I thought that i would miss books, checking them out no; but the smell and just books, and turning pages etc ..but i really do prefer the Kindle. It's just easier to carry around and instead of carrying a book, dvd portable dvd player, ipod, etc..you have one thing. The Kindle. :)

But new generation is used to computers new technologies, the rate of children reading books is low. So this new initiative is like a solution to varios problems, i hope it will improve studying it will make easyer for young children to take them to school instead of 6, also it is ecological, economical ( saves money trees) .

I agree with the problem for obesity. Overeating is just that - overeating! It's not the greasy restaurant's fault, it's ours for eating too much and RETURNING there over and over to do the same thing.

I have mixed feelings about the Kindle.  I believe it will be a shame when everything goes digital...the old paper book will, inevitably, go out of style and stop being produced. However, it will be a MAJOR relief on all the trees being chopped down for paper. So, 1 Earth, -1 Humans.

I love to read real book. Getting away from technology for a few hours is great. Make some ice tea and go outside and read a book. Cheap and fun.
