  • Quit criticizing the title. People are obviously more familiar with the beatles cover so cool your junk.

  • The Replacements are better than The Beatles.

  • Very good!

  • Nice live r&r. However if you were to put this version out on a cd it honestly wouldn't compare favorably to the Beatles version. That's not a knock, there's not too much out there that could be favorably compared to anything the Beatles did.

  • WTF, when is this going to be released officially on DVD?

  • charisma. rockin

  • Holy shit look at fucking Tommy...so young.

  • I give them an A+ in botching Beatles songs

  • @josephpnorman

I give you an A+ for ignorance!

I'm sure it's been noted a dozen times in the comment section, but this isn't even a Beatles original so anyone who goes and says this version is butchering the Beatles needs to check their rock history.

  • I love the part when Paul leans in on the mic and accidentally pushes it away then sings at an angle.

  • it's not a beatles cover, this song was around b-4 beatles .larry williams wrote this in '58,it's been record by 100's of bands.mine too.we gave props 2 williams when we played it

  • This is solid GOLD.

  • ...i have this and tons of other videos from the same show on my ipod...

    i watch them 24/7 <3

    i love bobbyy :(

  • The Beatles were covering it, too. It is originally from Larry Williams, 1958.

  • This has to be out on DVD somewhere right? I know the Twin Tone site has clips, but this obviously was done some what professionally. Put it out. Paul in great voice, Tommy looking all of 12, Bob playing his ass off, and Chris's same shoulder position the entire set. PUT IT OUT ON DVD.

  • F yeah!!!! i'm hammered and reading the newer replacements book right now jamming. you nailed it

  • Tommy was only 15.

  • i saw them with loud fast dancing (soul asylum) at Merlin's in 1981 (Madison, WI) what a performance. they were awesome.

  • you mean Loud Fast Rules?

  • too bad they got lumped in with everyone becuase they came on 'late' in the punk movement, but you always save the best for last, right? And so true on the plaid and haircut - wish I had had the balls they had at that age to get up and rock like that.

  • AWESOME!!! I couldn't stop my foot from tapping!!!

  • why these guys arent ALWAYS mentioned in the same breath as The Ramones (yawn), The Clash and other punk and alt pioneers, Ill never know. This is the goddamn best. maybe cause they werent flashy enough? No mohawks chains and leather....Just plaid and my 8th grade haircut. Matts are simply the best.

  • people who are truly damaged are off-putting. that said, i loved them. red light red light RUN IT!

  • The best version of this tune on youtube right here...rockin

  • now THATS rock and roll

  • Yeah, I think this is my favorite song from the entire set.
