  • OK, MF is dead on the PSTN, but T1 is alive!

When a telephone is on hook there is a MODEM attached that does 1200 baud for CND.

This is kicked down to 300 baud for initial incoming data and goes to 9600 baud once handshake is established, a standard developed by AT&T for its "Craft Access Terminal".

But, yes, you can indeed access this.

Verizon uses the GTE/MCI standards and not Bellcore.

Now that you know that you can access the out of band signaling, do something!

  • it stopped working today! it worked yesterday. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • in wich countries does this still work?

iam living in croatia, can i hack telephones here?

  • @KedmenecMartin no, i don't think so. but if you can pay for an international call, you can call his number.

  • Hay man i just got into blue boxing and it is really cool i am so glad i found your vid. although could you please tell me how to set up asterisk with the correct plugins i can do it on windows or linux thank you so much this is so cool.

  • what version of debian is it running? special apps? aside from asterisk ohh tried calling the pbx it nice... hope you could put recordings on old phreaking interviews or something. great vid

  • I posted a message about Grand Central and all of its greatness on your MF page. I thought that would be helpful to your members. Why did you take it down?

  • I'm going to check the site again to make sure I didn't overlook it, but I was hoping to get patches for * 1.4

    This is great stuff! :-)

  • I have always wanted to make a Blue Box call. I am Captain Crunch Whistle. thanks I will get one and have some fun and buy a shirt or two. I heard there is still a few places you can use the blue box in rural areas in the North west and Canada. Is this true?

  • OK. Thats great. TNX for the info. Out of interest do you feel like a quick chat? Can I grab you on an extension on your projectMF box? .-.-.

  • Sure, KP+121+ST.

  • So glad you put this up on You Tube, I've been dieing to see it first hand.

If I run the patches on my Asterisk. Can I limit the Blue Box access to certain extensions? As I use Asterisk for Ham Radio links as well.

    .-.-.

  • You can set up a unique context for the incoming PMF access, be it PSTN DID, local SIP phone, IAX, etc., so access can be controlled there. This defines how access to the SF/MF trunk group is made, usually over the trunk group to a recording of a ringback tone.

There is also a unique context that defines what numbers can be blue boxed once a user accesses the trunk and successfully seizes with 2600.

The entire ProjectMF system can be effectively isolated the rest of the system.

  • If this is what I think it is, it is a great way to do blue box activitites legally and safe and fun!!! Am I right? if so, this will be a big club soon. Thanks for the video.

  • wow. I am new to this. This is so cool.

  • Very cool concept. Can you give more information on where to get the Asterisk mods you're using and how to connect into this network of old switches?

  • Incredible! I can't wait to take it for a test drive
