  • Excellent playing.

  • this is fantastic

  • Maybe vary the Dynamics, and take another look at the mordents.. Apart from that, great!

    continue!!!! ;D

  • @maxijuu Thanks, I hope he continues. He is just playing for fun now

  • your rushing

  • well beethoven is always a challange, and you played very well ! congrats dude (:

  • compa metticcilo u pedale

  • verdaderqmente hermoso! muchas felicidades..y muchos exitos...

  • great job even though it lacked emotional depth it still didnt fail to entertain! since your 16, ill love to see whats ahead of you. SUBSCRIBED!

  • hell yes amigo!

  • @hxc4328 Nevermind what other people say...you HAVE got a talent...do not miss you chance...

  • He`s a talent! It`s not perfect but he is young and I`m sure that he can be a great player in the future...sorry my bad english...greetings from switzerland

  • I love all Beethoven´s pieces! Wonderful!

  • Magnifique!

    Keep it going my friend!

    8 STARS!

    Jacques Jr.

  • i have a cousin who can play like that...=p

  • its a bit 2 much like wilhelm more

  • That's because he has it memorized. Durr.

  • music is only for quick reference

  • i think it's bit too fast and loud....??

  • very well played....try to curve fingers more for a more fluid play...beautiful...

  • try to relax more while playing you seem to be pretty tense

  • great play but there is no spirit in the play ..he plays like a robot and doesnt use the pedal when it needs to be used

  • Ro0X! Parabéns!!

  • This is such an amazing song. Good job kid ! You have accomplished something i want to do before i die =D

  • It's a piece, not a song.

  • very good, but u need to use the pedal more,, u barely used it!!!

  • @0syntrax0 His decision as to dry pedalling is a legitimate artistic decision. I personally would use more pedal. Beethoven did not prescribe any pedalling which leaves the decision open.

  • It must feel so good to play all of it. And well. It is not played too fast, as I've read in the comments. Hear it played by Gould and you will see. Thanks for sharing your talent and that music.

  • that was very good. impressive.

  • very talented.

  • at 40 secs, is that the same melody as a different well known beethoven song? or is thsi the only one with that melody?

  • too fast and no emotion watch kempff's play this sonata and learn something from him

  • I'm impressed anytime I see somebody memorising this much. I wish I could do the same.

  • too fast :S

  • shutup man dis is bangin (Y)

  • sehr gut

  • sehr gut?

    what does it mean?

    German, French?

  • German. It means: "very good". Wonderful performance!!! Greetings from Poland!

  • Vielen Dank im Namen von Gabriel

  • Thanks! Fantaisie Impromptu(F.Chopin) he should!!! ; )

  • too fast ! Chill Bro

  • OH! Cool! I'm playing this song now! You do a very good job. I have yet to play it that well. ROCK ON!

  • hey u play very well

can u send me the sheet please ...i cant find it

    thx ! !

  • he aint looking at the sheets :S

  • @elisdagbok He has practised it enough not to need them anymore :) I do that as well, though I have them on the piano just in case.

  • excelent performance. congratulations!

  • this is the best mvt. of the piece

  • really nice.... but i think a bit slower and not that abrupt would do better for your expression :-)

  • Where is he from? or his family from originally? NOt that it matters really but I'm curious.

  • George: He was born in Newark, NJ USA. His father is from Peru and his mother from Brazil.

    Thanks for your curiosity ;-)

  • I think there was some sarcasm in his post, else yeah he would be a total turd.

Great job on this piece man!!!

    5/5

  • Excellent, we'll hear from you in 5 years

  • Thats because he makes it look simple and easy, but it's not. You have the music? Have you looked at it? Wow, first 6 notes. This piece is a good 6-8 pages. Congrats! Wow! You're way more talented then him, because it 'doesnt look hard to play'. A monkey could get the first 6 notes in a hour in a half. Post your own video when you can play this like he can, and maybe people won't think you're a douche. He did a fabulous job on this, and unless you can do the same, don't brag on how 'easy' it is.

  • Pretty good

And because your are dressed for the part you get the best rating from me =D

  • very, very impressive, great work!

  • This piece have 21 pages sheets

  • You are very good. I love the beginining

  • great choice and nice technique but did you need to catch a bus or so?

  • good but he needs to put his soul in to it ,

    he plays like a robot..

    great technic but no soul

  • good but not perfect 4/5

  • Need Sheet music as well if anyone wants to share ?????

  • hey plz i need the sheet music!!!

    really!

i've been looking everywhere but i cannot find it

    =(

and u play veeery well =]

    plz contact me!!

  • around 41 seconds it was a lil sloppy i thought

  • you speeded it up a lot ..you got the noted though

  • I think you played quite well overall, but it was just a tiny bit harsh, and the posture you were in showed a bit of tension..

