  • I seriously dont understand why this thing hasnt been shut down yet

  • @aliaspinkpanther

whats that supposed to mean .Why would it be?

  • scientology, mental disorder... whats the difference?

    HAIL ZENU

  • this fool is trying to make money by robbing all of you with his lies. no scientologist would ever take psychiatric drugs.

  • I wonder if scientology can trigger mental illness or mental illness can trigger scientology

  • @spencerdev91 a better question which came first Mental Health or Scientology and whats the difference

  • This cunt is on some sort of medication !!!

  • psychiatry dose help at times

    scientology helps it self

  • Scientologists HATE this video!

The "church" of Scientology tries to use its front group, CCHR (the "citizen's commission on human rights" - LOL) to promote propaganda and get Scientology teachings into places it's normally not allowed.

I'm not a big fan of the over-prescription of psychiatric drugs myself, but Scientology's quackery is NOT the answer!

    xenu(.)net

  • @NarkAnon

Psychiatry quackery is not the answer. You think scientology is bad, but psychiatrists are just as stupid and have just as ridiculous of beliefs. The difference is, psychiatry has sway in courts and authority to drug kids. Scientology is childsplay compared to psychiatry.

  • @Antipsychiatry123 Its not the quite the same tho is it? Although I agree that there is a massive tendency for mental health professionals to rely too heavily on drugs and are reluctant to try other therapies (at least in the UK) but thats not the same as selling courses for $1000s about how we are all posessed by aliens!

  • @CrimsonZeoRanger

No you're right. It's worse. Everyone on the outside including the legal system understands scientology is bs. But people legitimately believe psychiatry is science. People will take drugs trusting a doctor who has just as much legitimacy as a scientologist. Of course, they are making a lot of money off this scam as well.

  • @Antipsychiatry123 I feel i need to mention the many people who do recieve effective treatment for their illnesses. However, having worked in mental health for several years now I know that actually they are in a small minority, so may be you are rite. Actually fuck this! If any psychiatrists are reading this, you can defend yourself from now on, Im with this guy!!!

  • im afraid for the psychiatrist, they're gonna put snakes in his mailbox :(

  • Another false ASSUMPTION by you Yaman. I am sueing. Our messages are similiar and I have as much right to speak as anyone. Only a Bully would tell someone else to shut up. You revile yourself as one. Your mean spirited and angry.

  • He has a point of view based on his experience- not the same as the FACTS. I had prozac without informed consent that it kills people. Shrink misdiagnosed me with bi-polar which requires many medical tests to rule. I had thyroid which can look like BP but is not. I had heart, lung, liver, kidney, immune system failure, siezure and a 10 day coma. These drugs are often deadly. Dry mouth is a classic symptom of these meds. He COULD be nervous but he makes a living in front of the camera.

  • his facts are different then yours . He is not advocating all psychiatrists. He is not on prozac. Write your book and shut up. Its ur fault if you didn't sue. Your opinions have nothin to do with aaron. U done now. Oh yes and he doesn't make a living in front of camera tho he could.

  • Sorry you had such a bad experience but your situation does not sound typical. My hubby takes prozac and it's has been fabulous for him, totally helped him. He says he wished he had gotten on it yrs ago. Sister takes prozac also and has had zero problems, no side effects. You did make a good point about the thyroid, it is WAY under diagnosed and can cause symptoms of anxiety and depression.

  • Good point. It is still misleading, as is psychiatry. The problem with this arguement and based on the comments here it is not an informed one, is it becomes about scientology, which is NOT the point. That is how the public is snowed and confused about the REAL dangers of shrinks. Called ScT's whatyou want, I am NOT defending them. The TRUTH is THOUSANDS of working shrinks make the EXACT claims about the bogus so-called sience they dole out. Blinding ourselves to the facts has costs lives.

  • This video's tag is "The psychiatrist who CURED the scientologist". Psychiatry states point blank that it cannot and does not CURE any mental illness- at best it MIGHT appear to control it, as the final comment states

This error - intended or not sets the stage for this pathetic interview which is more back lash against overwhelming documentation that the FDA is crooked, the pharmacutical industry owns doctors, and medical schools and psychiatry benefits psychiatrists not patients.

  • i heard the title is a double meaning aaron is an artist you wouldn't understand , besides the title says cured the scientologist Get it. You sound like one, so no one cares buddy.

  • You've made many false assumptions. I do care and I am also writing a book about my near death experience with shrinks. People are dying and lives are being distroyed because of these "treatments". Do you care about that? Human beings are complex, so is life. Based on the science, Shrink drugs are largely ineffetive and NOT the answer. Arrons has a right to make an INFORMED decision. He does NOT look well and has "dry mouth" from meds; its his life. I know lots of people who want to be drugged.

  • well thanks at least for "good point" but no one is saying things haven't happened but some ppl would be much worse off if not something done. Near death with shrink explain then. " Aaron doesn't look well haha ok. dry mouth ya so what and hot lights and being nervous what's ur fucking point . He's talking about bipolar disorder and he has all the proof.

  • Seriously?

You don't have to be a scientologist to know that shrinks are quacks. They even have thier own book of pretended 'diosrders' because pathologists (ie real doctors) won't allow that crap in actual medical texts. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM)...no statistics.

