  • Jerry - Great job and thanks for sharing your work here.

  • @Dave51262 Thanks Dave, Merry Christmas to you!

  • Thats so cool!! I totally wanna give this a try. What did you use to hold the characters up?? Did you use a projector to transfer & trace them onto wood?

  • @ddprince I use an aluminum L shape channel from the local hardware store.

I actually print them out as big images on multiple pieces of paper, tape them together and then use carbon paper to draw them on the wood. It can be done with MS paint in Vista and W7

  • My favorite Beauty and the beast I wish I kne how to make this its so beautiful

  • @mariagdnm they are fairly easy to make, if you can color in a coloring book you can make these.

Send me a message if you want ever want to know how

  • maybe, but it will give you something to do together

  • well you can always make it again

  • I print the image on multiple sheets of paper, tape hem together, then trace it on to the plywood.

When I paint the I clean up the lines

  • Nice work, I like your wood characters.

  • thank you

  • No not exactly but I have seen some post on the forums at forums.planetchristmas(dot)com.

I had to write dot instead of . because youtube won't let you post links here.

Try to use the search bar for cutouts

  • triple a, I hope that's good :-)

  • Very nice work!!!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Ok tody isDec 1 and we are going to put up our Xmas lawn art see if u like it and we will make another one in the day

  • Well actually they were up on Nov. 29. :-)

But I'm not making any new ones this year.

No time and no yard space

  • Oh wait you mean you are going to put up yours, right?

Great I can't wait to see them.

Send me the video when it's up

  • I would love to learn how to do these. Where would I even start?????

  • Hi wocotoc12, thanks for watching!

They are really easy to do, once you have your pattern you just trace, paint between the lines and then highlight the line with a black paint pen.

  • ok ill add u to freinds

  • Hey Jerry i like the characters great job but i dont really like the blue background on them im been making them for at least 3 years and im wondering are they hand painted or stencil and what type of paint are you using. Also i am thinking of airbrushing then this year it may make the process go faster. You really don't see much of this anymore. Keep up the good work and i will post my lawn art in the next few weeks.

DOWN WITH THE AIR BLOWN LAWN ART!

  • @mageymann Thanks!

I'm not very artistic so I print my patterns, trace them and paint between the lines using rustoleum enamel.

    Airbrushing will be really good.

The blue came from a friend who makes signs. His reasoning was cool blue winter air. I use to cut everything out but had issues with breakage and warping due to little surface area. The extra surface needed to be painted and black didn't really work well, gray might.

Let me know when you post yours, I'd love to see them.

    Thanks again

  • are u going to make a how to video . i would be interested? and if not what kind of wood do you use.??

  • You know I keep saying to myself I should, but just haven't go to it.

I use 1/2" exterior plywood for my signs, but I'm seeing many people are starting top use Coroplast (plastic corrugated sheets).

It is lightweight and weathers well but the one I made with it had spots where the paint chipped

  • Each light is like 4 watts and some 7 watts

  • yep those are what I was talking about also, not mine though

  • Floods can give some dramatic effects.

Mine are low voltage Malibu lights not floods

    Thanks

  • Good Job Jerry.I Made Dora the explora and Others,I know how much time go`s in making them.Keep up the Great job!

  • Thank you ogcancer and thanks for stopping by and commenting.

    Happy New Year to you!

  • No but I have the art to make a pattern for it.

Maybe I'll make it this year.

I'm thinking of making young Simba and Nala not adult Simba and Nala. What do you think?

  • PINK! for Princess Aurora's gown ~ you chose my pick! Yea!

  • Pink is my favorite color, well hot pink anyway.

I just wish I had a brighter pink when I painted her. I mix my colors from the basic, red, blue, yellow, black and that was as bright as I could get.

All my signs have been painted by me mixing my own colors.

By the way I have hot pink flames on the side of my pickup.

  • WOW! You certainly put a great deal of time and effort into creating all these these fantastic figures. The detail is amazing!

Ha- I'm impressed with how quickly you prattled off all the character's names! :)

Thanks for giving your fans an intimate look!

  • Thank you so much.

I am most proud of my yard art.

I love Disney and being able to almost re-create them for the kids to see gives me the most pleasure.

  • the quality is amazing! And so are those wooden figures, they look so realistic. Do you have them on 1 channel or 2?

  • Thanks,

I only have one channel on them. I need another controller to finish up what I would like.

    I have 7 now and need 8

  • Wow those are awesome!♥--Hugs and Honey--♥ Brittani aka Rhonda Anthony Tanner/R.A.T. Coaching aka B-RAT :)

  • I can't believe a famous youtuber actually commented on my video, Yippie!!

    Much love to you Brittani
