Always a favourite hymn of mine but as I lay very ill in hospital in Sheffield, I listened to this over and over on my headphones and watching the video on my phone whilst tears ran quietly down my cheeks.

I LOVE THE WAY THE SALVATION ARMY PEOPLE SING THEIR LOVELY HYMNS. I THINK I FOUND GOD THROUGH THEIR MUSIC WHEN I WAS A SMALL LAD. THEN I DISCOVERED SPIRITUALISM AND THIS IS WHAT SAVED ME FROM ATHEISM, NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH ATHEISM, OF COURSE, BUT I AM THE SORT OF GUY WHO NEEDS A CRUTCH. I HAVE TO LEAN OF SOMETHING OR SOMEBODY, OTHERWISE I'D FALL OVER. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS FAR. GOD BE WITH US ALL.
