This walkthrough was the only reason i kept on playing it, cause it pissed me off way too much in the beginning.. And you just made everything alot funnier and better in every kind of way! I really really wish i could have continued my journey along with you.. But thanks for all your help and entertaining videos, i guess i'll come back once in a while to watch :)

@HowcastGaming Just in case you havent figured it out yet, when ever an enemy grabs you, press all the face buttons, as in triangle, square, x and circle, to make them get off much sooner

This is it. I finally made it. I started watching this playthrough because I'm interested in this game, but I don't have a PS3 and I guess I will never be patient enough to play it. Just keep doing videos, these are exactly the playthroughs I've been looking for this game.

I find backstabbing is easier if you drop your shield just before you strike rather than holding the shield button and pushing attack at the same time. I have no idea if that actually works or if I just imagined it but try it.

@1mgoingtoregretthis your right backstabbing is not posseble while holding the shield up (and yes im right becouse i testet it more than one time) you have to keep your shield down with every weapon.

Wtf? 5000-8000 souls for balder set? What a ripoff! Its not even good armour & its frequently dropped

Also just curious what is your current HP/Stamina? I'm just about to encounter the Blighttown boss & I've got 1130 HP with 105 stamina and a 10+ Eagle Shield (78 stability). I may be over prepared :P I'll definitely remember not to hit that egg-shaped friendly NPC after seeing your vid, lol

Upgrade that lightning spear as far as you can get it. Your using it afterall.

there is someone you can summon so make sure your human when you start with fighting its on your left if you are standing in front of the whitelight the summon sighn is in a corner of the empty room

Kindle that fire you keep resting at. Your going to need those 10 estus flasks.

In the tower you had to jump a gap to reach there was a stair case leading down. I expect that it would have taken you to that item you had your eye on.

go back to the merchant and go down the stairs all the way, get the key which opens the cages in the room ahead of the bridge open cage walk into it, go down, shortcut open.

If you don't feel confident in your ability to backstab, you may want to reconsider upgrading that Bandit Knife, seeing as it's kind of all about backstabs/parrying. The Iaito or spear may be better choices. The Iaito has a good dex modifier so you can just follow the normal upgrade path with that if you want, though +5 lightning upgrades come much earlier than +15 normal. If you do use a lightning weapon, don't boost dex as lightning weapons lose scaling. Better to put those into endurance.