  • Hello fellow pianist =) Pretty good job, but I feel it was a bit too harsh overall - the left hand was way too loud overpowering the beautiful melody at times, and a bit too rushed for my taste. He has a lot of talent, I would just really like to see him take his time more and bring out dynamics, rather than just play notes - I hope you know how I mean that. Hope things are going well =)

  • wow!!its so cool how you could play like that you should get regonized and lay in broadway shows and become famous this is just like beethiven =]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]==] super smileys!!

  • too much pressure on left (in overall too much pressure too) misusing in pedal it sounds like muddy left n right hands r not matched 0:34 mis touch omg i might write an essay to say mistakes on this video

  • Thanks for the constructive comment

  • ur welcome

  • Your such a pain

  • Well played! 5*

  • Played very well, you should be very proud. Please continue your studies.

  • It is clear how long you made to finish this piece sir

    :-)

  • very nice. you should add some petal here and there to make it flow together a little more. :]

  • Thank You, Should they be Rose or Orchids "Petals" ;-)

    Greeting

    Just Kidding

  • haha

  • ohh i meant pedal lol

  • Well played!

  • use some pedal!

  • well played... it sounds as if your rushing at some parts... as for the overall speed; everybody has a different opinion.

  • Very well executed. Good luck with your studies.

  • he play without octaves...it's not good =\

  • not bad... but is really too fast!! play slower and use more expression!!

  • i play the piano as well and i have piano lessons as well and their kind of boring.

i play the song beethoven no.8

  • thats my favorite one

  • If you play the Beethoven No8, I don.t understand why it should be boring. Beethoven's Sonatas are the most interesting and if well performed you can live the drama and make your own story, good luck and don't give up

  • obiously tou dont have much much experience, To start with you play the 8th what?, Ill assume you mean the Pathetique sonata _ and its not really one song, But divided into seperate movements. I am not trying to embaress you, but rather give you some constructive critisim thankyou/

  • It's very good. I'd slow it down a bit,At times, it just seems a little rushed at certain times, but otherwise it's not bad.

I'm trying to play this at the moment, and it's anything but easy!

    Well Done!

  • Thanks for the comments. As you said it, it is not an easy one. For three months of rehersal, Gabriel did not have time to go over the details of the sonata along with the other two movements and a Rachmaninoff Etude. he focused more on the notes and get it over with it. As of now, he has grown a lot more musically.

  • although it's not written in the piece oyu should use the damper pedal

  • i use a touch of it on some many some parts

  • great job!! anyone know were i can get sheet music for this peice?

  • get a book of beethoven sonatas thats what i did

  • piano67859: read your messages and you'll find out how to get this piece

  • Great job, hopefully someday I'll be able to play this piece.

  • hopefully, because i forgot some of the notes

  • maybe you may call it easy but i am an acomplished pianist and i have never heard anyone else say anything of the sort.

  • i dont like this, it´s to fast and no emotion, no pedal. it´s just fast. that´s all. it´s a pretty simple piano piece anyways :/ that´s my oppinion.

  • oh rly

  • Excellent!!

Could not have EVER done better myself.

    Keep Shining :)

  • Thanks on behalf of Gabriel

  • very good

  • Nice :)

  • Slower is better... and lightr too.

  • your the first black person other than my self that i have seen who plays this type of piano music much respect

  • Thanks, what about the Legendary "Andre Watts" who appeared on TV accompanied by the Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Leonard Bernstain when he was 14 years old in the mid 1960's, Now you have young fellows such as Cambry and many otheyoung pianists out there. By the way, to be more specific, Gabriel is Afro Brazilian-Peruvian American

  • nice job, but I would suggest you to start much more pianissimo. :)

  • dude your amazing when you bigger than beetjoven girl a shout out to yo girl tatlor

  • Hey that's my video

  • lol i did not write this delete

  • just wow!!

    You are amazing!!

  • Thanks for your comments in behalf of Gabriel

  • wow.. that is awesome

  • Thanks for your comments in behalf of Gabriel

  • DIIIIOOOOS!!! this is even more frasticalistical!!! Stick up!!

  • needs more pedal in the beginning. im working on this, when im finished i will post

  • Please post a video response, Thanks

  • It was good, but I feel the rush in your mind straining to not make a mistake.....

  • Gabriel! My man! I love your skill! Compose some of your own and WOW me on the piano!

  • put ur soul in it. don't jus play the piece. ur really good though

  • honestly, that's what typical piano teachers teach though. be a composition major there is the freedom

  • perfet lindo lindo 1,000 time lindo maravilloso saludos desde Roma y siempre arriva Perù!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks to everyoneone for visiting Gabriel. 25,000 views!

