looks like the left r just pure ignorant...palin did command the alaskan national guard, while not only oversaw 15,000 state employees and a $12 billion budget, she was immersed in the threats facing the US as her state is the first line of defense against rogue ballistic and nuclear weapons that might be fired from North Korea or even russia. she was briefed in our national guard security plans and traveled to Kuwait in support of the Alaska National Guard in 2007. ignorance by the left LOL
@fbi10 Then why didn't the guy say any of this when asked? I don't understand how you accuse "the left" (a rather broad and vague term) of being ignorant when the people defending Palin aren't even answering questions.
@PoliticsStudent1:20 when he answers her ignorant statement, he states what the governor does but somehow this host didn't know that, so yes he did answer...what he didn't answer was the example that she kept interrupting him for...and actually "the left" is perfectly accurate. Now if you didn't know any of this, may i suggest to you to do a little research instead of being ignorant on the subject...
@fbi10 He explained that if Alaska is in a state of emergency, then the governor makes decisions about the national guard. How is that explaining any of what you said? How is that providing an example of what Palin has done? It describes what she could have done or would have done in the scenario, but it says nothing about what she's actually done. His first opportunity to actually provide an example was spent simply talking about how Obama has no experience.
@PoliticsStudent he's explaining exactly what the governor is in charge of in case of an emergency...which is accurate. Well, this one man, who didn't know what she did is not an issue what the issue is the ignorance that this reporter showed by NOT knowing Palin's history in the first place. What this guy did was simply point out that Obama had less experience but yet it didn't come into question from the left...which is fact.
@fbi10 The anchor asked a question. That's her job. The man was a spokesman of some sort for Palin or the campaign, so his job is to answer questions about Palin or the campaign. What the anchor knows is irrelevant; their job is to ask questions so that their guests can impart knowledge.
Obama's experience didn't come into question because the interview was about Palin. This guy was there to answer questions about Palin, not to make assertions about Obama.
@PoliticsStudent yes but it is also her job to stay informed as well and to give a neutrel position but she doesnt...this network didnt, they had an agenda from the get go. What the anchor knows IS relevant because she wouldnt have insisted that the governor doesnt control the national guard of their own state...and wouldnt have asked such an idiotic question. Obama's experience, incomprension to palin, SHOULD come into question because it is relevant here and youre suppose to compare
@fbi10 The anchor doesn't decide what questions are asked. Were you under the impression that she had any choice of what she was supposed to talk about? The only agenda that news agencies have is to make money, and that motive promotes the practice of sensationalizing issues, including Palin's experience. Indeed, taking things into context is important, but you need to establish facts (as in, an example of an order she gave to the ANG) before you can compare. Hence, the question asked.
@PoliticsStudent the anchor doesnt decide the questions?? who does then?? haha riiiiiighhht
They did establish facts...where didnt they do that?? So she didnt control the national guard of alaska?? But thats exactly why the question is so dumb in the first place...if you dont know that the Governor of Alaska is the "ex officio commander" of the national guard, you have no business asking for "examples" of what she did...that's just ignorant. Bottom line, she was in charge.
@fbi10 Seriously? You think that the anchor (who is, essentially, a talking head) decides what questions to ask? You think it's merely a coincidence that media outlets are significantly coordinated in the messages that they deliver? Does none of this cause you to question?
The question was not whether Palin was commander of the national guard, but what she DID as commander. Her comments about being close to Russia prompted questioning into exactly how she spent her time.
@PoliticsStudent You still haven't told me WHO told her to ask that question...a name? Yes i did see that and have you heard of the journolist that this anchor is part of?
Again, ignorance...did the anchor not state "no governor makes decisions about how to equipe or deploy the national guard.."?? The anchor didn't know that she actually does...
Palin's statement that just being "close" to Russia gave her national experience in dealing with the Bomber runs by Russia is factual.
@fbi10 When you say "the left is perfectly accurate", what in the world is that supposed to mean? I challenged your usage of the term because it is vague, and you simply respond saying that it is accurate? That doesn't make sense. You have the opportunity to explain what you mean when you use a vague term, and you respond with a non sequitur.
@PoliticsStudent it was a typo, sorry you couldn't figure that out..."inaccurate". No i responded with a typo lol!! This person that is defending palin (defending from what, actually?? what is the argument? that she has no experience?) didn't know from the top of his head some things he should have known, like the russian bomber runs for example, and that's sad. However, that still doesn't change the fact the experience she had as governor and prior to her governorship.
@fbi10 Changing "accurate" to "inaccurate" makes even less sense. It doesn't address what I said at all. Do you not understand what "vague" means?
By your own admission, then, it was this guy that was ignorant, and not "the left". He was asked a question and clearly didn't have an answer. Or is he a member of "the left"?
@PoliticsStudent no it makes perfect sense. Yes i do understand what vague means and "left" is perfectly discriptive of cnn and the rest of the mainstream networks, what dont you understand? What i was saying in the reporters case, calling her ignorant, was the fact that she DIDNT know what the governor is in charge with (national guard of their proper state) and the fact this man, tucker bounds, a spokesman for the campaign, didnt know what she did is more on the McCain campaign. The left was
cont: the left was inaccurate and ignorant in depicting Palin, and this pure example of left ignorance on the reporters part in not knowing what the governor actually does. No hes not a member of the "left" but this reporter is a perfect an example of one. But again, its ashame that this guy didnt answer, in detail, what she did but thats not on Palins time, thats on the campaign and how they prepared.
@fbi10 Once again, you attribute ignorance to a reporter that is merely asking a question -- one not even chosen by her, as I've already explained. And once again, you use an empty term, and each time you use it the meaning becomes even more obscure. The only meaning that you've attributed the term, ignorance, could also be applied to the Palin spokesperson, but you claim he isn't "left", which makes the term seem incongruent.
@PoliticsStudent No it was chosen by her, she is the reporter for that network. If she didnt choose that question (which is a strawman anyway), then the network is ignorant as well. This guy wasnt a "Palin spokesperson" but was a spokesperson for the campaign in general. No, the term is perfectly legit but you just seem to not understand it from the obivious lack of comprehension skills to the english language...
@fbi10 It's ironic that you would question my English skills. Regardless, I think I'm done here. Anyone that stops to read can see there is a clear divide in knowledge and understanding between you and I.
@PoliticsStudent LOL the whole english grammar crap was brought up by you when you couldn't even provide a rebuttal...but that's fine...apparently you can "ditch out" but can't take it haha
There was no debate, you didn't even provide what was the problem here. I already stated that it was ashame that tucker didn't know Palin's history but the fact that this liberal anchor didn't even know that Palin was actually the commander of the ANG is embarrassing.
@fbi10 Given your poor English skills, I'm not surprised that you can't understand how your response was a non sequitur. What I'm saying is the phrase "the left" does not describe anything; you're saying that these networks are "left", but that doesn't say anything about what the content produced on the network because it's an empty term.