Total fraud, but is sure sounds credible doesn't it.....well...that's where it ends.

Listen to the truth from a Professor of Psychiatry, who admits the truth of it all right here on Youtube, Dr. Thomas Szasz

  • Don't act like your not one. I know you are because that video on your profile "Psychiatry the industry of death is for scientologists and the lies in that only scientologists believe hahaa.

  • draziom99 is a scientrollogist.

That is also a mental illness.

  • This is incredible. Aaron Gottfried is doing an amazing public good by telling his story.

  • "The right time"? Oh, you mean at the time when the cult of scientology is imploding into oblivion.

It's over draz. scientology has met the 21st century and the 4th dynamic is kicking it right back into the past. Get well soon.

  • smart and super hottt! good luck aaron, but i don't think you need it.

  • you fail @ life

    LULZ

  • Aaron, good on you, man.

You know what's coming next (fair game), and I wish you all the strength and support to get through it.

    The truth will out.

  • More like INSANE CULT for life.

  • @draziom99: well you've just proven yourself wrong. mental illness obviously exists otherwise you wouldn't have writen that comment...

  • SNAP!

  • LULZ

  • @MSTN0

That's right, writing comments is now a mental illness. Your jaw-dropping stupidity is amazing.

  • So you don't believe in mental illnesses and want psychiatry to be destroyed yet you believe in invisible thetans, the space prince xenu and magical DC-8 spacecrafts that take frozen aliens down to teegeeack...I mean earth. That makes perfect sense.

  • You need to make this book available in Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom.

  • I'm pretty sure you can buy the book in any country online at this point.

  • Sending backup.

Thanks for coming out and sharing your story : )

  • draziom99 needs to be banned for discriminating against the mentally ill.

So does Scientology and I hope there is proof of this in this book.

The Mentally ill and their families need to form a coalition against the crimes of scientology.

  • No No No! People like draziom99 need to be allowed to speak, because in doing so, they reveal just how fucking batshit the acolytes of Scientology really are.

Look at his post. Is that a TRUE BELIEVER or what?

Have you seen his site? CRUISE CONTROL ALL THE WAY. Big red flashing thingies and PSYCH HATE and LUV RON everywhere.

The guy does moar damage to CoS than I ever could!

  • proof?

  • Good luck Aaron--hope your book sells well.

  • You mean the technology created by an insane science fiction writer didn't work for this guy but the medications from a medical doctor did? I am stunned.

Oh, and leave it to some jackass scientologist (talking to you draziom99) to show his/her undying loyalty to a dying cult. Why can't you admit that psychiatry helps some people? Oh wait, maybe because you are a brainwashed tool who actually believes that the CCHR reports the truth. When was the last time you spent some time helping someone?

  • Uh oh my bullshit detector went off. Sorry draziom99 but you need something called PROOF when you make claims like "bipolar disorder doesn't exist." And correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't scientology require thousands of dollars from its members? Ya they clearly aren't in it for the money...

  • Good on this fellow for making a step towards freedom. Kudos to him.

As for Draziom99 saying Bipolar doesn't exist, does the word 'enturbulated' exist?

  • Great video Aaron. Your family is very proud of you and I completely understand why.

  • Scientology is not a "study for truth". It is not the study of anything. It is the death of organized society. It is the chaos disguised as order. The lobotomy of free will and decision making. It is the injustice to the free, and with more books like this coming out will only push the cause further. Have a world or freedom, a world of expression, a world of choice. Do not give in to this cult. They are deception. They are the darkness, they are what is wrong with this world.

  • Interesting and relevant subjects here...mental health and Scientology. I think this guy is for real.

Thanks for letting us into your head...

  • Now Draziom99 Bipolar disorder does exhist. My mother is bipolar. Her moods would go from lows to highs all the time, until she was put on antidipressents and antipsychotics. Then her condition got better. This CULT is wrong for denying people proper treatment for medical conditions. So do not say it doesn't exhist until you live it.

  • The book sounds amazing i can wait to read

it. Hopefully the things that you have indured will be a learning experience for others. Thank you. as far the negative comments Aaron is recieving im sure it doesnt matter the whole book is based on his struggles with peoples attitudes and preception, so as far as a rebutle im sure thats why he wrote the book! Congradulations Aaron.

  • ya ok rondroid 99 as if he doesn't know what he's talking about. He puts his ass on the line and you hide behind hubbards words you pathetic follower

  • this book may be the first true testament as to the condition and struggle manic depression.

  • I have had the chance to read this book and enjoyed it very much. I think everyone can relate to some of the feelings that are in the book and i hope that people grow from the experences that aaron had.

  • I think its great you wrote something that can help people who may feel misunderstood by others who cant relate to what you have gone through. Good job on this accomplishment.

  • Very deep and profound ,sounds like a book that can reach out to those who are in similar situations. Congratualtions Aaron

  • scientology preys on people that have neurological illness. scientology is an evil dangerous cult, write you congress person to revoke their tax free statues.

  • The addiction recovery specialists at Wellspring say that recovering from Scientology is much harder than recovering from heroin.

  • This is a great video overall. I've read his book and it is a really interesting journey.

  • Dynamite

  • Just curious, when did the interview take place,, and what station/network?

  • Thanks for sharing Aaron. 5*****
