i think MJ is prob one of the best celeb dads who gave there children a normal life.. and kept them out of the spot light.. thats a good dad.. also when he was not working he played with them and he read books too him like a father should do.. how many ppl can say they got a father like that? not many

First off I'd like to say that I don't for one minute think that Michael really hated his father. Michael could not stop talking about his father in one way or another - up until the DAY HE DIED. He didn't hate his father, he loved his father. Their relationship was complex and painful, but Michael did not have a hateful bone in his body. There is always a time when we think we might hate the people we actually love, but in truth, we still love them, even when we don't like them.

you're absolutely Right. There was never a time when Michael & Joseph parted that they didn't hug each other & say "I Love You." Michael said during his Oxford speech that he no longer "judged" his father because he recognized that his Dad could only project the life that he was raised & brought up in .. that his Dad did the best that he knew how. Michael also didn't disinherit anyone. He did what he always did .. left all the decisions in his mother Katherine's hands.

Don't know if you've seen "This is It", but it's interesting to note that during rehearsal, Michael mentions his thanks to his brothers, and then also makes sure to ask God to bless his mother AND father -- Joseph and Katherine. The notion that MJ left Joe out of his will is laughable. He left all his money to his children - as any single father would - and as you say, left the rest up to Katherine whom he adored all his life.

No, he did not leave all of his money to his children. He left his possessions to his children AND his family (brothers/sisters/father) via Katherine. Michael knew if he left the decisions in his mother's hands that she would make the "effective" decisions concerning everyone else. This is the way it has been between Michael, Katherine, & ALL of them during their entire lives. Katherine has always been the one everyone looked to for counsel, especially Michael.

If you read Michael's book "Moon Walk", you will get a better understanding about the relationship Michael had with his father. His father was abusive, but he was also the product of the way he was raised. Michael has admitted that he does not understand his father. His father NEVER hugged or kissed him. This outward display of emotion was foreign to Joe Jackson. That is why Michael is the complete opposite. All loving and outwardly displaying nothing but complete love for his children,

We'd all be lucky to have a father as loving as Michael, you could tell they were his life, and even if people say they're not biologically his, he earned that title, he brought them up, taught them, cared for them and showered them with love. He was a really good father, I mean I've never seen it, but the whole videos are so cute, and that shows that Michael was a lovely daddy. I wish, I would have a daddy, like Michael.