@PoliticsStudent Poor english skills?? when did this become an english course? LOL
"Left" or even "liberal" would be perfectly correct for describing these networks. It is not an empty term but an accurate way to describe CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC etc...2008 and last week are perfect examples as to why they are indeed to the "left", to say otherwise, is foolish and ignorant...but please continue LOL
@fbi10 Last I checked, you need to have an understanding of English to have a debate. If you can't understand how your own sentences don't make sense (as they don't), then we (re: you) have a communication problem.
"Left" means nothing. The word liberal has also lost meaning, considering the wide variety of ways in which it is used and considering what the actual meaning is. Care to provide any evidence that supports your assertion here?
@PoliticsStudent Oh my English is perfectly fine. However, your reading comprehension is questionable specially when you can't even answer a simple question. However, if you can't even properly rebuttal, then you have no business debating in the first place.
"Left" does mean something. Have you heard of the Journolist? Well, lets see here: How about the "holy war" lie that they spread, Bailout about health care lie, and how about the Ayers-obama issue was in fact an none-issue. what else? LOL
@fbi10 The 49th Missile Defense Battalion, located at Fort Greely, AK, is not under the command of the Governor of Alaska. Rather it is under the command of the base commander of the 100th Missile Defense Battalion in Colorado. So Palin was in charge (sort of) the regular guard units in Alaska, but was not in charge of the "first line of defense", nor was she briefed on its operations.
@tgear77 Governor Palin was the commander n chief of the ANG and manned key elements of the U.S. missile defense system at Ft. Greely.according to Major General Campbell, she did a great job. She was briefed on classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism operations like all governors do. The 49th missile defense is apart of the 100th missile defense battalion with the alaskan national guard man the battalion. She was commander of the Alaskan State Defense Force aswell.
@fbi10 The 49th is not manned by the Alaskan National Guard. Although it is located at Ft. Greely, which does contain a Guard element, the 49th is staffed by soldiers from across the country. It is under the command of the 100th and whoever is the current commander of that is also the commander of the 49th. Yes, the governor of Alaska receives the same briefings as other governors, but the Alaskan Governor does not get the briefings from the 49th. This isn't anti-Palin; no Alaska governor does.
@tgear77 The 100th missile defense brigade at Colorado springs is composed of full time Colorado army national guardsmen and a contingent of active army soldiers. The 49th Missile defense battalion in Alaska, however, IS manned exclusively by active Alaska army national guardsmen, according to Major Laura Kenney, who is in the 100th MDG. Palin received briefings on the events that occurred with the 49th and other national guard events. Oh i know it's not anti-palin, don't trip, but she did...
@fbi10 According to the US Dept. of Defense (and I will take their word over yours), the 110 members of the Alaska National Guard that make up the 49th come from all across the US. At the high point, the station held Guardsmen from 46 different states. Only the best of the best can become a GMD operator, after AIT at Ft. Bliss and then training with the 100th in CO. Once they pass and are assigned to Greely, they become members of the Alaskan NG. But they are not Alaskans.
@tgear77 this was never about my word...i am simply repeating to you what the US department of states. Now according to the army website, the 49th is a branch that is manned by the alaska army national guard : The 49th is part, all 200, of the alaska army national guard...i never stated that they were born and bread ALASKANS...i stated, again, from my previous post that they are part of the alaska army national guard...which you just said yourself.
@fbi10 Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, the 49th is considered part of the AK NG, but unlike all other units, it is not filled out by Alaskan citizens. It falls under the command of the 100th in CO, which means that Palin and all other Alaskan Governors have no say in its use or deployment. All decisions involving the 49th come from the 100th and the Pentagon.
@tgear77 np no worries. I never stated that the 49th is filled with alaskan citizens however you are free to show me where, if i did. We already said that the 49th is part of the 100th in CO, and i never stated that she had a say in our national deployment or use but again, like i said, the troops that man the 49th are part of the AK army national guard...which she commanded as governor. Again, i never said she made decisions directly to the 49th but she was breifed on them and their events.
Republicans have NO leadership now. It is really sad...
They are resorting to "double talk" and obfuscation. We thought we had gotten rid of Sarah Palin in 2008, but she is back with her TEABAGS in tow. We will have to get rid of her again...but much like cockroaches...she'll probably be back yet again.
you can't fix 8 years of bush/cheny in one year, it'll work, it needs time. Bush had two terms to destroy this country, it will take atleast one term and an act of god to fix all that.
OMFG like if obama has ever even made any decisions! its a fact that alaska has a higher risk than us to be attacked or threatened by russia! which is a pretty good possibility! palin has by far more experience than obama in many areas, starting by having reponsibily over people and governing them! being governor is just on step under from being president! all of our previous presidents after kenndey have been governors! so saying she has no experience is utterly ridiculus!
Fifty thousand? what kind of shitty school do you think he went to? I spent my parents paid over 80 grand on my education and we are not "rich" or "number ones" But we do know that Obama was the not experienced enough for the presidency.
My experience... good organizations attack problems to rectify them and effect a just result.
phony organizations, any organization dominated by rich white fascist gloryhogs.. attack problems in secret to protect the good ole boys and to slice the throats of any and all threats to their existence as human maggots
Now we are talking about falsification of fact in relation to medical data by the good ol US Army.
My experience with the national guard in Utah is that it's a high priced method to aggrandize mormons and right wing suckasses.
No professionalism, no honor.. If you join it to make more money... you had better hope to be related to the dirtbags who have control, or you'd better hope that God blesses you with the ability to avoid getting sent into harms way a dozen times to support the full time .
He keeps babbling about military experience, but doesn't even give one example. On top of that, the US doesn't need a military commander. Sheesh, there are enough in the Pentagon and we are not living in the Cold War anymore. Russia is not a threat. What the US needs is someone who can solve the internal problems in the US, what the US needs is a legislator, someone who knows about laws and how to use them. And who wouldn't vote for a legislator graduated with honours. Be smart and vote Obama.
... This IS a joke, right? Please tell me this isn't the sort of political news Americans see on the telly... it's a skit... no one put on tv by a party would be that clueless... repeating themselves like that.
But what is so STRANGE about OLD MAN MCCAIN picking this quintessential bimbo Sarah Palin for V.P. in order to "sucker" former Hillary supporters, is the fact that:
It was Sarah Palin who called both Hillary and Hillary Supporters "WHINERS" after Super Tuesday back in February 2008.
The irony, Sarah Palin INSULTS Hillary and her supporters, then turns around and asks for their support. HAAHAHAHA!
Any way you spin it, slice it or dice it, Palin has more executive responsibility/experience than Obama has ever had. McCain has more leadership skills than Obama has ever had (remember, the dude is a JUNIOR Senator). Palin really seems to have pushed some buttons in you silly democrats.
