3" down pipes & test pipes are a huge benefit to even stock turbo Zs. A 3" catback doesn't add much power over 2.5", but it's only a few $ more, and it makes you ready for any future turbo upgrades.
A turbo is spooled by pressure difference (i.e. high pressure in the exhaust manifold vs. low pressure in the exhaust). The larger the exhaust, the lower the back pressure, the faster the turbo will spool. The SZ 3" parts will give you less lag and more power and torque. Even going from 2.5" to 3" is a huge difference!
If a larger 3" part caused a loss of torque on an R32, it must have been poorly designed and caused too much turbulence and back pressure (probably in the turbo elbow).
Are your test pipes resonated ?

oh okay thanks, thats the only thing i havent changed now is the turbo elbow, i am ordering one from tunerlab really quick with split wastegate.
yeah to me it just felt less tourqe, so i wasnt sure what it would do on the Z32 but thanks abunch!
