  • What line test do you use for mainline and leader on the IM9 when u fish for kings?also, what hook size?

  • @leongtoon62

For Great Lakes kings I'll generally use 10-lbs main line, 8.4-lb shot line and 6.8-lb leader. For smaller tribs I'll run hooks from 8 to 12, for bigger rivers I might go to a 4 or 6 (depending on the situation). For ocean-run fish, I run gear that is at least 50-100% heavier.

  • @carpzilla42, with the IM9 for kings, what

Test for mainline and leaders, also, what size hooks. Grt videos! Keep it coming!

  • Hey man, awesome vid. How big was that brown? Do yup figure it was lake run or resident? I've heard of browns wintering over in creeks and tribes from the fall but never seen one caught in the spring

  • Can you tell me whats a Jiggy Hexagenias ?

    Thanks

  • @gusuk68

A Jiggy Hex is a beadhead Hexagenia nymph tied on a jig hook so that it suspends horizontally under the float (instead of hanging vertically and looking completely unnatural).

  • Just ordered that reel in your clip looks great.

    Tight Lines!

  • Would you use the 13'6" IM6 for Ontario Kings just wondering if it was powerful enough?

  • @gusuk68

The 13'6" IM6 is okay for Kings, but you can handle them better with the 11'6" IM6 or the 13'6" IM9. Just remember to take you time fishing them.

  • Can you tell me what line you are using as i`m totally new to centrepin fishing?

    Thanks

    Guenter

  • @Milty7227

It's the GoPro with the Chesty attachment. Excellent camera, but the audio recording is terrible.

  • This was a nice video. Not going to lie I am jealous.

  • Really enjoyed this video.

Can't wait for more man. SST-2 and the 13'6" IM6 is a sweet combo for those rivers!