You're living in deniel, guy. Any rational person would look at Palin as an embarrasement to their respective party. Palin is the worse pick in the history of politics just for the reason that it works to the ADVANTAGE of the democrates everytime she speaks LOL.... anyway you spin it, slice it or dice it, that is the truth.
Ha ha ha ha ha. Tucker is such a f@#$ing idiot. What a stooge. I wonder how that guy gets out of bed in the morning. Forest said "Stupid is as Stupid does!"
Im telling you tucker bounds should be a stand up comedian. I love how he keeps a straight face while blatantly lying about everything, that really takes skill.
I LOVE Campbell Brown! She knows how to put the Republicans on the spot....and she's only trying to get an HONEST answer out of them...and they can't seem to answer her! She's awesome....go Campbell!!!!
Unfortunately, as of January 2007, the White House no longer needs to call governors to deploy their state's National Guard during natural or man-made disasters. Or, in other words, the White House does not need, and most likely won't, call the Governor's office when it really counts.
Sara Palin became Governor in December of 2006 and is, in reality, not in charge of Alaska's National Guard... She, and every other governor, are merely manning the fort until something major happens. Thank you
Campbell is an idiot. On 9.11.01, who did the President contact first? The head of the FBI, the VP, and the GOVERNOR of NY. And why was the Governor one of the first 3 contacts that he made? Because the GOVERNOR CAN DEPLOY THE NATIONAL GUARD! Get your facts straight you liberal moron.
The Governor can deploy the National Guard to act within the State boundaries to deal with situation germaine to that state. The Governor of any state can not deploy troops overseas. No matter how you spin it, when the Alaskan National Guard troops were called up to Iraq, they immediately fell under the purview of the Pentagon. Get your facts straight please.
Can you tell me that Campbell Brown is a BITCH! Campbell, she did not steal your husband, but you are acting like it! Sarah is the best thing to come along in this election. Dont go to qualifications of President when a dud like Nobama is running, he is nothing but a hot air teleprompter reader...zero experience for the job! Be nice Campbell, your husband is safe although the way you are acting, on TV no less, I would not blame him for finding someone else from seeing your bitch mode!
As an Israeli, Tucker's rhetoric reminds me of the rhetoric of a past Prime Minister we had here, named Benjamin Netanyahu. This man used to avoid answering the questions, subverting them to attack the opponent's alleged incompetence, and if the journalist persists he would go on to say something like Tucker did "surely you're not belittling... etc.". the fact is the the Republicans don't have answers in this campaign. All they do is divert the answers to personal attacks regardless of question.
Do you notice how the neocons have to resort to the vulgar name calling? If you don't buy into their uneducated Fox news propaganda they go for the throat.
Anyone who thinks that Palin is more qualified than Obama is not only an assclown but a hypocritical idiot speaking out of both sides of their mouth. It's so obvious that morals and truth don't weigh much on the Palin supporters. Good for Bristol finding her true REDNECK lover. At least a shotgun wedding won't be unusual to his kind.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I think Palin is more qualified than Obama. She has led a city, she has led a state, she beat two incumbents and one former governor, and she took on corruption. Barack Obama has never led anything, has never showed any political courage to stand up to his party, and has never taken on corruption. Please explain to all of us how exactly Palin is not more qualified than Obama?
I'm not willing to take a chance on change - that's why I am voting McCain!!
The Democratic ticket has as much or more experience than W or Ron Reagan did when they entered office. But don't worry: the haters will ensure the goosestepping GOP is once again elected.
Actually, the Democratic ticket does not have as much or more experience than W or Ron Reagan. You see, both of them were governors - they each led a state. When has Obama or Biden ever led an organization, much less a state? There is no hating going on here - just simple logic. Please explain what you mean by the Democratic ticket has as much or more experience than W, Reagan, (Clinton by your standards), or McCain/Palin?
Palin is open to having creationism taught in our public, and thinks that humans are contributing to global warming; as such, she is not part of the scientific community and not fit to lead the US in the fight against
global warming, one of the most serious threats we face.
NoPalinista Correct, and she tried to get books banned from the library because she didn't like the language. Wow! That is scary! And they talk about liberals being socialists. We need to pay attention to the facist leanings here. The Right are the ones messing with our constitution, and lying to us!
Sarah Palin is a narrow minded vindictive extremist who uses her power to mow down her adversaries. She ignored Alaskans who voted down the horrific aerial wolf slaughter twice, reworded it so Yes meant No and got it passed to please her self serving needs. (Big game hunting $). She throws everyone under the bus, even old friends, if they become unpopular. She has never traveled abroad and would be a devastating mess if depended upon for military decisions. FEDS got into AK corruption, not her
Neither the interviewer nor the spokesmen knew much about what they were talking about. Apparently neither knew the Governor Palin ordered a transport aircraft, supplies and troops to Louisiana to assist during Hurricane Gustav. The National Guard IS under command of the Governor except and until released to federal control.
adfiller Funny isn't it when Obama had Tim Kaine Gov of Virgina on his short list Karl Rove raked him over the coals for lack of experience. Check out the Jon Stewart video. Kaine was mayor of Richmond with 200,000 people, Lt. Governor and then Governor. Rove claimed it was would be an "intensly political choice" if Obama chose him to run. Now he raves about Palin! It's called talking out of both sides of their mouths.... what the neocons are clearly good at along with their bold face lies.
O'Reilly pushed Obama and Obama finally admitted that he was WRONG in Iraq. He admitted that the SURGE WORKED. Barack Obama was wrong, John McCain was right!
John McCain still has far more experience than Barack Obama.
Obama stated the surge worked not just because the increased amount of troops but because the sunni population in iraq has started to resist al quida as long with other factors. However bill o'reilly stated that obama was right that iraq was the wrong battle field. Also palin does not have more experience then obama explain to me what she has actually done and where her experience comes from
If we had listened to Obama we would have retreated from Iraq and lost the middle east. We would have a defeated America and made terrorists the victors. Yes, other factors came into play but only because we increased our presense there and gave the Sunnis trust that we could be counted on.
Palin does have more experience. She has led a town and led a state. Obama has never led anything, in his life. If elected, Obama would be the first one since the 1820s to be elected without leadership exp.
You mean if we listened to him as an Illinois state senator who's constituency was anti-war? The guy who said right after his speech that if he were privy to Senate intelligence that he may have voted for the war - if he been in a position to vote?
How about if we listened to Obama when he wanted to retreat out of Iraq? Iraq today would be a pool of genocide and Iran would be controlling Iraq and the Persian Gulf which controls 40% of the world's oil supply. Don't buy the bull- start thinking.
Remember Colonel MacFarland said most of the Anbar progress occurred between June 2006 and February 2007, months before the first surge troops even arrived. The Anbar Awakening one of the most crucial turning points in the war. For McCain to falsely claim that The Surge was responsible for it is rank dishonesty and a blatant attempt to re-write history. The Iraqis were paid $10day not to kill the invaders. There were 80,000 of them. That's $800,000/day to prop up General Petraous.
