Anyone with a Wii needs to read the user guide for this game (purchase of the game is not required). It is one of the most hilarious instuction manuals I have come across.
this looks baaaad. Gameplay and graphics look really cheezy and the music is awful. Sounds like they hired a 12 year old to remix it with a midi keyboard
I really don't know why I haven't bought this game yet... for as much as I LOVE the original Blaster Master, it seem so silly that I don't have this one yet...
Thumbs up for the game even though it's much different than the original in story and level design terms, at least it's getting some love.
Thumbs way fucking down for whoever was playing on the video. If I was in the same room as you I would have slapped you in the mouth and taken the controller. You stop to shoot everything, backtrack needlessly and check the map way too often.
Jesus... WHY!!!? FUCK... DAMN IT! Why do you do that! Nintendo!!!??? (Personal Opinion) This looks horrible... u.u the guy and the car looks horrible... the guy walks like if he did poo in his pants... None compare to the original
And the music sounds sucker... I preffer for ever the original more than all Blaster Masters after the first u.u My heart is broken lol
Blaster MAster was great on NES, still remember playing it ^^ And this remake looks awesome, hope they release on PS3 too. But why Sunsoft made a new story line?
@menroflkuk this is meant to be a Prequel,Alex comes before Jason,as Jason comes before Roddy/Elfie. I would call this SOPHIA the 2nd as apparently Alex's original SOPHIA needed to be upgraded :3
i'm getting this, ah i remember when i was a kid, i loved this game, i mean, right from the get go you are treated to an awesome classic tune. cant beat that :D
the sound effects are a bit too up-front. the drum samples they used for this are... not at all with-the-times of what this game is about... hmmmmmm I love blaster master and am still soooo fucking stoked to play this though. can't wait
@Rivalseeker@Roxxxxxxxbottttter I would too,the -only- gripe I have with this game is it is too linear. by this I mean that unlike Blaster Master (1988) there's little to no backtracking. (IE:Returning to Area 1 to get to Area 4,going to Area 2 to get to Area 7,etc.) other than that,it's a damn fine game.
It may be a year later.... but I still think the game's worth playing. My only complaints were a lack of variety in the environments and some control issues. Still though, the bosses are very tough and fun to fight and are well worth the effort.
@Roxxxxxxxbottttter Looks fun from this video, I'd get it. I loved the original Blaster Master, shouldn't care what reviewers say it's up to you if you like it or not :P
thanks very much for putting this up, im deff going to get this now even though i never beat the 1st or 2nd game and would still like to i love them so much haha anyway thanks !!
Thank you bud! Watching this and hearing the remixed themes gave me an irresistable urge to get this game... and the original! Brings back a lot of memories!
I am about 2 hours into this game and I really like it.. All my favorite wii ware titles are the rehashings be it Konami's 3 so far or the Star Soldier R one.. This one is included. A little tip, you can keep going back in and out of the caverns and the Power-ups will respawn. Essentially you can max out all 3 weapons in one cavern. Gyeah
Excellent video! Any doubts I've had about this game have been washed away watching you play it.
I also like your style of Let's Playing. Instead of yammering on about your job, you keep the comments pertinent to the game. And there are some pretty funny comments, too.
lol, don't be pushy dude. I don't have all the time in the world to be playing video games seeing how I have college work and other business to take care of.
I don't have a full opinion yet... but it's looking great so far. :)
Well gosh dude, I certainly wasn't being pushy! I just figured that you've had some time with it now and I just wanted to know whether you think it's worth $10 or not. Sheesh!
Easy dude... not trying to lecture you or anything. I was kind of exaggerating while also being truthful at the same time in response to what you're saying. I wasn't taking you too seriously.
Hence why I put "lol" at the beginning. But if it sounded like I was lecturing you, I apologize.
Is it just me or do these stages seem kinda small and claustrophobic compared to the original? Oh well. This is a slick looking game anyway. I'm gonna have to get this.
Yeah it took me almost years to beat the 1st one. I remeber when I was grounded as a kid I would spend my Sats playing it. I could never beat the 5th boss, But I did. Great game I hope this one lives up to it. I'm going to try to get it on this SAT.
please tell me that they threw in puzzles? That's what made the 1st game the best. The second 1 on sega could have been good but they left out the puzzles.
Puzzles? I don't recall any being present in the first game save for the one where you need to abandon S.O.P.H.I.A. to open a door in the sewer area.... then again, I haven't seen it past the ice world yet.
But you know, when you do get the idea down that you need to find the boss and beat it to get the power-up you need, it's more action-based than puzzle-based.
Nevertheless, that's entirely subjective to opinion.
and here I was thinking the Level 1 remix from the trailer was unbeatable, the in-game version totally rocks it! Level 2 remix also confirmed, so I'm assuming they remixed every theme :D
Well, do keep in mind... this is supposed to be a re-imagining of the original game as Sunsoft has claimed.
And... since when were you not trying to dodge enemy fire in the original game? I remember plenty of that happening... especially when fighting the bosses.
When I can't sleep I watch the firs 30 seconds of this video.

I wish the melody in the first level's music was more explosive, its just too soft comparing to the NES version of this game
