  • To be sure, volts are important, but 30 volts is NOT a lot of power. Volts times amps is what you are shooting for. Current for a given RPM is what is important.

  • good luck with everything, you dont sound like a crazy fish farmer, more the kind of smart person the world needs more of ooorahh

  • Do you have any ideas for the fan portion of the windmill? The best ones I've seen are vertical axis mills using squerel cage fans from air conditioners and such. I like this design because it simplifies the hole contraption. There is only one moving part and it works for any wind direction.

  • Yes......vertical axis style is what i will probably build first.... The more i learn the more ideas i keep coming up with... Don't want to reinvent the mills... Just make them better... lol...

  • great idea dude.. i think my styles will d the job..

  • Yes... I am trying to look at all the different designs out there... I like your design... I am looking at different ways air and water are pushed right now... I will be starting soon... But it all has to built with recycled stuff... or all my junk... lol...

  • dont rush, there is alot of info on the web,

    VAWT vs HAWT.

vawts are based on low rpm

hawts can go on high rpm.

  • Run a add in your local news paper or craigslist. Just ask for any broken treadmills for a experiment / project. I did and got 8 or 9 treadmills.