That's funny, because the Iraqi government has said that it was the surge which allowed them to go on the offensive, deal with Sadr, and with the terrorists in Anbar that allowed them to turn it around. Hmm... you Obama supporters will do anything to see us fail for Obama to win - and even if we don't fail, you'll try to make it sound as if we have. You people are pathetic.
abuehler That is completely untrue. You Bush/McCain supporters never seem to learn the lesson!! duh! Hell yes Obama should win. We are not stupid. My God just look at McCains voting record and the condition of this country, and tell me he isnt another Bush! LOL Excuse me, you are the pathetic and uneducated one here. Neocons do not educate themselves, they get talked to and buy it, it is that simple, otherwise Bush would never have been elected. Move over and let us fix your mess as usual!
What did I say that is untrue, please tell me. Please tell us what I said that wasn't completely true? How is McCain the same as Bush? Why did Kerry want him to be his running mate in 2004 against Bush - does that sound like just like Bush? Why did McCain go against Bush on numerous issues? Why did McCain attack Bush over the management of Iraq? You are an idiot, you are completely ignorant of the facts.
abuehler97 Part of the interview by Tim Russert was left out, thats whats wrong with it! "I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports. ... What would I have done? I don't know,' in terms of how you would have voted on the war." Russert did not quote the very next sentence of Obama's statement, which was, "What I know is that from my vantage point the case was not made" for authorizing the war.
abuehler McCain once attempted to change parties. He is a flip flopper. He is like Bush as I said to you before, he voted right down the line with him. LOOK AT HIS VOTING RECORD. He has flipped on issues only since running for president. It was popular to go against Bush on the war since it became an unpopular war. He picked a VP for political reasons and did the same with his voting. You need to do the research instead of me doing it for you!
I have, you are distorting it. When did McCain attempt to change parties - no one would have stopped him. He was however being courted to be Kerry's running mate in 2004 which indicates his independence. He also got the 2000 Democratic VP nominee as a supporter. Independence. He went against Bush 10% of the time. Obama only went against his party 3% of the time. He pushed for the surge which was very unpopular. You need to do some research and stop lying.
abuehler97 You are nuts! He was doing it for political reasons since he was not well liked in his party! He does not get along with anyone! Your stats do not make sense. McCain is Pub. who supported the unpopular policies of an unpopular pres. If Obama went against party lines 3% and McLame supported Bush 90% guess who did the best job?? duh There you go again with name calling. It's not my fault your research is limited to only right wing propaganda. Mine are unbiased facts.
You people hate Bush. You also hated Reagan. You mostly just hate. McCain and Obama voted the same way 90% of the time. What does that prove? Most of them are "here" votes.
Anyone with half a brain knows McCain opposed the administration on spending, torture, the way the war was prosecuted. He wanted Rumsfield to resign and was for campaign reform. On a lot of the big issues he is his own man, like him or not. His nickname is "Maverick" you know.
Duh, you don't understand what independent means do you? Obama is afraid to go against his base - McCain has done it his entire career because he puts his country before his political career. If Obama were half the man that McCain was I wouldn't be so fearful of him. But Obama wants to lose the war in Iraq, let Al Qaeda win, and tank the economy so long as he becomes President.
abuelhler97 Either I'm a liar or I have no clue. LOL Name calling isnt working! McCain changed his stand on several issues for political purposes, auto immission standards, generic drugs made more widespread, tax cuts for the wealthy corporates, abortion, drilling, more federal employees in charge of airport security instead of private. Obama wants out of the war, to help our depleting economy and infrastructure. Americans and Iraquis want us out! Iraqs are fine with their $57 bill reserves.
Your showing your dumbness in suggesting McCain attempted to switch parties. How can anyone even take you seriously when you make such ridiculous statements?
I never said he tried to switch parties, I said that the Democrats wanted him to join the Kerry ticket in 2004 and many people were pushing for it. Obviously, McCain wanted to win the war so he didn't, but that doesn't take away from the fact that many people were pushing it (like Hagel this year). My point is that this shows that McCain is hardly a "typical" Republican as Obama wants us to believe. Also, the 2000 Democratic VP nominee Lieberman is one of McCain's biggest supporters.
abuehler97 He was unpopular as a Repub because he didnt do what they expected, that is why Kerry liked him, whom I didn't vote for btw...in hopes of getting some pub votes and independants. Get off the win crap about the war. Talk about McCain voting to go into that mess. McCain changes his position with the wind and that is why he cannot be trusted to take a stand by either party. It is all politics with him not a belief system! He proved it by Palin. Did you say Lieberman, barf?
LOL LOL another misinformed neocon. Check your history adfiller. He most certainly did considered changing parties. You, I believe, just made a fool of yourself, because it is absolutely true! You people are so superficious...real men love sara? That is so impressive for her qualifications... Ad - VP job wanted. Have killed moose, 5 kids, 1 husband and governor for 22 months of about 600,000 when not hunting and fishing and working to help Alaska succeed from the union!
pardon me I am not a dude! NO you ASSUME I have no sources adfiller! Why bother with someone who chooses to deny them no matter what I provide. I suggest YOU do some research instead of debate here. By denying what I've said you obviously have not done any unbiased research. Just go into Google and have at it! Btw she attended meetings for independance and also wished them good luck in their efforts. Fact! You look it up! I wouldn't think of bothering you any longer with my drival. LOL
adfiller Once again, I suggest to delve a little deeper into your research. But anyone who calls global warming "junk science" is not interested in facts anyway. Did it ever occur to you that working on alternative fuels, on every level will create jobs here in the U.S.? And in case you haven't noticed jobs have already gone south. 605,000 lost this year, 84,000 in August. I talk like a dude? Why because I can discuss politics? How sexist is that! LOL dude, thats a first!
You're right. They are wrong. Palin is more fit to be President than Obama is to be Vice President. The thing is Obama is running for President and Palin is running for VP. Only an idiot Obama supporter would argue about Palin's experience when it just opens everyone's eyes to how pathetic Obama is. I can't wait until they attack Palin's church from 2001, so that we can all talk about Obama's racist Trinity church through 2008!
abuehler97 You bet antiwar. Antiwar with a country we had no business invading in the first place! Wise up! He never said that he might have voted for the war!! Retreat out of Iraq?? Well tell you what, it wasn't just Obama, 2/3 of Americans want us out, I guess that says it all!
abuehler97 Hahahaha where are you getting this crap? Fox news?? Iraq is capable of handling the weakened Al Qa'ida. You are buying into more scare tactics in order to keep the myth going! It was Iran that mediated a ceasefire on the Baghdad government's terms. It was Iran which pressured the Mahdi Army's leader, Muqtada al-Sadr, to call his man off the streets. Do your homework!!
