Great tips! It will never be an all Mac world, thank God. Adobe has great products for PC. For the novice editor, Windows Movie Maker isn't bad - not the best, but not bad at all. It's limited but you can both edit and assemble great photo montages with it! I hear Sony Vegas is a good, cost-effective choice too, but haven't used it personally.
