 Can you please tell me how long the trigger reset is by actually pulling the trigger and holding it down while racking the slide back (dont just pull hammer back) then letting the finger go slowly forward? THanks.
@therealhazel Most of the states have some form of open carry; however, my state totally bans it (as do two neighboring states). An open carry bill made it all the way to the Governor last year, and he vetoed it. It was supposed to be proposed again this year, but it was blocked somehow. It kinda sucks, but I don't know if I would do it very often if I could.
@jigglejack100 Yeah, it's still in double action at half-cock, but there is more takeup and less creep (basically, you can pull the trigger with no resistence about half the way).
@riflemanm16a2 ya tht is the same one i just bought as well i wanted the satin nickle or the stainless but they said it wouldnt be a good idea especially for a conc. weapon
I bought a CZ452-2E .22LR and it's by far one of the most accurate .22 cal guns i've ever shot and owed :D CZ makes some damn good guns , great review man keep up the great work
I have a CZ-75bd myself, and i have to say that it has always been a straight shooter and very reliable. There are a few different mags that claim to be compatible with the 75, but i have had some feeding issues while using them. Suggestion for CZ 75 owners - only use that are actually made by CZ.
@Riflemanm16a2 I'm pretty sure I meant to type"grammer" lesson. Guess I'll have to fire up my "Typing with Mavis Beacon" cd and put in some "range time"...
@mitchg233 I was getting ready to take a shit, and, when I undid my belt to drop my pants, the weight of the gun in my holster made it fall faster than I expected. So it hit the tile in the holster.
The only two differences are that the 75B has a safety; whereas, the 75BD has a decocker; and the 75BD has drop-free mags (the 75B's mags only pop out about a quater inch and stick, but that is easily modified from what I read).
@Lvl22nerd Hmm, that's weird. Yours is the safety version? Did you get it used? They usually have a bent piece of sheet metal covering the mainspring that prevents it from dropping free. A lot of people have to replace it with a flat one.
@Riflemanm16a2 bought it brand new through a local shop...i havent heard anything about tight mags on CZs other than the P-07 Duty, but thats been resolved for some time now
Hey nice review. I just made a review of my first gun purchase. Its also a CZ75b. Mine is the single action though. I love it, No problems what so ever. Great gun at a great price.
Actually, "weren't" is the correct form. It's called the subjunctive mood. Look it up. If the clause begins with "if," "as if," or "as though" and is a hypothetical or wishful statement, then the subjunctive mood is used (as opposed to the indicative mood). Take for example, "If I were you, I wouldn't do that." It's not "If I was you..." The following clause usually uses the conditional (the infinitive preceded by "would" or "could," etc).
However, if you were stating a fact, the indicative mood would be used. The indicative can also be used after "if" when the event is possible. "If he goes, then I'll go." This example shows a higher likelihood than, "If he went, I would go." "To be" is the only verb that has a singular and plural conjugation in the past tense, and, in the subjunctive, it's always "were" even if the subject is singular.
I have a CZ 75B in two tone. I happened to have this gun on me when I was visiting a friend at a rifle range. Just for fun, I decided to try to knock down some bowling pins that he had setup at 100 yards. I was able to knock down 10 pins using only 17 rounds! 9mm!? Wow. I'm NOT kidding. This gun can shoot! Try it, let me know.
@nx1z Wow, that's some impressive shooting. I would like to shoot bowling pins some time. To be honest, I haven't noticed the SUPER MEGA AWESOME accuracy with my CZ 75 that everyone else has. Although, the CZ 97 B, on the other hand, is probably the most accurate gun I've ever shot. It hit the target even when I thought I missed. It must have a targeting computer or something. The only problem with it is that the double action trigger is impossible to reach, so it's basically only useful in SA.
Yeah, yeah. The P99 one is coming after I shoot it again. 25 rounds probably doesn't count. Although I probably shot 100 rounds through the P99c that one day. But those review would suck too.
By the way, I can't seem to find any holsters online for the 2nd generation P99. Most people don't even list the distinction. I emailed two holster makers, and they said they only make them for the original P99, and that the new version won't fit.
i carry this gun in an uncle mikes inside the pants cheapy holster, and a fullsize Kimber 1911 in the same holster. i dont mind the weight at all. i guess when it comes down to it i would much rather have to deal with the weight day to day than have to contend with a subcompact type firearm in a gun fight. i think the accuracy and handling of a full size pistol makes it worth it, i carry either the cz or 1911 everyday everywhere. i have never had a single jam, and it is extremely accurate.
I took it out to the range earlier this week and put about another 75 rounds through it. It had about three failures to extract, where a casing was still in the chamber while it was trying to load a fresh round behind it. But this could be due to A) cheap wal-mart ammo, B) Forgetting to oil it up before shooting, or C) It's brand new and is still breaking in. Nevertheless it took away a bit of my confidence in its reliability. I definitely agree about carrying a full sized gun...
... I'm thinking about carrying a P99 QA instead of this. I definitely like the flatness of this gun though (and the extra round of capacity over the P99).
that is really weird, i would send it back and tell them to fix it. CZ's are supposed to be as reliable as Glocks. it wouldnt jam from lack of oil, possibly could be the ammo or break in. shoot about 500 rounds and if its still doing it defiantly send it back. if you take it apart and polish the trigger where it breaks you get a much smoother pull. also take a gunsmiths stone to the frame and slide rails and ever so slightly hit them, it will smooth the gun out a lot and increase reliability.
Yes, you can get a stainless CZ 75B. It's gorgeous.
MrNeedsdecaf 3 months ago
@MrNeedsdecaf I agree. I'm usually not much for entirely stainless pistols, but the CZ 75B is an exception.

MrMuscleMam1105 1 year ago
@MrMuscleMam1105 9mm Parabellum. There is a .40 s&w version too, but the slide is different (it looks ugly in my opinion).
Riflemanm16a2 1 year ago
@Riflemanm16a2 Also, from what I can find, the .40 version only has 10 round magazines. I would think it could hold more as the 9mm version holds 16.

@tacoma81 Yeah, the polycoat finish is pretty pathetic. I can literally put a scratch in it with my fingernail.

don't like the fact that the cz decocker only drops it to half cocked. would prefer it do it like beretta or sig and drop it fully.