Do you know anything about Iraq? Iraq is not capable of handling Al Qaeda, but thanks to McCain's surge we are getting there. Iraq now controls 11 of 18 provinces, but not all of them! Glad you love Iran idiot, they are trying to control Iraq. Do you think that is a good thing? Have you ever been to the Middle East? Have you ever talked to any Iraqis? Have you spoken to senior military officers? You sound like an idiot who listens only to MSNBC and lying Obama.
abuehler97 Yes as a matter of fact I do have 2 Iraqi friends and one close friend from Iran. FYI I get my information in many places, yours obviously from FAUX News. Have you ever tried researching online in unbiased, independant sources? I do! You might try it since your thinking is pretty narrow minded indeed. Furthermore I do not get my info from Obama since he isn't running that mess over there. The best thing you can do for yourself is learn to think beyond what is being told to you.
abuehler97 With $57 bill. in their reserves Iraq is in good shape. The Shias are coming out the winners. Shias make up 60 per cent of the Iraqi population, and the Sunni Arabs and the Kurds are each about 20 per cent. Mr Maliki leads a Shia-Kurdish government in which the most powerful element is the Shia religious parties. You need to do the thinking! It wasn't the surge it was the $10a day/Anbar awakening that did it. WE DIDN'T NEED TO LOSE OVER 4000 OF OUR YOUNG PEOPLE OVER OIL!
Palin lead a town of less then 9,000 people and was governer for what 7 months. Obama was a community organizer and has organized people to strike and community out reach programs handling more then 12,ooo people. So he does have some leadership exp
More lies coming from Obama supporters. Palin was a Governor for two years - longer than Obama has been in the Senate considering he has been running for President for the past two years. Obama was never in charge of anything or anyone as a community organizer. Palin was in charge of a state (which happens to have the largest area, the most natural resources, and the only one which borders multiple countries). She had a multi-billion budget, a few multi-billion more than Obama ever had.
abuehler97 You seem awfully anxious to call anyone who disagrees with you a liar here. NoPalinista is correct re comments about Palin. Name calling and twisting facts, that is the MO of neocons. Go to some video forum where everyone agrees with you!
This video has been debunked. Campbell Brown is the idiot. Watch the Maj. General from The Alaska National guard answer this question. Brown is a loser. GO PALIN!
adfiller...yeah right. You guys would stick with these idiots if she turned out to have a swiss back account with procceds of that jet she took credit for selling. Sure, Campbell was so wrong that McCain cancelled his interview with Larry King because of it!! In his case when the going gets tough the tough get going! These cry babies are so spoiled by being interviewed by the likes of Hannity and O'Reilly, they're out there trying to rewrite freedom of the press with the real journalists. LOL
Palin is a puppet..she reads a good speech (written by Bush speech writer) but won't answer questions..McCain camp is hiding her..I guess she's studying how to be VP..since she doesn't know what a VP does.
I'm sure you've seen the clip if not search (Palin VP does)
OK. So she doesn't have foreign policy experience. She's #2 on the ticket. What foreign policy experience does Barack Obama really have and he's the #1 on that ticket. Experience in foreign policy has become a none issue by vurtue of the big money media not asking these same tuff questions of Mr. Obama.
Obama is on the foriegn relations committee..3years briefed on issues facing this country from abroad..she has ZERO..just got a passport for the first time in her life in 2007..Gov. for 18 months of a state population 650,000. thats smaller than most cities..give me a break
Obama has commanded nothing and made no decisions. Check out my video response for example of leadership. This stupid woman does not realize know who controls the National Guard, What a dolt. I guess she should get half credit for "trying" to represent.
that dude sounds like gay robot
zmerrill92 9 months ago
looks like the left r just pure ignorant...palin did command the alaskan national guard, while not only oversaw 15,000 state employees and a $12 billion budget, she was immersed in the threats facing the US as her state is the first line of defense against rogue ballistic and nuclear weapons that might be fired from North Korea or even russia. she was briefed in our national guard security plans and traveled to Kuwait in support of the Alaska National Guard in 2007. ignorance by the left LOL
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 Then why didn't the guy say any of this when asked? I don't understand how you accuse "the left" (a rather broad and vague term) of being ignorant when the people defending Palin aren't even answering questions.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent 1:20 when he answers her ignorant statement, he states what the governor does but somehow this host didn't know that, so yes he did answer...what he didn't answer was the example that she kept interrupting him for...and actually "the left" is perfectly accurate. Now if you didn't know any of this, may i suggest to you to do a little research instead of being ignorant on the subject...
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 He explained that if Alaska is in a state of emergency, then the governor makes decisions about the national guard. How is that explaining any of what you said? How is that providing an example of what Palin has done? It describes what she could have done or would have done in the scenario, but it says nothing about what she's actually done. His first opportunity to actually provide an example was spent simply talking about how Obama has no experience.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent he's explaining exactly what the governor is in charge of in case of an emergency...which is accurate. Well, this one man, who didn't know what she did is not an issue what the issue is the ignorance that this reporter showed by NOT knowing Palin's history in the first place. What this guy did was simply point out that Obama had less experience but yet it didn't come into question from the left...which is fact.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 The anchor asked a question. That's her job. The man was a spokesman of some sort for Palin or the campaign, so his job is to answer questions about Palin or the campaign. What the anchor knows is irrelevant; their job is to ask questions so that their guests can impart knowledge.
Obama's experience didn't come into question because the interview was about Palin. This guy was there to answer questions about Palin, not to make assertions about Obama.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent yes but it is also her job to stay informed as well and to give a neutrel position but she doesnt...this network didnt, they had an agenda from the get go. What the anchor knows IS relevant because she wouldnt have insisted that the governor doesnt control the national guard of their own state...and wouldnt have asked such an idiotic question. Obama's experience, incomprension to palin, SHOULD come into question because it is relevant here and youre suppose to compare
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 The anchor doesn't decide what questions are asked. Were you under the impression that she had any choice of what she was supposed to talk about? The only agenda that news agencies have is to make money, and that motive promotes the practice of sensationalizing issues, including Palin's experience. Indeed, taking things into context is important, but you need to establish facts (as in, an example of an order she gave to the ANG) before you can compare. Hence, the question asked.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent the anchor doesnt decide the questions?? who does then?? haha riiiiiighhht
They did establish facts...where didnt they do that?? So she didnt control the national guard of alaska?? But thats exactly why the question is so dumb in the first place...if you dont know that the Governor of Alaska is the "ex officio commander" of the national guard, you have no business asking for "examples" of what she did...that's just ignorant. Bottom line, she was in charge.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 Seriously? You think that the anchor (who is, essentially, a talking head) decides what questions to ask? You think it's merely a coincidence that media outlets are significantly coordinated in the messages that they deliver? Does none of this cause you to question?
The question was not whether Palin was commander of the national guard, but what she DID as commander. Her comments about being close to Russia prompted questioning into exactly how she spent her time.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent You still haven't told me WHO told her to ask that question...a name? Yes i did see that and have you heard of the journolist that this anchor is part of?
