I don`t need to defend myself, I just got home from a gig. I play live almost every weekend. Here`s a clip a friend took when I got up and faked my way through an AC/DC tune with a friends band. Hey Man I have really Enjoyed wathcing all of you're videos. I was wondering if you have any advice, I have a Peavey 5150 combo 2x12, and I just cant seem to get that Eddie tone but I'm sure most of the issue is the guitar itself, what with pickups I have I mean I tried to build an all around guitar keep EVH in mind as well and now I cant quite hit that sweet brown tone. your not gonna get the Eddie tone with that amp, I have one & tryed everything, that amp works great with a strat or a les paul & play the blues..... I play alot of Allman Bros on it......as far as pickups, I use D-159 evo's......GW

I would get the Wolfgang, reason is its a all around guitar, you can get a few sounds out of it, I play alot of Allman bros & I can get close to the sound of Dickie Bettes... plus its an investment, the price only goes up not down........

I wouldn`t say his playing has serious problems, he`s just not 'there' yet. Yeah the timing is off and the simple solo was wrong but maybe he hasn`t been playing for that long or maybe just as a hobby player. Some people may not have good natural timing when playing 'solo' without any backing tempo. Something he should work on I agree. I give him props for being into VH and chasing his tone! That`s a great rock and roll tone to chase.

I think both of those guitars he has are original Wolfgangs from when Peavey still manufactured them. He probably bought them in the '90s or he payed a lot to get one now, because they're a little hard to find now.
