Was at this race, stands empty as race sched for Sun cancelled due to rain, run Mon to near empty house. Polen badly hurt during practice, crash on rain slick track. Back so banged up he'd intended to start, run few laps for pts, park, but then he ignored pain, toughed it out, worked to front, very nearly tossed drawing gasps from crowd. When he finally won, he couldn't even climb steps to podium, back so hurt had to be lifted up by 2 guys. Incredible courage, best race I ever saw.