Again, ignorance...did the anchor not state "no governor makes decisions about how to equipe or deploy the national guard.."?? The anchor didn't know that she actually does...
Palin's statement that just being "close" to Russia gave her national experience in dealing with the Bomber runs by Russia is factual.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 When you say "the left is perfectly accurate", what in the world is that supposed to mean? I challenged your usage of the term because it is vague, and you simply respond saying that it is accurate? That doesn't make sense. You have the opportunity to explain what you mean when you use a vague term, and you respond with a non sequitur.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent it was a typo, sorry you couldn't figure that out..."inaccurate". No i responded with a typo lol!! This person that is defending palin (defending from what, actually?? what is the argument? that she has no experience?) didn't know from the top of his head some things he should have known, like the russian bomber runs for example, and that's sad. However, that still doesn't change the fact the experience she had as governor and prior to her governorship.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 Changing "accurate" to "inaccurate" makes even less sense. It doesn't address what I said at all. Do you not understand what "vague" means?
By your own admission, then, it was this guy that was ignorant, and not "the left". He was asked a question and clearly didn't have an answer. Or is he a member of "the left"?
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent no it makes perfect sense. Yes i do understand what vague means and "left" is perfectly discriptive of cnn and the rest of the mainstream networks, what dont you understand? What i was saying in the reporters case, calling her ignorant, was the fact that she DIDNT know what the governor is in charge with (national guard of their proper state) and the fact this man, tucker bounds, a spokesman for the campaign, didnt know what she did is more on the McCain campaign. The left was
fbi10 1 year ago
cont: the left was inaccurate and ignorant in depicting Palin, and this pure example of left ignorance on the reporters part in not knowing what the governor actually does. No hes not a member of the "left" but this reporter is a perfect an example of one. But again, its ashame that this guy didnt answer, in detail, what she did but thats not on Palins time, thats on the campaign and how they prepared.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 Once again, you attribute ignorance to a reporter that is merely asking a question -- one not even chosen by her, as I've already explained. And once again, you use an empty term, and each time you use it the meaning becomes even more obscure. The only meaning that you've attributed the term, ignorance, could also be applied to the Palin spokesperson, but you claim he isn't "left", which makes the term seem incongruent.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent No it was chosen by her, she is the reporter for that network. If she didnt choose that question (which is a strawman anyway), then the network is ignorant as well. This guy wasnt a "Palin spokesperson" but was a spokesperson for the campaign in general. No, the term is perfectly legit but you just seem to not understand it from the obivious lack of comprehension skills to the english language...
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 It's ironic that you would question my English skills. Regardless, I think I'm done here. Anyone that stops to read can see there is a clear divide in knowledge and understanding between you and I.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent LOL the whole english grammar crap was brought up by you when you couldn't even provide a rebuttal...but that's fine...apparently you can "ditch out" but can't take it haha
There was no debate, you didn't even provide what was the problem here. I already stated that it was ashame that tucker didn't know Palin's history but the fact that this liberal anchor didn't even know that Palin was actually the commander of the ANG is embarrassing.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 Given your poor English skills, I'm not surprised that you can't understand how your response was a non sequitur. What I'm saying is the phrase "the left" does not describe anything; you're saying that these networks are "left", but that doesn't say anything about what the content produced on the network because it's an empty term.
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent Poor english skills?? when did this become an english course? LOL
"Left" or even "liberal" would be perfectly correct for describing these networks. It is not an empty term but an accurate way to describe CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC etc...2008 and last week are perfect examples as to why they are indeed to the "left", to say otherwise, is foolish and ignorant...but please continue LOL
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 Last I checked, you need to have an understanding of English to have a debate. If you can't understand how your own sentences don't make sense (as they don't), then we (re: you) have a communication problem.
"Left" means nothing. The word liberal has also lost meaning, considering the wide variety of ways in which it is used and considering what the actual meaning is. Care to provide any evidence that supports your assertion here?
PoliticsStudent 1 year ago
@PoliticsStudent Oh my English is perfectly fine. However, your reading comprehension is questionable specially when you can't even answer a simple question. However, if you can't even properly rebuttal, then you have no business debating in the first place.
"Left" does mean something. Have you heard of the Journolist? Well, lets see here: How about the "holy war" lie that they spread, Bailout about health care lie, and how about the Ayers-obama issue was in fact an none-issue. what else? LOL
fbi10 1 year ago
cont: oh excuse my grammar LOL...
"...issue which was in fact an "non-issue"...

@fbi10 The 49th Missile Defense Battalion, located at Fort Greely, AK, is not under the command of the Governor of Alaska. Rather it is under the command of the base commander of the 100th Missile Defense Battalion in Colorado. So Palin was in charge (sort of) the regular guard units in Alaska, but was not in charge of the "first line of defense", nor was she briefed on its operations.
tgear77 1 year ago
@tgear77 Governor Palin was the commander n chief of the ANG and manned key elements of the U.S. missile defense system at Ft. Greely.according to Major General Campbell, she did a great job. She was briefed on classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism operations like all governors do. The 49th missile defense is apart of the 100th missile defense battalion with the alaskan national guard man the battalion. She was commander of the Alaskan State Defense Force aswell.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 The 49th is not manned by the Alaskan National Guard. Although it is located at Ft. Greely, which does contain a Guard element, the 49th is staffed by soldiers from across the country. It is under the command of the 100th and whoever is the current commander of that is also the commander of the 49th. Yes, the governor of Alaska receives the same briefings as other governors, but the Alaskan Governor does not get the briefings from the 49th. This isn't anti-Palin; no Alaska governor does.
tgear77 1 year ago
@tgear77 The 100th missile defense brigade at Colorado springs is composed of full time Colorado army national guardsmen and a contingent of active army soldiers. The 49th Missile defense battalion in Alaska, however, IS manned exclusively by active Alaska army national guardsmen, according to Major Laura Kenney, who is in the 100th MDG. Palin received briefings on the events that occurred with the 49th and other national guard events. Oh i know it's not anti-palin, don't trip, but she did...
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 According to the US Dept. of Defense (and I will take their word over yours), the 110 members of the Alaska National Guard that make up the 49th come from all across the US. At the high point, the station held Guardsmen from 46 different states. Only the best of the best can become a GMD operator, after AIT at Ft. Bliss and then training with the 100th in CO. Once they pass and are assigned to Greely, they become members of the Alaskan NG. But they are not Alaskans.
tgear77 1 year ago
@tgear77 this was never about my word...i am simply repeating to you what the US department of states. Now according to the army website, the 49th is a branch that is manned by the alaska army national guard : The 49th is part, all 200, of the alaska army national guard...i never stated that they were born and bread ALASKANS...i stated, again, from my previous post that they are part of the alaska army national guard...which you just said yourself.
fbi10 1 year ago
@fbi10 Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, the 49th is considered part of the AK NG, but unlike all other units, it is not filled out by Alaskan citizens. It falls under the command of the 100th in CO, which means that Palin and all other Alaskan Governors have no say in its use or deployment. All decisions involving the 49th come from the 100th and the Pentagon.
tgear77 1 year ago
@tgear77 np no worries. I never stated that the 49th is filled with alaskan citizens however you are free to show me where, if i did. We already said that the 49th is part of the 100th in CO, and i never stated that she had a say in our national deployment or use but again, like i said, the troops that man the 49th are part of the AK army national guard...which she commanded as governor. Again, i never said she made decisions directly to the 49th but she was breifed on them and their events.

