I definitely didn't use this for thirty minutes, but I did let it stay in for about ten, and it worked wonders for me, although I'm white and have very fine, dark ash blonde hair, so it would definitely affect my hair differently than yours, but it definitely worked. It made my hair feel baby-soft. :D
You needn't stay for 30mins under dryer, 10-15mins is already too much, less is best (my opinion and experience)! Because when you over dry your hair with the dryer your hair becomes so dry/breaks from the protein therefore you don't get the result you're looking for which is mainly stopping breakage/softness! After you've washed your protein off make sure you moisturize it! Use Balancing Moisturizer as recommended, then add little of Moisturizer cream and seal it with a very little of oil
you followed the 2 step with protein deep conditioners and a protein leave-in....that's probably why your hair stayed 'crispy'. you will only need to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner after the 2 step. next time just use the balancing conditioner.
I bought some this today but now I don't know if it will be the right product for my hair. My hair is long blonde (I'm white) baby fine and the top layers will frizz. I want to get rid of the frizz. I have tried tons of products. The under layers are OK but the top layers (which is what people see are not good) I have lots of strands of hair but they are very baby fine and thin. I'm thinking this product might glue my pitiful hair together. Should I use this stuff or take it back?
You do not need a deep conditioner after using the Aphogee 2 step only the Balancing conditioner. The Mizani Hydrafuse works well too and gives your hair loads of moisture. Remember to not use too many other products that have protein in them following the 2 step to avoid the hair getting hard and that includes the Infusium 23 which may have protein. Look for moisturizing conditioners and leave in. Been using 2 step for 4 years and my hair is layered and at my waist, it's a keeper.
I've used the ATS Protein Treatment and honestly if I had known that it would smell that bad, I might have passed on it but it did strengthen my hair. From now on I will be doing a mild protein treatment. Thanks for sharing :)
I have been using this stuff for years! Great tutorial! It really works and your hair is beautiful.

@hairforlife7 Can it be used without the balancing moisturizer, for example a different moisture treatment?
