@shussey100 Brazil has a strong and balanced sheets. Deficits goes up and down, because of the strong Real, the Brazilian currency. Strong currencies are good. Once it weakens, the deficit of Brazil will go down, because it has a strong export market, something that the US doesn't have. The US is a strong importer and a big spender, that's why we have here in the US budget deficits, and a worthless dollar, what is bad/horrible.

Brazil is the only capitalist nation on earth that haves all the foreign car makers between it's borders. The Brands of the cars are foreign, some are exported to it's neighbors and sometimes overseas. The Engines are 100% Brazilian made and are exported to in the Americas and overseas. Brazil does not need a Brazilian name car. It can do it, but might cost to much after promoting it. Chinese and Russian name cars are pirated. Skoda is Czech, but in hands of the Germans and is only in Europe

@shussey100 We had once one with great potential, but did not went futher, and bankrupted on 80´s or 90´s. The foreing brands here have almost total control on our national car industry. They have strong lobby and get our best engineers on this area to get work for them.

U can notice that most part of GM, FIAT and VW were safe on this last crises, cause of the heat market here. They´ve simple sent their gainnings overseas to save themselves.

Imports gone more expensive "to save national industry" trying to barricade chinese and korean much more cheaper then european and US produced here. But is not gonna have succcess, cause the oriental guys are bulding their own factories here.
