the playing music ZUNE, for apps apple itouch, for battery life nano or zune, for slimness probs nano, for robustness i hear zune HD is good, depending which interface your used to i think metro is great because i have windows phone 7 and im currently running the developer preview of windows 8, so i full on metro! the zune is supported by a nvidia system on a chip which are so well balanced and reliable. i would go for zune myself just for the better music and metro experience.
people who bought the ipod touch and only play games and apps forgot the main reason what an mp3 or mp4 is supposed to do, to play music i my self have a zuneHD because the ipod was too expensive and 8 gb wasn't enough memory for me and the pod touch 4 gen is even bigger and wieghs more then the zuneHD itself apple can at least re think about the 8gb and change it to 16 Moral: if u want apps get ipod, if you want sound quality, and video get the Zune HD

i personally would get the zune. i had the 5th gen ipod nano, and it did not come meet my needs although i did all of my youtube vids with it. if u like to listenin style, zune. zune is cheaper and better quality. the only downside is that the webrowsing and the apps. but zune rocks!!
It depends what you want. If all you care about is apps, get the iPod Touch. If you want a high quality multimedia player, get the Zune HD. If you don't care about apps and really want one with a camera, get the iPod Nano 5G
The ipod touch was a big disapointment to me this year, since it didnt have the camera built in, so i guess i'll wait till semptember for the new ipods to be released. The Zune HD is great, but doesnt offer as many features as I would like. And the iPod Nano is mainly only for music, I want other features too.

It is basically the same price as the touch, but has 8GB more memory. It has a 16:9 ratio. It has a longer battery life, and it can play hd movies and hd radio.

nano is really only for music and video, its awesome. but the touch is better. u can do pretty much everything u can do on the nano and more. (except for radio and video camera). the touch is just a better option for me.
Go with the zune HD. I have ipod touch 1st gen and ipod nano 5th gen. The zune looks sweet and its interface looks even sweeter. I do like both of my ipods though, so overall I think any of them will be the right choice

Well it all depends on what you're gonna do the most, the ipod nano is good if you take lots of videos and listen to music. Like honestly who cares if the radio is HD? There's nothing wrong with normal radio. If you like apps and internet I'de definitely go with the iTouch (I have the 1st Gen and love it) but if you watch tons and tons of videos than go with the Zune. They're all equal IMO it jsut depends on what features you'll use the most
ive been downloading apps on itunes for my ipod touch and i havent even got it yet. lol. today i download a couple of (FREE) calling and texting apps, plus twitter and some racing games. but there all free. sometimes im a very cheap person, well i always save my money and use someone else's. lol

there are hundreds of thousands of free and paid apps. you can even text people's cell phones on your ipod touch. the app is called textplus. and its even free on itunes. and i would happily pay for that app.
u can also call phones. but u have to have it jail broken. which i not a big fan of cuz if u mess up then ur ipod touch will freeze and be pretty much worthless.

If your a music lover and the info streaming of artist and music content attracts you alot. If your focus more on getting more and more new music content with extra like radios with gorgeous screen, Zune all the way. But If you want to have lesser quality music content but a load of other "smartphone capabilities" like huge app store, and lots of features ipod has to offer-go with the Apple Touch. I'm still tryna decide which option id be more happy with. Good luck.
The Zune Hd does have apps, but for now they suck. Later on they might get as good as itunes apps. But for now itunes apps and the iPod Touch is better. The Zune HD might have better battery, screen, plus a beutiful hd radio. But the iPod Touch just has waaaaaaay more incredible features. For the music. They're both pretty even. But in my opinion its iPod touch 51% Zune HD 49% for now. Later on if the future that will definantly change.

Well, it would be no different than the second gen versions. Except for a small speed increase, there's really no difference between the second and third gen device.

i know the nano is awesome. but i want to be able to go on the internet. and text other cell phones. the video camera on it is amazing, but i wont use it very often, only occasionally
the ipod touch can do pretty much everything the nano can do, except for the camera and radio feature.

