vtec lasts longer than lift vtec kicks in at 5400 revs and lift kicks in at 6200revs i had a civic vtec and av now got a corolla tsport and the corolla tsport kicked its arse

this isto reply niceboy60... there is no turbo... that y is call V V T L i and L stands for LIFT (TOYOTA) the boost kicks in at around 6000rpm or so just like honda V T E C which kicks in around 5000rpm and get your facts right, it does'nt sound like VTEC, VTEC was design to have a special high pitch sound which VVTL.i does'nt you surely don't know much about cars

This engine was only made to sound like a type r

If Toyota was succefull creating a (vtec) engine they wouldent need to put a turbo just to try to keep up with a type r wich thanks to the vtec system dosent need a Turbo

However the corolla is not slow , because there is no small cars with petrol engines & turbos that are actually slow.
