downed Sapp this morning aroudn 3 am only frost resistance was form pali's frost aura and shaman's totem.. amke sure you keep the groups split in two so you dont get caught under the blizzard when hiding behind the frozen party member

You don't really need the frost res, its fairly easy if you know what you are doing... did it 5 times with out frost res but i suppose we had wicked healers... and everyone knew what they was doing without even explaining the tactics.

Easy if you have Druid pala shaman for the Ressistances, Jez musta been easyer PRE-TBC when people acctaly had ressistances... saying that it was harder back then what usta make it fun lol

You dont really need the frost gear , depends all on what class you play and how well geared our healers are , i did it today with ez on my druid , 35k self buffed hp with no ress , but am a druid x)

you think that a mage can keep the aura damage down by using frost ward whenever he can? Ice armor can be good too for the extra frost resist.

To your q below, when we first went Naxx this boss was impossible withought res due to our lack of gear, so if your all undergeared then frost res is a MUST, however now this boss is a cakewalk on easy street for us with 0 res in 10 and 25 man. So it depends on your gear levels. And Frost Ward shouldnt be needed its only 40 res I "think", also the extra DPS would be nice due to his high HP. However if your healers are having probs then why not put it on.

Btw in my other response I was talking about Ice Armor not frost ward, for Frost ward it will take about 1 and a half ticks of the frost DMG. It costs 16% of your base mana if I remember correctly, so only use this as a VERY last resort. Or else your going to go OOM FAST! Good luck with this boss.

I just wonder, if you don't have high frost resistance, how much harder will it be?

I'm a druid healer with improved MotW so I give like 83 resistance and then we have paladin healer for 130 more but that just gets 213 (like 200 less than you).

I'd be very happy to get any tips you have.

They have a set of frost resist gear out now. It comes in cloth, leather, mail and plate, but must be crafted. Just ask about it in trade channel, it will get you about 250 frost resist alone, maybe more.

I'm confused. You said for phase 2 to spread out, but then people need to get behind to random iceblocked people? Wouldn't it be hard to get behind them if you're all spread out?

Yea I forgot to mention that the Ice Blocks deal damage to the person and anyone around them, something like 2K a second withought frost res, so if you dont have frost res stay spread until he does the Deep Breath thing, just make sure your close enough to get behind it for the spike DMG and dont die. If you all stack behind the blocks straight away with no res that can be a lot of raid DMG espeicaly in 25 man.