You won't use the internet browser much on iPod
if you have got acces to a computer you will favourite it over the iPod any time. and texing other people? you can just "chat" on ipod
but you have to be connected to wi-fi to chat (text)
video camera is always super cool to have around. I would go with Nano
and jailbreaking is extremly easy with every iphone/ipod except ipod touch 3g
look up a yt movie about jailbreaking using "blackra1n"

what are you talking about the app store has over 80,000 apps you can download a new one every day that will last you about till your about 200 years old compared to the 20 on zune, by the time zune catches up the app store will have probably over 160,000 apps for another 200 years

nano is really only for music and video, its awesome. but the touch is better. u can do pretty much everything u can do on the nano and more. (except for radio and video camera). the touch is just a better option for me.

Yes it has a shit load of apps but barely any are good/fun and even less are useful.
the only one i still use is paper toss and thats only when i'm on the loo
plus you'll use even less when you keep having to pay to get new ones, they may be cheap but the costs do add up

Go with the zune HD. I have ipod touch 1st gen and ipod nano 5th gen. The zune looks sweet and its interface looks even sweeter. I do like both of my ipods though, so overall I think any of them will be the right choice

Well it all depends on what you're gonna do the most, the ipod nano is good if you take lots of videos and listen to music. Like honestly who cares if the radio is HD? There's nothing wrong with normal radio. If you like apps and internet I'de definitely go with the iTouch (I have the 1st Gen and love it) but if you watch tons and tons of videos than go with the Zune. They're all equal IMO it jsut depends on what features you'll use the most

ive been downloading apps on itunes for my ipod touch and i havent even got it yet. lol. today i download a couple of (FREE) calling and texting apps, plus twitter and some racing games. but there all free. sometimes im a very cheap person, well i always save my money and use someone else's. lol

If u want something simple, definently go with the nano. On the other hand if u want a pocket computer, check out itouch and zune hd comparison vids. I still havent decided between the two. peace:}

the ipod touch's internet browser is waaaaaaay faster than the zune hd's. plus it has flash do u can watch youtube vids. but it sucks that u cant do that with the zune hd. if the zune hd had apps similar to itunes apps. plus flash player on the internet browser. then i would get it. but it doesnt. so for now im gettin the ipod touch 3g

the ipod toch 3g is the best choice...because it has most of the things of an ipod nano 5g, and more like internet, and even for the reason that the zune HD can't even compare with the ipod touch only for the APPS!!!...so after all the ipod touch 3g is the BEST!!!

there are hundreds of thousands of free and paid apps. you can even text people's cell phones on your ipod touch. the app is called textplus. and its even free on itunes. and i would happily pay for that app.
u can also call phones. but u have to have it jail broken. which i not a big fan of cuz if u mess up then ur ipod touch will freeze and be pretty much worthless.
im maybe gettin an ipod touch 3rd gen 32gb in a couple of weeks. but i wanna try out the zune hd at best buy b4 i get one

If your a music lover and the info streaming of artist and music content attracts you alot. If your focus more on getting more and more new music content with extra like radios with gorgeous screen, Zune all the way. But If you want to have lesser quality music content but a load of other "smartphone capabilities" like huge app store, and lots of features ipod has to offer-go with the Apple Touch. I'm still tryna decide which option id be more happy with. Good luck.

The Zune Hd does have apps, but for now they suck. Later on they might get as good as itunes apps. But for now itunes apps and the iPod Touch is better. The Zune HD might have better battery, screen, plus a beutiful hd radio. But the iPod Touch just has waaaaaaay more incredible features. For the music. They're both pretty even. But in my opinion its iPod touch 51% Zune HD 49% for now. Later on if the future that will definantly change.

the zune hd requires a zune pass for music. which is nice because you can download as many songs as you want. but what happens when u stop paying monthly for the zune pass. ALL OF THE SONGS U HAVE ARE GONE!!!
the zune hd's screen is better than the ipod touch's, plus it has a beutiful hd radio but the ipod touch is faster and has more and better features.
the zune hd is still very awesome but in my opinion the ipod touch is better for now.

okay.. first... the zune pass is optional... and i would like to have it cuzz its so cool!! and if u get the zune pass u get to choose 10 songs each month so u can keep them... even if u cancel the subscription... and NO!!!!!!!!!!! Well, it would be no different than the second gen versions. Except for a small speed increase, there's really no difference between the second and third gen device.
So, if you think the second gen was awesome, then it will be the same with the third gen.
