Ok we'll end this Now The Maxima from the 4th gen till now has used the VQ series Engines The VQ30DE was in the 4g from 1995-1998(1999 idk) then they went to the VQ30DE-K I think from 2000-2003 or something like that then placed the VQ35DE in to maxima Which they still use in the Maxima to this day. Very durable motors I know mine is a 96' been in the family since 97 and now it's my car and I wouln't trade it for jack...

How can I compare a 400/455BB, well check wards. the VQ is on wards top ten engiens from 95-08, NO other motor comes close to even being on it that many times. VQ is a strong, VERY high quality built motor, and can last extremely long, and take TONS of abuse. I've never been able to put an American car through the torture I've put on a VQ. End of discussion.