Regardless of what you hear from interviews, even the National Guard officials:
1. Palin does not watch daily operations of the Guard.
2. Palin has no experience with the Guard, none.
3. Palin cannot send the Guard overseas, never.
There is a scramble to make Palin look like a military leader. This is wrong.
Let Palin speak of her own experience. It seems she has none to offer as a VP.

Thank you
freeaneasie 3 years ago
Campbell is an idiot. On 9.11.01, who did the President contact first? The head of the FBI, the VP, and the GOVERNOR of NY. And why was the Governor one of the first 3 contacts that he made? Because the GOVERNOR CAN DEPLOY THE NATIONAL GUARD! Get your facts straight you liberal moron.
mysharona68 3 years ago
The Governor can deploy the National Guard to act within the State boundaries to deal with situation germaine to that state. The Governor of any state can not deploy troops overseas. No matter how you spin it, when the Alaskan National Guard troops were called up to Iraq, they immediately fell under the purview of the Pentagon. Get your facts straight please.

This man used to avoid answering the questions, subverting them to attack the opponent's alleged incompetence, and if the journalist persists he would go on to say something like Tucker did "surely you're not belittling... etc.". the fact is the the Republicans don't have answers in this campaign. She can't control her own kid, how can she help run this nation? Don't vote for the Silver Spoons faction!
careylowell 3 years ago
The Democratic ticket has as much or more experience than W or Ron Reagan did when they entered office. But don't worry: the haters will ensure the goosestepping GOP is once again elected.
careylowell 3 years ago
Actually, the Democratic ticket does not have as much or more experience than W or Ron Reagan. You see, both of them were governors - they each led a state. When has Obama or Biden ever led an organization, much less a state? There is no hating going on here - just simple logic. Please explain what you mean by the Democratic ticket has as much or more experience than W, Reagan, (Clinton by your standards), or McCain/Palin?
AmericaTheBeautiful8 3 years ago
Palin is open to having creationism taught in our public, and thinks that humans are contributing to global warming; as such, she is not part of the scientific community and not fit to lead the US in the fight against
global warming, one of the most serious threats we face.
NoPalinista 3 years ago
NoPalinista Correct, and she tried to get books banned from the library because she didn't like the language. Wow! That is scary! And they talk about liberals being socialists. We need to pay attention to the facist leanings here. The Right are the ones messing with our constitution, and lying to us!

"lead the US in the fight againstglobal warming, one of the most serious threats we face."
Junk science. If you want to see jobs head south, go ahead a lead that fight.

A lot of people are open to that. But, you are misrepresenting her position. She said they should be allowed to debate it. You do that a lot.

Real Men Love Sarah!
adfiller 3 years ago
Liar. She authorized the killing of wolves to protect the Moose population. She is a reformer. Obama has never stood up to his party.
abuehler97 3 years ago
Sarah Palin is a narrow minded vindictive extremist who uses her power to mow down her adversaries. She ignored Alaskans who voted down the horrific aerial wolf slaughter twice, reworded it so Yes meant No and got it passed to please her self serving needs. (Big game hunting $). She throws everyone under the bus, even old friends, if they become unpopular. She has never traveled abroad and would be a devastating mess if depended upon for military decisions. FEDS got into AK corruption, not her

"She throws everyone under the bus, even old friends, if they become unpopular"
Yes that's why she has an approval rating of over 80%.
adfiller 3 years ago
80% is an ambiguous number from a poll, it represents those called, not all Alaskans. But if it makes you feel better, by all means, toss it around.
I voted for Ron R.
Twice.
Palin has turned me against my own party.
I don't much care for Obama either.
NoPalinista 3 years ago
Well, that is her approval rating whether you believe it or not. Of course, there is the possibly that you are right and 80% of Alaskans are wrong.
adfiller 3 years ago
No, that is what you HEARD is her approval rating. Believing it is your choice. I live in AK, I know the people here.
NoPalinista 3 years ago
You need to make new friends. I know people there too. You can't fake a 80% approval.

well adfiller I dont need to make new friends, thank you. LOL I need new ones until I find ones who agree with you?

It's called talking out of both sides of their mouths.... what the neocons are clearly good at along with their bold face lies.

haha, he sounds like Obama!
O'Reilly pushed Obama and Obama finally admitted that he was WRONG in Iraq. He admitted that the SURGE WORKED. Barack Obama was wrong, John McCain was right!
John McCain still has far more experience than Barack Obama.
So does Palin
/watch?v=6Ie8LDlgJ0c&feature=related
abuehler97 3 years ago
Obama stated the surge worked not just because the increased amount of troops but because the sunni population in iraq has started to resist al quida as long with other factors. However bill o'reilly stated that obama was right that iraq was the wrong battle field. Also palin does not have more experience then obama explain to me what she has actually done and where her experience comes from
ProfessorX2000 3 years ago
If we had listened to Obama we would have retreated from Iraq and lost the middle east. We would have a defeated America and made terrorists the victors. Yes, other factors came into play but only because we increased our presense there and gave the Sunnis trust that we could be counted on.
Palin does have more experience. She has led a town and led a state. Obama has never led anything, in his life. If elected, Obama would be the first one since the 1820s to be elected without leadership exp.
abuehler97 3 years ago
abuehler97 If we had listened to Obama we would have never been in Iraq!
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
You mean if we listened to him as an Illinois state senator who's constituency was anti-war? The guy who said right after his speech that if he were privy to Senate intelligence that he may have voted for the war - if he been in a position to vote?
