This song should be a hymn. Nick cave and the Badseeds, they are all Gods, they are so cool because they are just themselves there is no thought to what they do or why they do it., they do what they do because they feel it, if you like it then you are fortunate to have found them when so much dross tries to hide them from us
Vegism has been trolling on ever single PJ Harvey video dissing her. He/She is just a miserable cunt with nothing better to do than insult good music because they have no taste
Yeah i was looking up some stuff on PJ Haveys latest album and there was a comment from s/he slagging her off, what a loser! Love your user name by the way, those sinister dinner deals!

I pity anyone who actually likes this wrist-cutting theme music. Typical two chord songs, with a bunch of emo lyrics. ALMOST as bad as PJ Harvey. This music is like a black hole and if you let it suck you in, you'll be goth and addicted to heroin in no time. Keep listening for my sake, hopefully you'll overdose or cut too deep.
@thegorillasnake the piano is the supreme instrument. Just ask any classical pianist. Plus, the harder you hit the keys doesn't make it sound like shit , like it does with a guitar. Far more expressive as a result.
after watching this video for the umpteenth time, I've come to the conclusion that this is the best version of the song. As you can tell from my username, it's my favourite song!
I disagree with comment below. Though not the greatest version of this song, Nick Cave has probably made 1,000 different versions of this song which caused Cash to acknowledge its greatness by covering it in the first place. The ending crescendo is a really cool way of orchestrating a truly classic song.
I don't think he wears makeup. His eyes are very dark, naturally. He doesn't strike me as the type who would care enough to go through the effort of makeup.
well, im not certain if he used make-up back then but if you look at him and his music now i guess you could think that he and the singer of the birthday party are two complete different people.
Goddamn...I shed a tear at the end....
