  • "you're on top of the world". yeah look at mt. everest from the moon. are you still on top of the world bro?

  • @AdriaNerdy yes

  • @AdriaNerdy dumb arse

  • Totally inspiring, what an achievement oh and by the way have you heard of a helicopter

that can fly at 29,000 ft Zander8171 ? Nope neither have I

Just getting to Base camp is an achievement for most people & i speak from experience having done just that in 2006. This is still an incredible achievement to climb Everest blind.

You never conquer this mountain, it lets you climb it, never forget that.

1 in 6 who attempt it die. thats the facts.

  • @HEFFSTER478 I can't imagine climbing everest at all let alone blind, however, a french team flew a modified AS350 Eurocopter to the summit on May 14, 2005.

  • @RHL505 Impossible!

  • blind peeps

  • have you heard of a helicopter...

  • "stood up and quickly reached for the next knob "

    Fnarr...

  • im sorry but does anyone else just think these two things dont go together?. . . .

  • im 14 and i climb the kilimanjaro i climb to the camp 3 of everest and i climb another mountain...

  • Im so gonna build a house up there

  • great nice channel

  • Anyone can attempt Everest nowadays. The guiding companies have made sure that considering you're moderately fit and have some climbing experience, you can pretty much get wedged up to the top given the correct weather window. This is a good thing for ordinary people who have ambitions to be on top of the world, but its not a good thing for serious professional alpinists and mountaineering enthusiasts.

  • @broumirin 100% agree

  • @broumirin moderately fit is an understatement. People have to be more than marathon fit and have years of experience to even ever attempt it. It's very easy to sit in your comfy chair like a little keyboard hero and spoil what only a few thousand people have ever achieved.

  • @MRDURRUS Well sir,I see you like your mountaineering too. I would save your "keyboard hero" comments till last because frankly speaking they've been overused too much. Now, if you've look back up on the years on guiding companies like Summitclimb, Peakfreaks, FTA etc, the majority of climbers they guide up don't even have more than 1-2 8000m summits. Majority of them have summited Lhotse and a small number of other 6000m peaks. Like Scott Fischer said, they've laid a yellow brick road

  • @broumirin don't forget he said that before he died in 1996 whilst descending from the top of Everest. If it was as simple as a "yellow brick road" I am sure this experienced climber wouldn't have perished climbing this mountain. It is still bloody hard to do, that's why it is still a great achievement to reach the top.

  • @broumirin Not everyone has 100 grand or more to spend on climbing all of the 8k's

  • Eric, you are amazing!

  • "..centre of the cosmos.."

    Uh, no.

  • wow imagine that

  • next year osama's mates will get an aircraft and hit Mt Everest and make it smaller

  • but.... HE'S GAY!

  • @JuiceCharecter LOL You saw that interview didnt you

  • they just told him he made it and turned back around cuz they got cold

  • what if they lied, that would be evil

  • well done but if you cant see it whats the point???

  • I loled at the guy talking at 0.40... With that music... I kept hoping he was gonna say

    - "Matt Damon!" =D

  • THIS deserves millions of views, not justing gayber

  • man they are breathing so fast, it must be extremely hard to breath :s

  • Divine

  • the real challenge is going back down hope they made it!

  • @TheWill211187 yea they did. and he was the first and only BLIND person to ever be up there. truly amazing

  • genuine goosebumps.

  • I hope someday I can climb Everest.

  • @thekaratedouble0 yeah, with oxygen....

  • @ilergetes77 Even with oxygen it's really hard and dangerous...

  • @jakeshelton

Yes, but with oxygen to lower the height of the mountain, is a self-deception. I think it would be more ethical to climb a mountain 6000-7000 meters without oxygen.

  • @ilergetes77 listen im only 17 and my life goal is to reach the summit of this mountain... even if u use oxygen, dont u think this is an awesome accomplishment? I mean, many people summited mount everest and less than 100 people did it w/o oxygen... gosh! ur at 30 000 feets high! don't u want to be as safe as possible?