How about if we listened to Obama when he wanted to retreat out of Iraq? Iraq today would be a pool of genocide and Iran would be controlling Iraq and the Persian Gulf which controls 40% of the world's oil supply. Don't buy the bull- start thinking.
abuehler97 3 years ago
Remember Colonel MacFarland said most of the Anbar progress occurred between June 2006 and February 2007, months before the first surge troops even arrived. The Anbar Awakening one of the most crucial turning points in the war. For McCain to falsely claim that The Surge was responsible for it is rank dishonesty and a blatant attempt to re-write history. The Iraqis were paid $10day not to kill the invaders. There were 80,000 of them. That's $800,000/day to prop up General Petraous.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
That's funny, because the Iraqi government has said that it was the surge which allowed them to go on the offensive, deal with Sadr, and with the terrorists in Anbar that allowed them to turn it around. Hmm... you Obama supporters will do anything to see us fail for Obama to win - and even if we don't fail, you'll try to make it sound as if we have. You people are pathetic.
abuehler97 3 years ago
abuehler That is completely untrue.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
What did I say that is untrue, please tell me. Please tell us what I said that wasn't completely true? How is McCain the same as Bush? Why did Kerry want him to be his running mate in 2004 against Bush - does that sound like just like Bush? Why did McCain go against Bush on numerous issues? Why did McCain attack Bush over the management of Iraq? You are an idiot, you are completely ignorant of the facts.
abuehler97 3 years ago
abuehler97 Part of the interview by Tim Russert was left out, thats whats wrong with it! "I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports. ... What would I have done? I don't know,' in terms of how you would have voted on the war." Russert did not quote the very next sentence of Obama's statement, which was, "What I know is that from my vantage point the case was not made" for authorizing the war.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
abuehler McCain once attempted to change parties.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
I have, you are distorting it. When did McCain attempt to change parties - no one would have stopped him. He was however being courted to be Kerry's running mate in 2004 which indicates his independence. He also got the 2000 Democratic VP nominee as a supporter. Independence. He went against Bush 10% of the time. Obama only went against his party 3% of the time. He pushed for the surge which was very unpopular. You need to do some research and stop lying.
abuehler97 3 years ago
abuehler97 You are nuts!
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
You people hate Bush. You also hated Reagan. You mostly just hate. McCain and Obama voted the same way 90% of the time. What does that prove? Most of them are "here" votes.
Anyone with half a brain knows McCain opposed the administration on spending, torture, the way the war was prosecuted. He wanted Rumsfield to resign and was for campaign reform. On a lot of the big issues he is his own man, like him or not. His nickname is "Maverick" you know.
adfiller 3 years ago
Duh, you don't understand what independent means do you? Obama is afraid to go against his base - McCain has done it his entire career because he puts his country before his political career. If Obama were half the man that McCain was I wouldn't be so fearful of him. But Obama wants to lose the war in Iraq, let Al Qaeda win, and tank the economy so long as he becomes President.
abuehler97 3 years ago
abuelhler97 Either I'm a liar or I have no clue.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
Your showing your dumbness in suggesting McCain attempted to switch parties. How can anyone even take you seriously when you make such ridiculous statements?
adfiller 3 years ago
I never said he tried to switch parties, I said that the Democrats wanted him to join the Kerry ticket in 2004 and many people were pushing for it. Obviously, McCain wanted to win the war so he didn't, but that doesn't take away from the fact that many people were pushing it (like Hagel this year). My point is that this shows that McCain is hardly a "typical" Republican as Obama wants us to believe. Also, the 2000 Democratic VP nominee Lieberman is one of McCain's biggest supporters.
abuehler97 3 years ago
Should have been directed at JakiiRSM. Sorry.
adfiller 3 years ago
abuehler97 He was unpopular as a Repub because he didnt do what they expected, that is why Kerry liked him, whom I didn't vote for btw...in hopes of getting some pub votes and independants. Get off the win crap about the war. Talk about McCain voting to go into that mess. McCain changes his position with the wind and that is why he cannot be trusted to take a stand by either party. It is all politics with him not a belief system! He proved it by Palin. Did you say Lieberman, barf?
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
LOL LOL another misinformed neocon. Check your history adfiller. He most certainly did considered changing parties. You, I believe, just made a fool of yourself, because it is absolutely true! You people are so superficious...real men love sara? That is so impressive for her qualifications... Ad - VP job wanted. Have killed moose, 5 kids, 1 husband and governor for 22 months of about 600,000 when not hunting and fishing and working to help Alaska succeed from the union!

JakiiRSM 3 years ago
You talk like a dude to me. I do my research. Still, fact is you have not given a source on McCain. That is what started this exchange.
adfiller 3 years ago
adfiller Once again, I suggest to delve a little deeper into your research.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
You're right. They are wrong. Palin is more fit to be President than Obama is to be Vice President. The thing is Obama is running for President and Palin is running for VP. Only an idiot Obama supporter would argue about Palin's experience when it just opens everyone's eyes to how pathetic Obama is. I can't wait until they attack Palin's church from 2001, so that we can all talk about Obama's racist Trinity church through 2008!
AmericaTheBeautiful8 3 years ago
abuehler97 You bet antiwar. Antiwar with a country we had no business invading in the first place! Wise up! He never said that he might have voted for the war!! Retreat out of Iraq?? Well tell you what, it wasn't just Obama, 2/3 of Americans want us out, I guess that says it all!
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
You can't reverse the past, you can only deal with the situation we are in.
Do you realize that if we leave:
1) We have Al Qaeda on the ropes right now but if we retreat Al Qaeda will claim victory over the US and terrorist recruitment will sky rocket
2) Genocide
3) Iran will try to exert it's influence over S. Iraq and potentially invade
4) Saudi Arabia will then invade to protect Sunnis
5) Muslim religious wars
6) Turkey invades Kurdistan
You don't mind the risk of leaving?
abuehler97 3 years ago
abuehler97 Hahahaha where are you getting this crap?
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
Do you know anything about Iraq? Iraq is not capable of handling Al Qaeda, but thanks to McCain's surge we are getting there. Iraq now controls 11 of 18 provinces, but not all of them! Glad you love Iran idiot, they are trying to control Iraq. Do you think that is a good thing? Have you ever been to the Middle East? Have you ever talked to any Iraqis? Have you spoken to senior military officers? You sound like an idiot who listens only to MSNBC and lying Obama.
abuehler97 3 years ago
abuehler97 Yes as a matter of fact I do have 2 Iraqi friends and one close friend from Iran.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
BTW, you are very wrong on Obama.
I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports. ... What I would have done [on voting for the invasion Iraq], I don't know.

abuehler97 With $57 bill. in their reserves Iraq is in good shape.
JakiiRSM 3 years ago
1. It is not about money, it is about security
2. Do you not care if the Shia start a campaign of genocide? (Kurds ~10%, Sunnis ~30%)
3. Do you realize that Turkey will invade Kurdistan?
4. Do you realize that Iran wants to control Iraq?
5. Do you realize that 40% of the world's oil comes out of the Persian Gulf?
6. Do you realize that a US withdrawal before Iraq is ready will be the greatest victory for Al Qaeda - better than 9/11?
Have you ever been to Iraq or lost a family member? I have.

ProfessorX2000 3 years ago
More lies coming from Obama supporters. Palin was a Governor for two years - longer than Obama has been in the Senate considering he has been running for President for the past two years. Obama was never in charge of anything or anyone as a community organizer. Palin was in charge of a state (which happens to have the largest area, the most natural resources, and the only one which borders multiple countries). She had a multi-billion budget, a few multi-billion more than Obama ever had.
