I'm American, but I had a friend in the Royal Signals (attached to a mech. infantry unit) there in Helmand with the 7th Armoured Brigade back in 2006 (he also was in Basra at the end of 2008), and another friend who was there March to September 2009 with Normandy Coy, 4 Mercian (TA).
Good couple of guys. Neither of them seem to care much for what we're doing in Iraq, but believe in what we're doing in Afghanistan. Bit frustrated also with the way some of their countrymen treat them.