  • do not haste. sorry, but it was much to fast and rough. also pedal! nice however.

  • However, thanks for the comments

  • where is this guy from?

  • He is almost like you, He is half Peruvian and half Brazilian and he has a passion for soccer and of course, the computers. he currently lives in NJ

  • I can tell you are the mom. Equally congrats to you. I know if it weren't for my mother's support I won't be the musician today (even my superiors' admire to!)

    GRATZ

  • Joe whats up. I'm the DAD.

Thanks anyway or the comments ;-)

  • Very good technique, but personally I miss a bit of emotion... and through some parts he is rushing too much... nevertheless, very nice, thank you for this video. If you want to improve yourself, maybe you should watch at Kempff's interpretation.

  • excellent from a technical interpitation! This piece would be greatly improved my more sudden dynamic changes which would help add color to the performance. Also in most editions are very distinct tempo markings giving which alows us to not feel an overal rushing effect through the entire movement. Also being more aware of where the start and end of a phrase are and deciding on a tempo for every time it appears will help give it some uniforimity. Anyways great job i really enjoy your playing !

  • Thank You for the educated comment

  • doesnt seem to use the sustain pedal enough. sounds to violent and messy for this piece

  • A lovely piece. It seems, however, that his fingers are working ahead of his brain. Especially the left hand. Also there is no tension in his fingers; it gives the piece a tired feeling. Slow, careful practice would fix that relatively quikly.

  • You did better than I could, but it needs more emotion. Listen to Kempff's performance. But good job.

  • I will pursue Gabriel to revisit this piece and focus more on the emotion. Thank You

  • God bless that boy.

    Tu Tio

    Oscar

  • This is a difficult piece, bravo!

  • Too much hurried, with no so much expression (also your left hand is stonger than the right in the Tema...).

You have finished at least a minute faster than you should have!!!!!!

Maybe you were embarassed by people listening to you.

    Continue to work on it.

  • My friend. if somebody was embarrased for the performance obviously there would an acceleration in the tempo which not occurs here. It might be slightly faster than usual, but I would challenge you to play it at least one minute of it. You have to Work very hard to get to it. Ciao

    HC

  • dear hxc4328,

i have the talent to play all the sonata and i will give you my video when i will upload it.

slightly faster? it's 2 minutes faster than mine... but this isn't the problem... gabriel must put more expression in it.

  • My friend, I'm not questioning your talent, I'm sure you have it, but to say that Gabriel's ver is 2min faster than yours? I dont digest it. Lets use for instance W. Kempff as a ref. 6'43" yours is 1 minute slower, Natasha Pikoul 5'43" your ver. is two minutes slower and She still get the props from your comrades. I accept the fact that Gab's ver locks expression, but please give the kid a break. He has to focus on the notes(only 2 months of practice) if you want slow ver check his Mov I

  • omg

  • 4.02 - 4.10

needs work!!! your left hand mostly

  • Thank You, even though Gabriel might not be pursuing a musical carreer , he is revisiting all his major works and I will encourage him to post it. He does not like to be recorded, unless it is a live piece like this and all the others.

  • great job. nice tempo

  • nice very well played man you are so cool

    you are the newest Beethoven

  • yeah right. this kid is terrible

  • i was jk 4 ne one that thot i was serious. hes amazing

  • very good!!

i´d like to know how difficult that is... can anyone tell me?

  • very, very, very, very difficult. extremely hard and super advanced

  • Very difficult! I played this song for my senior recital. It took me about 7 months straight to prepared for it and be able to play it performance tempo.

  • Demasiado rápido

    -_-

  • Very good, very impressive! And hey, cant u make amovie where u show how to play this song?

  • i agree. a movie would b MOST helpful!!!!!!!

  • are you crazy?! you think he's gonna make a tutorial for tempest sonata. Don't be a poser take some lessons and buy the music. Stop trying to just play the piece.

  • well played man!

  • Thanks

  • Rock on dude.

  • Thank You

  • Truly amazing

  • wow - amazing job!! Truly beautiful!

  • Que bello!

  • christ almighty

  • Amazing...

  • Nice job! Don't listen to the others who critize too much. This Sonata - as most if not all of Beethoven's - is difficult but very nice. Not everybody needs to be the same as Claudio Arrau or Alfred Brendel. Keep on playing your piano! It is gratifying and keep on uploading your performances. Thanks.

  • God, if i could see mmore such geniuos comments...God bless you , sitioa6

  • Cleanly played. He has the idea. He just needs to polish it and smoothen the piece. Well played overall. I'm waiting for a newer version of this.

  • yeah let's see you play it and not your bro... until then shut up!!!!
