Any noob's who think mutas are OP, are too stupid to realize he did not even have 1 for 1 stalker to the muta count. He got massively outplayed, outmacroed, outeconed, and outsupplied. Stalkers 1 for 1 do beat mutas.

@Balgore8 Well ... Muta's win 1v1 but if you manage to get upgrades a good times 3v3 the mutas win. Don't get me rong, I am not saying that mutas are OP, I am a zerg player and, it realy is easy to own mutas

any zerg can't get enough mutas out before the 10 minute mark... So? Just get Archons!!! ( Or thors ) ... Its rediculus. But w/e mutas only have good mobility the dammage isnt great, unless in mass.

@Balgore8 I do agree that Stalkers 1/1 beat mutas.. but the larger the numbers get the mutas are better. Mutas do splash damage and stalkers do not. So 20 Mutas easily beats 20 stalkers with equal upgrades. In this case though.. the zerg was just better.

@bubba18sar and why are you engaging 20 mutas with 20 stalkers? if the mutas are in your base, you should have canons supporting the stalkers, as well as warpins. Also....it's called spread......a roach loses to a zealot 1v1, but you don't hear us crying zealot op...no....we micro our roaches.

Mutalisks outright murder: zealot, sentry, immortal, colossus, voidray, dark templar.

Mutalisks dont have to engage due to speed: stalker, high templar, archon.

Viable units vs muta: phoenix.

Units, which phoenixes are good against in direct confrontations: /

add 5 corruptors to your muta army and no micro can help you.

@MutenRoscher Archons ... Collosi ... You can't get both very early in the game , and if you do ... You'll have 1 or 2 3 at best of both by the 12 minute mark ... And no mobility?

THe zerg can just stick to run byes and if he sees collosi... To get both Archons and Collosi and CHarge zealots in reasonable numbers is about 15 to 18 minutes ... And even then ... Mobility not so great. Nydus Worm with 20 banelings and explode the tech buildings ... IT should be gg from there on for the zerg.

@Xiu123 lol, just mentioned them as they counter mutas, as laser counters butter...

phoenixes are actually excellent at killing of mutas, if u micro them backwards. since they can shoot while moving and have greater range than the mutas its actually theoreticly (but hardly in reality) possible to never lose a single phoenix to mutas :)

archons should be great aswell, if the mutas get cloged up real tight.

@yocomehelp Phoenix are not a viable counter. What are you going to do with the phoenix after you kill all the mutas? Can't attack buildings/spines/spores. So after you mass up all these phoenix then they are worthless.. and if the zerg just switches to corrupters then they can easily beat the phoenix. Mutas are Overpowered..

@bubba18sar yeah, couse to counter something u must not only be good at killing that specifik unit, u must also be able to counter more stuff, otherwise ur not a counter? makes sense.

if u ONLY goes phenix, ur screwed either way, make a combo of stalkers, phoenix or why not an archon zealot phoenix mix? the archons or stalkers can help against the mutas, and are mobile enough to minimise muta dmg, with some decend micro, and corruptors cant do shit against ground, so they become useless.

@bubba18sar Phoenix are a pretty good counter and they have an awesome ability called levitate. It takes micro and skill to use these units though, and after you kill mutas you go back to building a ground army. I've played protoss, and stalker sentry does pretty good vs. mutalisks especially since mutas are a harass unit. Also, stalkers are more massable than mutalisks.

@Xiu123 3 archons 1 mothership kills infinity mutas xD...or more practical leave archon and cannons at bases...pretty hard to engage that with mutas effectively. ofcorse storm owns mutas or forces them to run away depending on micro. i main zerg btw

Unless you open stargate and get tons of phoenixes, you're kinda screwed after 2 bases. you can defend your main and your natural with archons, but not a 3rd..

@xPulse365 archons and templar are terrible versus mutas, blink stalkers all the way. If you have the skill to position them with observers and blinks then mutas stand no chance.

The only other counter to mutas is phoenix, 2 stargate is a hard counter to that mass muta style
